Thanks for a great tutorial. If you have problems finding 4K resolution like me, make sure it's plugged into a USB 3.0 port! It will allow only up to HD if it's in a USB 2.0.

Dude this was so great. I thought my expensive iMac Pro was laggy. Thank you for helping me understand how to slow down the audio. FYI: I had to set my sync offset to 1300ms! But it's synced great now and the video quality is superb.

I think you're the first person that mentioned that you NEED to connect the camera with a USB 3.0 slot. I am still using an older Thunderbolt display (it's still good!) and I never bothered to check whether the USB slots on it are 2.0 or 3.0...
Just used the "better" port on my iMac and I'm pretty confident that will solve at least some of my issues. 🙂

My Brio is plugged in to a USB 3.0 port. But i can´t select 4K in the OBS or any other Logitech application to set the resolution to 4K. It will only allow 1080.

AD...thank You for this vid as I am holding a brand new Brio, couldn't find this nowhere but apple online store had the "Magnectica" BRIO...i thought only for MAC, but what I'm seeing is it came with a magnetic piece instead of regular mount...ive put it on a desk tripod & boom its running on windows...paid only $214 total & 2 day shipping....now I'm ready for OBS

Just found you. I’m in the middle of figuring all this crap out so thanks for all the tips. Question: until recently I haven’t had a permanent spot for my studio, so I bought a gaming laptop 2 years ago based on its specs for streaming. It seems to work ok with brio direct in youtube, but I am wanting the bells and whistles OBS offers. Is 4K streaming in OBS possible with a suitable laptop or should I start shopping for a desktop?
Super helpful video, thank you! Logitech Capture also works for capturing 4K but I couldn't get my camera to allow me to set it to 4K, turns out it was connected to a cable that only allowed USB 2.1. I switched back to the original cable for the camera which I had hooked up to a different computer and now I'm able to record and stream in 4K. Thanks!

We tried to connect our brio to the "blue jack" on our thunderbolt dock (there's no blue jack on the mac mini) and it doesn't recognize the camera. How are we supposed to use 4 k if we can't even connect it properly to our computer? We are NOT tech savvy and can't seem to find any info on this.
Thanks a lot for the video! Was having trouble as OBS was not capturing from the cam at 4K and it turned out to be the USB port. The passthrough on the G815 is not Gen 3, and I had my Brio connected to this port.

Great tutorial, thank you. I'm curious about the difference between the quality in your regular stream (bottom left) compared to the settings in your OBS preview, which don't appear to have the right color correction/saturation/exposure/etc set. Where do you set those so that OBS correctly captures it like in your regular feed?

So even though the video and audio is off sync it looks normal on stream? it looked normal in recording so I assume it will look normal on stream even tho it doesnt look normal to me on OBS? Great tutorial BTW thank you!
The version of OBS I have does not allow me to type in the 4k resolution once I have added the brio...so I am still getting a grainy output...any advice? (I'm using it on a macbook pro by the way)

I have a question, can all these settings be made even if I have a laptop and a normal internet connection?
when selecting the resolution for my Brio device properties for a video capture device in OBS, it only displays 1080p. When I change to 3840x2160 I loose the display signal.

Great video. After creating a profile and scene collection, how can I save the setting for the next video that I want to create. When I try to click on the profile and scene collection created in the last before setting up for another video, nothing happens. The previous settings are not imported.

Does anyone have a fix for Microphone and webcam being out of sync when streaming with Streamlabs OBS? It happened with my c920 so I upgraded to the Logitech Brio and Still have the same problem so I assume there must be a setting to correct this and it the same amount out of sync!
It seems you upgraded your lights from Neewer to Elgato. If so, what was the rational behind it? Either way, what about a short video on your current studio setup?

Thank you for this video. I have a question. I followed your instructions to the letter. I also previously watched your video on the best settings for the Brio out of the box. I turned off Logitech Hub before following your instruction. I ended up with a zoomed in closeup of my face in the OBS software. The properties window appears the right size, but the window in the software is zoomed in. I'm assuming that is because of the resolution I am recording at? How and where do I remedy that? Thanks;.

I'm using OBS for online Zoom lessons. Right now I'm using OBS for video only, and VB Meeter for all my audio from my audio interface and feeding the two independently to Zoom. Is there a way to sync up the audio even though I'm not using OBS for audio? These videos have been incredibly helpful BTW. Thank you!
One other question. I have two Brio 4k webcams, one in front and one above for my piano. My piano cam keeps freezing when it's set to anything above 1080p. Is there a way to avoid this? Could I have a wrong setting somewhere?
