Thanks for the tutorial , always good to see how others do it. I have an Air2, I bring the drone down to a catchable height. Then approach the drone from the side cos it’s no side sensors. When I know the drone is stable enough to come in close. Put my hand under, as it raises up, I pull down on the left stick to land

I always use a platform when I see gras, or uneven ground. I find it funny to land it inside the painted H, or else I don't pass 😂
Rarely hand catch my MA2, spinning props and my hand are not good friends 😂 The only times I would consider a hand catch is a must are when you are on a rocky place, and it's impossible to do a vertical landing whiteout sliding on the ground.

Indeed, not for the faint of heart for sure. First time I nicked my finger I flapped around like my arms were on fire. No damage, but it seemed like the right thing to do at the time ... Good Flying!

One thing you didn't mention, especially for the beginner, is that you always want the drone's camera facing away from you. This will save your face if you choose the wrong controller stick after the drone leaves your hand. Otherwise a great tutorial.

Uh, once you get chopped, you will learn to just let it land on the ground. Im coming from a hobbyist background, and speak from experience. Its never worth it.

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained" they say, but if learning something new then certainly learn to do it safely, and if for you that means never doing it at all, that's okay too ... nothing is for everyone. I buzzed my fingers a few times before learning what NOT to do (no injuries, thankfully), but that in itself was one hell of a motivator on what TO do, including paying more attention and getting better every time, hence the video to help others learn from... Good Flying!
