Ford made several mistakes but they could have been fixed.We love our Ford ecosport and it's so nice that it can look a toyota dead in the eyes and say," I'm reliable too." We have a 2013 trend diesel manual ecosport. Booked xuv700 ax5 but it doesn't have telescopic steering whereas our Ford has tilt AND telescopic.Dealers and service was decent.Ford was ahead of its time but underrated. Now that they have left, people are realising what they missed on.
Even we have a ford ecosport 2016 diesel manual (it’s there In only manual in diesel)it’s an awesome car I love I miss ford a lot ❤

Tata has no Sedan 1.5 Liter engine and 4.5 meter segment. So City,Virtus, Slavia and now Verna are playing in market.
Tata launched Hexa a dacade ago। But it failed. Because its price was too high to justify Indian market where Enova was leading this segment and well stablished the trust among buyers specially Taxy segment.

Been driving a Ford Figo since 2012 and no other car has come even close to it's driving dynamics in the same price segment. Got it for 6 lakhs on road and it's always a delight to drive it.
On top of that , the customer service at Ford is just impeccable. Ford did centralized surveys after servicing of the car, which kept the service centres at check.
Needless to say, we also have a Ford Endeavor in the family and for a body on frame car, no other car is as comfortable as it. Toyota Fortuner is no where close to it.
Had the Ford launched the Ford Territory, things would have changed drastically. They didn't upgrade their cars with the market..There was a huge gap between the Ecosport and the Endeavor and that is price segment for maximum buyers... On top of that, they reduced the charm of the original Figo with the new launch
.What was once comparable to i20 in terms of looks abd size was now somewhere around the grand i10 size...Too many mistakes in too little time....I just wish Ford makes a huge comeback someday and I can possible buy an Everest someday...

Service was decent and service cost is minimal compared to Hyundai and Maruti.
I own ecosport and figo aspire and average service cost didnt breach 7000/- and 6000/- respectively. where as brezza and venue would cost around 8-12 k per service.

Nothing but heavily paid Indian management of Ford killed ford in India. They took salaries and perks from FORD and worked for other competitor brands. To help other manufacturers, they delayed many upgrades and models, delayed and deleted many features from existing models, that resulted, competitors launched their models before ford, got early mover advantage, and later ford launched fewer features / higher priced models. Lack of new models reduced the motivation at the dealership end also resulted lack of footfall. Ford India also started compromised on build quality and driving dynamics which it was earlier known for. On the other hand, other manufacturers improved on quality and ride and handling.... ford was going down. Fault is entirely of Indian management team.
#NarendraModi is the reason why these companies are leaving. He only knows to kill the competition by any means necessary. He did that in politics and in the market. It was started in Gujarat, and now it's happening in the rest of the country. Because killing your competition is a guarantee that you're not bound to offer quality in your work.
Why are almost all international car makers leaving the country? Why are international mobile operators left/leaving? Some #Bhakt would say that they didn't offer quality at a good price, but our mobile services are worst in this world, thanks to monopolized Market. This is the main reason why these companies are leaving India, the reason why Tatas, Ambanis, Adanis, and Mahindras are pumping so much wealth in maintaining the image of #PM. Because their owners are Indian citizens, they simply cannot refuse any such request by the #PM or the #BJP govt. And in return, Modi Govt kills their competition. The same cannot be done with international companies because even if they play foul at the hands of Modi Govt, they'll have to face the heat for the same in their home country. They cannot be controlled the same way. Eventually, it's the end consumer who has to suffer. Tatas are least worse out of all, but even they ain't clean.
