I love IndiGo because of its on-time performance. It does not commit its passengers so much so that the bar becomes too high to achieve. It maintains its two big components for Indians- time and price.
Deccan Air was the first low cost no frills airline, it also had Airbus aircrafts, yet it failed. It would have been nice if you had compared Indigo's strategy with Deccan Air's strategy.
Indigo before venturing into airlines was a ticketing company. It was taking care of Air Deccan's ticketing. It stole the info of Air Deccan and started Indigo airlines.
@@paragvnit : what’s there to steal ……everything is open in the market …..Deccan was a no frills model and it succeeded because of cost cutting wherever possible and by doing so it made air travel accessible to the burgeoning indian middle class, whereas Kingfisher tried to provide service quality which was in between premium and economy class segment at competitive prices and did not succeed. I like how Indigo quietly entered the market without much fanfare. Deccan had the first mover tag, kingfisher's image was associated with its flamboyant founder, Go Air was backed by a big business house. Indigo just started showing up on the booking websites, there was not grand story or identity connected to it. It continued that way, non-chalantly for a few years as it grew slowly and steadily.

Indigo’s monopoly is dictating passenger harassment. From stalled plans on taxi to pilots denying additional flying hours or their ground staff having not customer centric behaviour. It’s a matter of time when people would change to other airlines for metro cities. It’s only tier 2 cities where people don’t have a choice that they would have wait for other operators to start.
Their cabin crew, especially from NE. If the flight is half empty they demand to see boarding pass from window seat pax, as if we are travelling in a city transport bus, which Indigo actually is. Monopoly breeds arrogance.
8:42 their are many india one customer that don't use airline for travel as they don't need to go at any place so urgently as of now... But i am witnessing that this is changing So i think that their is more market going to be in upcoming years for aviation sector

As a passenger indigo is everything that I stand against I have banned taking any flights on low cost carriers indigo is when I checked is a low cost carrier. Last year I spent 8.5 lakhs in flight ticket in full service airline. But as an investor and my knowledge on airline being an avgeek Indigo looks promising I put my money on indigo and made profits.
The best strategy adopted by Indigo is asset lite model. It means no heavy investment nd no liabilities on BS. Thus no need for bank loan nd no interst burden...
Some more things to add here : 1. All female crew. Less take off weight, less fuel needed. 2. Faster TATs. Their planes turn back faster. Helps them achieving on time performance, less airport rents for parking, more money generated from these leased planes

Indigo was a good airline in the initial years it had good customer service, being on time reputation as well as good pricing of it's tickets. We need to know that once any company tastes success it is next on the ambition to grow. While growing it forgets customers, it's perception it had initially and being socially ethically responsible to the customer. Thats what happened to Indigo it forgot to maintain its consistency in how it was initially perceived by the customer. The very same customer who initially lauded the airline now prefers another airline. Growth, market share and profitability will always replace customer satisfaction, ethics and consistency of customer perception.
