Beautiful boat, only critique I would say is when you dropped the seat on the stern at the beginning of the video, it sounded like a cheap fit up? almost like it was an after thought but everything else was stunning! I want to laugh uproariously at Nick's "the last thing you want when you are out at sea is loose stools" joke, but his delivery was so dry, I am not even sure it was a joke. Is "loose stools" not a possible innuendo for diarrhea in the UK like it is in the USA? Whether it was intentional or not, it was a hilarious one liner...and props to Nick either way. 😂💯✌

I hate that Fairline Squadrons now have aft galley layouts. I want to walk into my boat just like my house. My main entry goes into the living room, not the kitchen. I'm not a chef, so my life doesn't revolve around the kitchen. I want a small galley that has enough room to cook a meal and get out of there. I want the largest salon or living room possible. Most people spend far more time in the living room than they do in the kitchen. Especially on a boat. Older Fairline Squadrons are still some of my most favorite boats...not the new ones. This is a beautiful boat though. One more thing I don't understand is, on cabinets and closets with mirrors, why not put a brushed metal piece where you press to unlatch? I hate fingerprints on everything.

    • @davidmwood560

I have to agree. Every boat I've owned has had a central galley. Always with a decent extractor that would exit at deck level. Usually just forward of the wheelhouse/helm station.

I'm pretty sure buying one of these new isn't an option for the vast majority of us (could be wrong). But since I've been checking out yacht world once in a while I look at these with an eye to 10 years or more in the future. Add ten to twenty years to that beautiful boat and it IS something a lot of people could manage if they really wanted to. You're not going to want to wait that long but just know there are boats available now that were fantastic 10-20 years ago that have probably been well taken care of.

You know the More WE.. yes Samantha does too, look at all the boats which, is quite a lot, the more I absolutely love these FAIRLINES.. that's why we'll be having a Squadron 58! But they are amongst the best I have seen. These are along with the SUNSEEKERS are in a different class. They go further than some, some of the competitors I've honestly find quite dull compared
Only because we started with you, and I learned all I need to in this regard
Champion 👍 we appreciate all the tours and THIS boat is knockout !!! 😁👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🍀Ps .. make sure Marriane knows I always think of her with the green clover 😁😁😁👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

How many positive things can a Fairline 68 have? No chines above the waterline. 2. Light switch that can be turned on in spite of breakers being in stand-by. 3.Traditional Fairline quality woodwork throughout. 4. Freeform interior furniture, rather than right angle plot plan. 5. Switch and functional backup for the digital displays. 6. "We can edit it out later". 7.Utility room that is a big improvement over the cubby holes on smaller versions. 8. Multiple interior floor plans for a truly custom stateroom set-up. 9. @@On a personal note to Nick: I hope that I was the one to mention the English homely VS the American version of homely. 10. TWO holding tanks. One for the owner's cabin and one for the 3 quest staterooms. Attention to detail. 11. British Engineering and Workmanship at it's finest. (As apposed to British union labour in the 70's/80's.) 12. Flybridge storage for plates and cups enabling easier service. 13. Great Option List For Only 2.5 Million Euros. 14. Cat Diesel Engines! 15. Nick is Six Foot Two ! !

Oddly, a similar price to the Princess F50 ($2.35 million only 3 months ago: 0QOLoRW4xkI). That doesn't seem right...
I'm guessing their planning the old game of putting the price up 40%, so people feel good when they haggle 20% off. SUCKERS!! 😅

Would love to see a slightly bigger version of this, say 75ish ft. The craftsmanship is wonderful and the bigger version would equate to slightly bigger cabins, full kitchen and a decent shower in the crewcabin. All to dream away for tonight lol...

Great video! Suggest you create a playlist of boats with fold-down decks. I love this innovation; shows great engineering and design... I'd also suggest featuring NautiStyles / NautiGuys on your channels for sharing. They just kicked off a multi-million dollar charter and yacht build series (with Bering) that complements your excellent finished product reviews.

Simply stunning boat. Fairline are back to their best, thank you for pointing out what are options i have noticed you appear to be doing it more on your tours now i don't know if it is deliberate but it is appreciated, who would have thought that on a vessel with a fly bridge designed for entertaining that a grill would be an optional extra ? also why have a utility room like the old design ( a brilliant feature on a boat designed to be used for extended periods) and then put the washing machine out side the owners cabin in a really awkward spot? That said if Fairline gifted me one I wouldn't say no lol.

Awesome. I especially like the ability to change your Refrigeration from freezer to regular refrigerator. Very insightful thinking as your Refrigeration needs will change as you use the boat differently. If you're going away for awhile you would probably want more Frozen. If you are having a sizable crowd for a day party you would want more regular Refrigeration. I'm not particular to high-gloss wood. Same wood but in a matte finish would be perfect for me. I don't think I would have thought to look under the seating for my Crockery. Other little innovative things like the small stool that is fix to the floor but hinged in the owner's cabin so it won't move around when you're traveling

Form follows Function - i.e. an airplane has wings in order to fly. Any attempt to ADD form to basic functions affords a "cluttered look". Fairline MELDS that rule into one - form and function must enhance the boat AND bring function to all features - such as a crew cabin fit for guests. One glides from space to space, items are where expected not "tucked away" like a prize in a treasure hunt - "I found the microwave just here under this cushion." Not like that. Fairline, floating works of art meant for pleasure - nothing more...
