- Galveston Island is filled with plenty of waterways that hold some very nice fish! Today was on fire! I was able to sight cast over 10 fish and got a limit. Our inshore saltwater fishery is finally showing signs of life.

Some nice catches Mark glad you found the area it is a gold mine. We also used to catch all of our bait in the same area, mud minnows and live shrimp.

i always stop before crossing the bridge right there. Its also a very good place to flounder gig on low tide calm nights, and amazing place for mud minnows with traps

Love the video! I’m thinking of getting me a kayak but not sure where to find the good areas to fish at. When I do get one I’m going to get the top of the line and get one that I don’t have to paddle all day long to get somewhere! Lol

Great day of fishing for a species on my bucket list. Being in Colorado we don't see many of those😜. I, as one who has never fished for them, ask why you don't blind cast. Or is it just that it is more fun to sight fish? We ( my son and I ) don't Kayak fish but do a lot of float tubing and I've always wondered if that would work down there. Again a great video, thanks.
I do a lot of blind casting when the water is stirred up and murky.

You may have videos in the past, archived in your channel, but would you consider doing some bass fishing? gar fishing? You may have addressed this in the past - sorry if this is a repetitive question.
I used to bass fish but the majority of my audience only watches saltwater videos. It's not cost effective to drive two hours or so for several hundred views. When given the opportunity I do try to fish for bass.
What fish finder do you have on your kayak? Looking to get one for my autopilot as well.

lots of places to put in! Plus also they have readily available maps online of specific kayak ramps versus regular boat ramps. And since it’s a kayak, lots of spots you can just pull over on the side of the road and put in too. But yah MDLR goes everywhere in Galveston and Freeport, so, there’s just too many to name. But again, fortunately, online boat ramp amd or kayak ramp maps!
