Kudos to the pocket knife makers. I never thought I would get around to trying this, but I did and it's fun. I put the holes too close to the edge of the side plates and ran out of wood. So I buried the holes in JB weld and I'm going to paint it black. The grips that is. I like a Sea axe type blade for general use. All in all it's fun . I learn it all here.
There's a art to building things. You seem to be a artist . I started making pocket knives, sliplocks last winter. Mine are a little crude compared to yours. I will improve. It's a process. You do excellent work.
Don't beat yourself up about it dude its way better than anything a lot of us could make 😂 practise makes perfect and your almost there . Its still a great knife 😁😁🤘🤘🤘
@@Inmyshed In my eys is your presentations nearly perfect. With this screws give you your own note, but funny, because this screws i take it for mechanics and ingeneering. Maybe crazy is not the right word. I love your Videos
Hehe thanks! Im glad to hear that! It motivates me to keep it up! Im finishing a slip joint knife to morrow. Then I just need to go trough all the footage and edit. I hope to relise it on sunday.
Hey, if you want i could give you a few tips. I also work on some folders and have done pretty extensive research. I like your design btw, don't want to bring your work down. I think its pretty nice how you finished all the components to a high grit and polished it. If i can give 1 tip its try having the lockbar lock a little less deep. Yours looks like 40%. This is fine but for heavy use it would wear out a fair bit quicker. I can recommend trying to get 20 to 30%. Furtherwise this looks very promising.
Thanks so much for the good feedback! You are the second person to point out the lock bar. I am working on a new liner lock now, I will try to make it lock at 20%. I find it some what hard to do, but Ill do my best!
@@Inmyshed Nice dude sounds good, just try to take it slow. Also you can use washer to put the detent ball to a certain depth. This way you don't push it in too little or deep.
Hi! thanks for the comment! First off the pivot action is not great. Second the "button" kind of hurt my finger when using it more then 10 times in a raw. Third you can see the hole for the detent ball in the blade. To name a few. I will be uploading my newest liner lock now, check that out. My newest knife is very evolved from this one. hehe.

Been looking for a way to cut slot’s without the right tools. Dremel cutting disk in the drill press. Genius.

Good ide! Thanks! How many % do you think the detent ball should protrude from the lock bar?
And do you have a youtube channel btw?
I get «cant find comment» on your latest comment
So, when are you making me that Katana I was always talking about? 😂😂
You know when. Think about it! 🤷🏼♂️😂
Nice job man!
Thank you!

I’d say it’s damn near perfect tbh
Thanks!

Why is it far from perfect? What kind of flaws does it have?
