- I feel like I took my knife making to another level with this one! This hand made liner lock is my 22th knife I have ever made. I tried out some new things. First off I tried making the blade to handle ratio as equal as I could. Second I bought some punch stamps. (I will be making some kind of jig for them in the future) and third I threw away the old 2x4 I used to drill on, and replaced it with 1-2-3 blocks. This made my drilling more accurate, even tough my drill press is utter garbage. (I am saving for a mill). I hope you enjoy!

Man!!! This is the knife i see in my head!! I love this shape! Easy to sharpen. A type of lock back might have been better for a stronger lock but this is as close to the knife i been looking for for 30 years now!

By far the best "handmade liner lock knife" i've seen so far. Really like the choice of desert ironwood with the brass bolsters. The lockup also seems to be great.

@@Inmyshed Well the actual feedback is I think you did an amazing job of communicating process rather than just showing process, and you created a rythm and an aestethic around it that is subtly engaging: I was kinda busy and had to get out of the house and get on with it when I watched the video, and somehow it kept exerting a pull in the opposite direction - and not for some end video cliffhanger but simply due to the moment to moment fascination ….

Ay this is amazing man! I'm used to watching all those big TH-camrs with their fancy tools and stuff, and I've got a pretty decent collection of tools myself, I've even got a huge workshop to call my own, but its all more wood working focused. And then theres this guy who's apparently got a couple of files, a belt sander, files, a drill press, files, a saw, an angle grinder, and heck- did I even mention a good set of files? This knife turned out beautifully! In the past couple of days I've been making a couple of knifes myself, incl. a back lock pocket knife, and I always thought this is gonna take ages to do without a metal band saw for instance, which is one of the many things I only own in their wood varient, and yeah it might take a while, but it doesnt get any simpler than this, and in the end it'll all be worth it if you can put it to use and be proud of what you made. I rarely write any comments, but I really have to thank you here. This is the first video of you I saw but I already know this is gonna be one of my favourite channels! Keep up the good work man!
