Cosworth: The Holy Grail of independent engine manufacturing. British engineering at its very best.
Understandably Dario didn't mention the link between the first 4 cylinder FVA (Four Valve A type) engine and the ubiquitous 8 cylinder DFV (Double Four Valve) engine. Cosworth basically took two FVAs and stuck them together to make the early DFVs. Same cylinder head.

That T.50 engine is pure art ..... The Gordon car numbers may be limited but I hope the Cosworth engine continues in many other forms.... and slightly more affordable format 👍😀

I have a camshaft from a Cosworth CA F1 engine. I won it on ebay for £9.99. It's diamond like coated (DLC) and its a work of art! Essentially a tube.

So by that fan i think that Mr.Murray tries to increase the corner speed of the car because the main problem is to increase the corner speed. BEcause of the lower speeds in the corner and the different non frontal direction of the air it can't give the force to the wings and by that to increase the traction and to increase the speed inside the corner but by that fan we can compensate the innefective airflow inside the corner and that it will be useful mostly on tracks with more corners and can compensate a small power difference in two cars for exemple. If the track is Paul Ricard the engine plays a huge role because of the straights but on the track with more corners by increasing the downforce we can compensate the engine power in some range.

If I may interject, to say the DFV set the groundwork for modern 4 valve heads is a bit much. The DFV raised the benchmark, but it was one set far before the DFV development. Peugeot, Bugatti, & Duesenberg, are some of the engines that come to mind for laying down the cornerstones of 4 valve engines.
That being said, Cosworth & thier DFV engines do truly deserve every bit of accolades they have garnered over the years. They have been revolutionary

Mark my words; I am not a UK citizen, but people with deep pockets in UK and then rest of the world you better empty your coffers and get every T50 and T50s on the road. Time will come when engine noise will become a luxury and only a few will have the best of it. They will be the owners of these masterpieces.

That's the whole point of the car. Pure simple design aesthetic. No need for silly cuts, gaps, slashes in the body work. Gordon can get the air to work for him without doing all the nonsense that other manufacturers rely upon and just makes all the other cars look alike and rather ugly.
