Ade, the BSA A10 rebuild brought me to your channel, but I do like all of your great content. I have a BSA A10 engine that I am rebuilding and it will go into a 1957 Fairthorpe Atomota. I am also "engineering" the mating of the BSA engine to a Standard Ten gearbox.
So you've set me off researching the Fairthorpe Atomota, I'd never heard of one, most interesting, it would be great if you would post a video of some of your work? Thanks for watching and commenting and showing another use of BSA engines which would be lost in history, brilliant 👍🏼. Where about are you based?
@@AGEngineering I am in Southern California. I will see what I can do about posting a video as I do have a GoPro. To my knowledge, my Atomota is the only one left in the world.
Hi ade i just dropped on to you from Dean at retromeccanica, i have sub'd you etc, and will take a look at what you get up to. this video takes me back to a few of my bsa rebuilds super rocket, shooting star etc. I fell in to youtube by accident when i rewound my lucas magneto on my Myford lathe, the video quality of my early days is ropey as it was never intended to be seen, just did it to show a friend. i will work my way through your video's as time permits Ade. cheers Kev
That was really great Ade. I was in Dean's (Retromeccanica's) workshop at the weekend. We had a great time, and we discussed how best to repair his particular elephant. I am looking forward to you brazing up the spigot. Truly impressive and inspiring work, loved the repair of the cam folowers too, and subsequent testing.
Great video Ade, I enjoyed watching. I'm glad the BSA project is moving forward, it will be interesting to see you tackle the 'elephant' that is the cracked spigot! Best wishes, Dean.
I was wondering that as well. I have the 1950~52 manual somewhere safe with various service data plus service data for various other early 50's BSA models
Hi there Ade, new subscriber here, .. freind of mine near Chester, has an 850 Norton commando. Needs a rebore, but it's already @ maximum +0.60" oversize. Can anything be done? Thank you. Tony
Hope you finish off the bush to bearing project ! Good luck 🙂
I'm back on it for a bit so at least it's going in the right direction, thanks for watching

Wow great vid Ade, reminds me of so many sheds arguing with mates how to rebuild engines, I wish you were there all those years ago
Great to stir memories 👍🏼

Looking like barrel spigot will be next on the agenda 😁
@@AGEngineering Great stuff, look forward to it.

The spigot will be interesting to say the least, I've got my fingers crossed
@@AGEngineering I'm sure you will sort it Ade. The fins keep giving me funny looks every time I walk past them. They are trying to intimidate me.
Maybe you could bore it and install a liner
I liked Helsinki 😉
@@AGEngineeringtoo cold to weld up those particular Finns!
As usual, great content Ade, good to have you back on a regular basis.
Many thanks for continuing to support and follow
Yaaaay, the A10 returns!! Nice one Ade.
I'm slowly slowly going in the right direction..
Thanks for posting another informative video 👍
Many thanks for watching and commenting
How do you plan on repairing the spigot? Thanks for the vids - very interesting.
I have a plan, not sure if it will work so fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Hi Ade, great channel. Did those big end journals get raised as per the BSA service sheet?
Great question, I'll cover a bit on radiuses when we get to build the crank up👍🏼
I was wondering that as well.

Plus 80 were available, I don't know if they still are?
