    Here's a video I shot lately in which I share with you my top tips and tricks for getting nice camera shots from behind the wheel of a car and also outside the car. I do use one or two gadgets but as you'll see in the video, some of my best shots are just done with the tripod. iFootage sent me their car mount which is featured in the video. As you'll see, it's a great piece of kit but it's not as smooth as the tripod as the tripod absorbs more bumps and shakes. I will however get better shots with it in due course when I add another level of shock absorption either via a gimbal or z-axis of some sort. If you like the video please give it a thumbs up and feel free to leave a comment down below with any questions you may have. H

    Excellent video. Fantastic information. I mount a GoPro on the dead center front portion of the hood of my car all the time to record videos. I have been shooting 4K lately 60p. I’m going to try that back seat tripod setup with my full frame camera. Thank you for this.

    Hi! Amazing video!
    I live in Ireland as well and am trying to stream road trips. I did a trip from Mayo to Cliffs of Moher today but I noticed the video is very shaky.
    I use an iPhone Xs and cant really afford to be spending hundreds. Any tips on equipment thats just for a phone to take away that shakiness?

    There's a few roads around my area that I wanted to record driving on, and this gave me a few ideas.
    Also I was wondering with the tripod method if you ever tried using a bungee cord for extra stabilization?

    • @HuFilms

      Thanks. Yeah, there's extra levels of vibration absorption that probably could be achieved. It's kinda down to the camera too. I may do another video about this stuff and look into that.

    I wouldn't use an ND for an action camera that relies on fast shutter to achieve stabilization. Instead use software like RealSmart Motion Blur which blurs by pixel vectors and add it in post. Don't bother using frame blending its crap.

    • @HuFilms
      @HuFilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're 100% right regarding the stabilisation but losing natural motion blur of the side road whizzing past is a pity.
