Reborn on the 4th of July! Great job on this guys. It's very rewarding when they come to life again after laying dormant for decades. Can't wait to see more.
I thought it was so cool that I got Her running on the 4th, INDEPENDENCE DAY 2017!! Oh yeah it really is rewarding, what a great feeling when they take that first breath of life in decades! Thanks for watching Bud!! : )
Ah, music to my ears!! I love the sound of these things. I've got to work on some of my engines this winter. Hey, If you're looking for work next spring, I could use someone like you on the farm. I love your enthusiasm and positive attitude. Plus, you could mess around with all my old junk in your free time! My daughter got married last month, so unfortunately you're no longer son-in-law material...oh well.
Yeah it's the best music ever! I will literally fall asleep to the sound of these engines! I would love to work with you, it sounds pretty good, but I am sure distance will play a factor in us getting together about it! My enthusiasm and positive attitude is just my way of showing how much I love these engines, if you can't tell I LOVE them!! Ha, I would sounds fun to work on your Old Iron! What, no longer son-in-law material, noooo! : ) Thanks for watching again Bud!! : )
Great job, I am proud of you!!! We are going to have to change the name from Hit and Miss fits to Throttle Governor Nuts!! I say it again, them engines are very forgiving and you can get by with a lot when it comes to wear and such.
Thanks so much Jonathan!! Ha Ha, "Throttle Governor Nuts" that's great!! Yeah it's absolutely amazing what these engines can go through and still run no different than when they came out of the factory, now THAT is saying something!! Thanks again for stopping by Jonathan!! : )
Thank you for putting a smile on my face! When that baby fired up, I threw my hands up and yelled "Yes". Your excitement was contagious... "HEY! It's ALIVE!". I love watching stuff work out for you. Your hard work and skills have brought this fine piece of history back to life. As I mentioned earlier, this was the first project that we tubers got to see from start to glorious finish. It made your success all the more enjoyable. It seems that once you got the mixer valve into the right setting, it fired right up. Bravo!! Ya just cant keep a good hit and miss down. Especially when it is in the capable and dedicated hands of someone who is passionate about them. You should be damn proud of yourself. Its all the more amazing that you got it started, while your neighbors were firing off artillery!!! Holy Crap! Even though this took place several months ago, I am sure you are still pleased with the results, and are already on to new projects.
Oh Brian, your comments are always hard to top!! Ha I am glad you were joining in on the excitement Brian!! I am happy that you enjoyed the project, it makes it even more worth wile!! Hey thanks for having confidence in me, and yes it is hard to keep these tough engines down! Well I am proud of the outcome anyway, sometimes I am not so darn proud of myself!! Yeah my neighbors fire off artillery all the time, it's normal!! I am very happy with how she is been running, and what a great feeling when these engines breathe life once again for the first time in decades, there really is nothing like it!! Anyway, thanks again for another great comment, and of coarse, thanks for watching again Brian, it's always a pleasure!! : )
Be very proud young man....that's a great achievement. Later you will get a 'feel' of when nuts and bolts are tight. Torque setting are only for new ones. Your enthusiasm is infectious :)
Yeah I am VERY happy with the way She turned out, a great runner for sure, and not to mention, after running it much more than you saw, the compression built up a lot more than I thought it was going to!! Thanks for watching Bud!! : )
Thanks Bennie G!! Nah, all you have to do is throw the Wico EK mag on the engine with 2 bolts, and your ready to go! But just to make sure every thing will be good, before I start anything I always look at the crank throw and see that the timing is correct. I was actually feeding the engine with MUCH more oil that the oilier could provide, to help gently break the piston rings to the freshly honed cylinder, plus I didn't quite trust the oilier yet. But now the oilier is on and working great! Thanks for watching again Bud!! : )
I was a bit surprised of how easy She starts, and the fact that it needs no choke when running! Yeah there are some perks of having a Wico mag. Thanks for watching Bob!! : )

very nice job.
Great job! Was it hard to set the timing? Thanks for posting. Oh, put in that oiler, I'd hate for that baby to seize up.
Thanks Bennie G!! Nah, all you have to do is throw the Wico EK mag on the engine with 2 bolts, and your ready to go! Thanks Bud, that means a lot!! : )
Wish mine started like that mine has a crank and ya got to crank her fast in order to get her going probably because of the low tension mag
I was a bit surprised of how easy She starts, and the fact that it needs no choke when running! Yeah there are some perks of having a Wico mag. Thanks for watching Bob!! : )
