"art is useless"
>consume movies, tv shows; video games, litteraly anything else that require art
fr 😂😂 goons
Those that say that are uncultured because in a way, technology like the devices we use and buildings are pieces of art in a way, so it’s like saying laptops and buildings and clothing are useless
product designs are also art! So yeah, even buying your fav cereals is consuming art. Drinking out of a cup is consuming art.
We're so used and spoiled to art that we can't appreciate it the tiniest piece of it anymore
I mean, you dont need art to live. But it raises the quality of living
I dont think we can explain those people that "art" has a wider meaning than they think it is.
I gotta say I'm sick of the sexual content everywhere and anywhere, the world is become more like cyberpunk each day
For real, people always have to put sexual content everywhere and anywhere and it's making me crazy.
you and me both brotha, I try to ignore but it's literally impossible. People will sexualize anything, and I mean ANYTHING.
@@youtube-headquarterswhen you say people you mean women, women will sexualise anything, look what happened to twitch, its full of unconvicted female sex offenders and everyones fine with it
@@youtube-headquarters The “brotha” part threw me off a little and then I looked at your profile. I genuinely don’t know what’s wrong with you, but you’re somehow worse than these artists using art in their videos to promote sexual content.
Look, I’m all for sexual liberation and people being more confident in themselves with who they’re attracted to and talking about sex. I’m all for normalizing the act of being able to discuss having sex with other adults without feeling like you should be ashamed or be made to feel like you’ve sinned in the eyes of someone’s God for being confident in something everyone does to continue bringing life into this world …
… BUT …
… there is a time and place for things, and society has blurred that line intentionally to make everything be about it in some way or another. It has seeped into everything.
It’s bad enough that pr0n addiction is at its highest it’s ever been and has warped peoples’ minds on how encounters should be, feeding into the loneliness epidemic and straining relationships severely. It’s enough that fetishes are pushed out so openly onto everyone to where some think it’s just a quirky trait to randomly tell people about and brag about having.
… but it has become so prevalent that young males and females even feel like they _have_ to be overly sexual with their appearances to get any sort of positive attention and traction online.
They see the adults do it and get attention, so of course they’re going to emulate that to get the same attention to have any sort of online traction. Even with their own hobbies like we see in this video. They take something they enjoy doing in their spare time and feel they can’t just put it online and let their hobby speak for itself, no. They know that if they insert themselves into things and they display themselves as being sexual, then they can get way more attention … but it ultimately comes at a cost. It becomes less and less about their hobbies and more and more about their bodies, and it’s all people will end up seeing them for … an object to admire instead of the object they’re actually trying to show to have people admire.
I get it, the old “sex sells” saying definitely rings true and we’ve come a long way from the 40s and 50s, but the way we have sped right past basic liberation and gone straight to being sex-obsessed and overly sexual is really disheartening to see when it’s also affecting so many young people in the process into believing that this is what they have to do to be seen. Enough to where anyone that gives any push back and questions whether we should dial it down a bit as a society is seen as being just a “prude” or something. It’s just really sad to see because it really doesn’t have to be like this at all.
This is why we should strive to be like those mysterious japanese artists with goofy pfps and no captions on their posts

Tiktok art community is really a disappointment, like it's somehow become more toxic than Twitter. Why can't artists just support each other??? Especially young and new artists.

It’s creepy that TikTok is becoming more toxic than twitter, especially with the fact that most artists start their social media art journey from there.
The old man art actually very beautiful

3:14 W old man
Seeing him and his art made me happy. Sweet old man.
That guys Tik Tok is hilarious.
Yeah that old man is dope he is from Sweden ;)
Honestly, I don’t wanna be mean, but this trend is super annoying, mostly because it’s always accompanied by “please stop scrolling” and “ I know I’m just a small artist” or something that makes them sound like an underdog with big dreams, like bro!!! I know what you’re up to!!!
I mean, if it works, but I’m tired of seeing these all over my feed😭
lmaooooo i know what you mean hahaa it's literally all over my timeline and in as much as i have no problem with it, it's kinda funny seeing people's reaction to all the antics
They're not trying to show off the art either. Their body is the thing they are advertising. I can understand why people are bothered by it. If they wants to sell art then sell art. If they want to sell their body then sell their body. But people shouldn't complain when they are getting the kind of responses the artist is getting when that's what the video is designed to attract.
I do want to be mean. I'm sick of these "small artists" acting like they deserve fame and fortune when literally every artist who isn't Banksy (or dead) is a small artist. It's like saying "hey guys! I deserve attention but like.. not the rest of y'all. follow for more!" and then their art is nothing special whatsoever
Not saying small artists don't deserve to have a career. I do absolutely believe every artist should have equal opportunities to make a living off of their art. But oh my god if I see one more "please stop scrolling!" I'm going to start blocking mfs
They all screams "please pity me and give me likes and follow, if you don't do it you're a horrible person"
I fucking hate artists who did this. Like, if I'm interested in your works I'll look through your account and support you but don't gaslight me just because you were 'asking nicely'. It's even worse when the artwork they tried to promote is so badly done as if they didn't put effort into it and just rely purely on people's pitiness. Or in some cases, like in the video, they tried to be a discount walmart OF model while showing their work split second before the video ends to gain engagement from losers drooling over their body through thirsty comments. At that point they might as well do OF instead of art because they clearly tried to promote their sexy body more than their 'art'

Gyatt is the worst word I have ever seen in my live. It reminds me of 12-15 year old teenage boys saying it. It's VERY weird to see grown people say that word unironically
It's such an irritating word!
Yep! I don’t think I’ve ever said it, it sounds stupid.
hey! just saying it originated as aave (african american vernacular english) and was used as “gyatt damn” or goddamn.
I feel like all modern slang (from 2020 onwards) is just absolute brain rot😭I literally cannot process any of it.. am I turning old or something LOL
I still don't know what it means lol
I think there’s a grey area in this topic but I feel like when you start sexualizing yourself as part of what you create (for likes and views) it can feeds into that toxic art narrative that women should be best portrayed as such like in anime, illustrations etc. And in a field where it’s very much still male dominated, not every woman wants to be seen that way.
I 100% don’t like it either for all the reasons you say but I also gotta respect the hustle because it’s not her that’s the problem, it’s the men that would view every femme person and woman the same way.
@@DancinglemonWhilst I semi agree and am glad that she’s found something that works for her to sell her art, she is partially the problem. Is she the sole problem? Nah, definitely not, but she does feed into this male gaze problem and “sex sells” idea. Without a seller, there wouldn’t be customers, and without customers there wouldn’t be a seller, if that makes sense. Its like a loop, one cannot exist without the other. I don’t blame her necessarily for doing this, because hey it seemingly works, but it again does feed into this male gaze area and it can pressure other women to feel like they have to hyper sexualize themselves in order to be taken seriously in any community.
But what’s new under the sun right? Mae West, Marilyn Monroe, Jessica Rabbit, all the way up to now. All I can say is I’m glad their at least adult women CHOOSING to sexualize themselves, I know some “entertainments” let/make minors do that and its so disgusting..
Look at my art but first my butt
@@baobinq see there is a different standing with art and how its done and advertised/sold this advertising should not be in the "open" art community but the art it's self can be sold there
@@DancinglemonI agree with this fully as well lol
It’s crazy how people undervalue art. Someone asked my cost for a realistic oil portrait at 2x3 feet and was shocked I said $1000. Dude I work 3 jobs and would be losing money.
exactly, commissions already, and often times commissioners think artists not as people, but vending machines (instant and cheap)

@@user-ui5iz4ub9mwhat about butchers, people who work for the sewers, or the farmers? they're underpaid, but they're one of the backbones of society, while artists just draw things and make reels or whatever.
@@ConflictingJumpsYep! And a lot of artists have the habit of selling themselves short as well.
Im sorry but as an artist myself, thats overkill
If sexualizing yourself to draw attention to your art is only drawing dudes that look at your a55 and don't care about your art....why do it? It ain't working unless you gave an onlyfans.
Fr, it's really sad and if I were in her place, I would lose all my passion for art and just give up or leave the internet forever.
Some people are comfortable with doing both. Nothin wrong with it, it definitely is weird but if it works then it works
Bc it pays for things. Not to sound materialistic or whateva, but the bills aren't gonna paid themselves. Some ppl are chill with others not viewing or interpreting their art in a meaningful way. Artists already have it hard getting ppls attention, and even having them purchase their work. So if it works, it works 🤷♂️

Whenever I see someone saying that art is useless I wonder if they remember that cover of books, packaging of everyday products and even buildings are also done by artists just a different kind. People always praise amazing packaging when they can buy a milk carton with a silly cow drawn on it but that was done by an artist, if there were no artists all products would be just white slabs of cardboard because even typography is a form of art
even MUSIC. bangers from artists like Melanie Martinez, The Living Tombstone, paranoid DJ, Billie Eilish, they all wouldn't exist if there were no artists because music is again another form of art
@@noonthetroublemaker The world would be so dull without art. Its amazing how so many people tend to regard art as useless and then use a ton of things that have some for of that "useless art" and if they were to not have it they would protest
@@KuroNoUsagi i agree with you 100% like seriously man do these people have ANY braincells left because I feel like this should be common sense 😭☠

I mean they ARE desentizing little children to $ex, which i don't think we should do.
I'm not one of those lunatics that thinks that women needs to cover up and have 110%
modesty in mind at all times but there HAS to be some kinda middle ground, imo...
If i had a daughter i would not want her to go on TikTok and get bombarded with the
notion that she can just remove her clothes and get whatever she wants by grown men...
A little humble portion of modesty goes a long way...
Especially in these days where $ex is everywhere :/...
I agree, the oversexualization isn't nice to see when you're randomly scrolling on tiktok for art. It's jarring to randomly see someone showing off their body next to their artwork. Like, that isn't what most of us want to see when we're looking for art online. She should seperate her thrist trapping from her art because her art clearly isn't being recognized by the majority of her audience. I feel like if she had an onlyfans aside from her art tiktok, she'd be able to have both the horny audience and the art lovers and not have them mixed together in a mess of tiktok views.

Nope, art is enrichment. It adds to the environment you live, to the entertainment you seek, to the food you eat.
Presentation is as important as taste and smell, and having a special significance embedded to it just makes it feel special, and that is all art is about.
Honestly, i hate what tiktok has done to art. Videos ruined paintings. Now artists have to become some cringy promoters to get seen. Imagine if Loish had to do this... Or how all the personalitits ruined some artists. Why draw, when you can actually make a living from photographing your a55? And it's not just art. It's musicians
Theres an entire video about how some of the most famous musicians sell their sex appeal and not their music, and that person spoke about it dating back to the early 2000’s with Britney Spears and how it has set a standard for up and coming female artists.
Yeah, I also hate how we can't clearly see the beautiful paintings through tiktok videos. They're just so short and compressed, it distorts the beauty of the original painting. And of course, there's too much pressure put on artists that have to market their stuff using whatever's popular on tiktok, which changes VERY quickly. It's not an ideal place for art.
I've been following Loish for years, since her deviantArt days, and wow, I followed her because I liked her art! She's come so freaking far.

Aka it's not bad because Tiktok is good, Tiktok is just the toxicity containment breach and we're gonna be in for a doozy if the community has to move here.
I'm going to be honest I was a underrated tiktok artist, and I had decent views. But I noticed a trend that other women artist were doing for likes in views. I didn't do any of the things they did and yet my views become low. Why is that these women over sexualized themselves for attention.
I'm glad I'm over tiktok and I'm glad that it will be ban soon.
There's no way I would've continued drawing if the art community was the way it is today. It's sad to think about because there's probably dozens of ppl who have the potential but won't discover it because of social media like Tiktok/Twitter 😐
Whelp, not that I'd know, but hopefully it's just another good reminder that the internet is not the whole world, and the internet of the 90s and early 2000s, whilst full of very smart hobbyists and tech pioneers, and was infinitely superior to the 3 or 4 websites max we use today... It was also a lot smaller.
Now you have the opposite, the internet is a lot larger and your influence is far wider, you could easily make bank with a relatively "small" audience of 50,000 views per video, but the whole thing is far more homogenised and now accessible to people who are essentially illiterate, the literal dregs of society 🤷 could always get inspired out in the city or some county art contest I guess.

I know nobody here needs to hear this, but reading the comments in response to this was genuinely frustrating, so I'm more leaving this here for myself. It's sad that some people only see reslism as "real art" (it is a very respectable snd valid form of art, but there is much more than that).
I think this is a good painting. The checkerboard background created an "optical illusion" effect that makes this piece very interesting to look at, as well as being a good contrast to the colored items in the foreground. The bright warm colors on the flower and its respective pot gives it power as the focal point, but the arranged items next to it do a good job of distributing the visual weight, especially the second largest item on the table being that deep blue color.
She did wonderful and I hope the comments don't demotivate her from making more artworks in the future.
There's a lot of different art styles and not everyone is attracted to the same things. As someone personally particular of drawing skills, her table perspective bothers me a bit and the composition doesn't flow. But I still really hope it sold well and it's hung proudly by the owner.

Usually, the people who are the most opinionated and critical about art are the ones who never create it. Best thing about art is that it's all in the eye of the beholder. When looking at one piece, there are going to be people who hate it, people who love it and people who are indifferent. There is no singular idea of art, like beauty, it's all about what appeals to individuals - both the creator and viewer. Art has absolutely no rules though many try to gatekeep and shit on artists. Making a living on art was very difficult before the internet (specifically things like Etsy) and now it's flourishing, and I love that for artists and art lovers who can more easily find what appeals to them rather than what some critic or company or gallery says.
I think people know what they’re doing. No one is “innocent “ in these scenarios.

Well who are you gonna tell it to? It's like complaining about mukbang TH-camrs to a group of friends where every 1 in 3 people is obese :p oh yeah? Promoting your art by selling your body like a cheap costume is tasteless and unappealing? That's wild bro (watches porn in background whilst talking to you on facecam)
It doesn't matter what you think of it, people want it, so it sells :p I hate sex crazed perverts more than most do, but they're there, and they're free money
Defending it isn't really bad though. I mean... It depends on how you defend it. Denying it or trying to turn it around on the creeps is gross.
But if you're just like "Hey, a girl gotta eat." I think that's fine.
I remember that the famed octomom with 9 kids ended up doing a small porn shoot, I remember people asking how their kids must sleep at night
I dunno... In a house? With food in their bellies?
@MsLilly200 Well, yes that's fair. Though for me personally, while I'm not going to ask another person to live by my standards, I won't defend it.
Selling with sex is sexist and exploitive
The art community seems so like toxic wtf I wanted to get into it because I’m writing a webtoon and want to learn to draw but what are these trends and people constantly judging or one upping each other it’s honestly sad to see.
There are many more communities than just TikTok and other online places, all with people to learn from who will uplift you because they want to see you have fun with art :) don’t be discouraged!
@@sethjacksonanimation8407 your so right thank you!
Its mostly just younger artists in the community. Ignore them
Yeah there's this woman he's really tall and has really long pretty legs and all she does is put a giant canvas on the floor and she dips a mop in a bucket of paint and swirls out onto the canvas. And then she holds up her paintings in stands next to them wearing short shorts in sells them for thousands of dollars. As somebody who can't use the short shorts angle who is also spent 20 years hammering away at Art fundamentals I find it frustrating
I hated that trend since it started. It feels like a waste of time. I immediately skip the moment I see that kind of ‘art reveal’ videos,
13:50
W... What ? How stupid people can get?
Art is anything but useless. It's literally food for the soul.
if art is useless, then what is drawing, painting, 3d modeling, animation, FUCKIGN LOGOS TOO?!
Personally, I think the people being h0rny in her comments aren't buying her art (but would rather her OF) but the virality from that engagement extended her reach to people who actually like her art and bought it. Thus, it's a successful marketing tactic but has it cons as well.
this is why i dont really post pictures of myself often anymore because i got a small sense of people only "caring" about my art because of how i look in the past. it just made me feel like people werent taking my art seriously & that many of my followers were just there to look at me, not my art. kinda true honestly because hardly anyone paid for my art then. if you need to sell your art for a living, having tons of followers only following you for your looks (who never buy the art) is a little pointless outside of an ego boost
our art father has made a new art piece ❤❤❤ love you
hahaaha bless you bless you
@@MohammedAgbadi bro bless you my man 🙏
prob just me, but I thought at first the "art father" was a odin ref. (allfather)
@@ConflictingJumps what's that?
The art community, i love to draw but I'm so scared to post anything. Because everyone is so judgemental and trying to hate everything. My sister just started drawing at 14. She posted it and everyone hated it. She never drawed ever again.
honestly, don’t let a nobody be the judge of you and tell ya that your art sucks, it’s best to block them or something.
I want to make a comicwith mine and my friends characters but worried about fans being toxic
I even got mean comments as well bunch of pricks😀
just don’t listen to the haters because they’re just a bunch of brainrot kids or chronically online people and don’t let random people tell you its bad art or its ugly, all art is beautiful because its all unique and even if you think you suck cuz yeah all artists usually suck at first like me and i’ve been drawing for 13 years now but its just like learning an instrument once you get more practice you’ll become better day by day start a channel or a tiktok account if you want to, don’t listen to haters because we all know that they don’t even know how hard it is to actually make something with their own two hands because theyre too busy thinking theyre better than everyone by being bullies online like some immature child who needs to touch some grass for once in their lives 💀💀
anyway if you get to scared to post your drawings or whatever just do it when you think a good time to post and there are other beginner artists to support you on your journey
(sorry if that’s long i’m just trying to say do it if you want to and don’t listen to bullies and this goes for anyone who reads this comment because you got this!!)
Tbh I think all the artwork shown in these videos looked beautiful! I wish people would be more respectful to artists.💚
I really love your outfit in this one, it’s giving off vibes like you’ll be giving a calming and relaxing painting lesson.
Also you should totally do gyatt Muhammed videos.
i felt offended at that blank space. attention span so cooked
😭😭😭😭 the video didn't play so i'm cutting it out now!
but attention span cooked fr
It’s ridiculous and disrespectful !!!!! Really.
😭😭😭😭😭 someone said we wonder what's underneath
@@MohammedAgbadi....the internet gets crazier everyday
Bro they just exposing themselves, sometimes I wish ppl on tic tok would take a break. If I have to hear someone say “skibbidi rizz” one more time it’s I will die
Dang I'm early for once-
Uh oh tiktok- you know there's something deadly wrong when "tiktok" is in the title
what's good gang!!
Whatzaupppppp😀
Damn. I guess if i wanted more commissions i shouldve been posting my art turned around with my assets in full view 😂
I mean the art is good, it’s inspiring to see and I genuinely don’t think that some of them want to annoy the community with showing off their stuff. BUT, why do women have the still the need to show themselves in a particular way, like… the thirsty guys and gals won’t buy your art at this point, they will focus on something else instead 😂
What a world we live in… people like me who are too afraid to show their art to others and then there’s this🤷🏻♀️ at least I’m happy with my art and won’t stop drawing ✌🏻
Well, think about it this way: women have always been sexualized a lot in society just by wearing clothes that are form fitting, even if they over most of their body.
It’s more or less a “we can never win” and using the system to your advantage. Either way, I don’t show my art lots, but good luck on your journey!
I don’t see the point in disrespecting what an artist does to gain engagement. I’ve seen worse on the baking side of TikTok with those baker dudes that make everything way too sexual lmao.
So imo… it’s not just a
“Why do women like doing this”
I have stories about how I would get dress coded for crop tops in hs cus I have a bigger chest, but if a smaller girl would wear a crop top, she wouldn’t get dress coded.
Some ppl need to learn that bigger assets don’t equal ppl wanting to be sexualized😑
@@Suited_Nat sure everybody should dress the way they want and yes, women have always been sexualized if they look good. Maybe I’m too ugly to do this idk 😂 but it’s just the way they know this and use it to get attention. It’s just not my personal preference on wanting to show and sell my art, but if it works for them🤷🏻♀️
I haven’t seen those baker dudes, since I’m not on TikTok 😂👍🏻 left there early thankfully. All in all, I didn’t wanted to sound rude, it’s just sad to see how women back then were fighting for our rights and wanted respect, and now it’s come down to this where girls not only sell their art, but themselves too.😔
@@Suited_Natsure but why give them what they want? And if you dress half naked you will get sexualized way much worse.
@@Suited_Nat Doesn't matter that it has always been this way, it has to change, and we start by not entertaining men and giving them what they want.
And it doesn't seem to work for her though, the men are after her body not her paintings. Maybe if the paintings were erotic then they would buy...
So Tiktok hates pretty art, sketches, shading, originality, and now "ugly" art? Is there any art that Tiktok DOES like?
...Oh right, they probably watch steven universe 🤣
Whats wrong with steven universe
@@CoolBoy-bh4gf No art at all.

That comment about Onlyfans is disgusting. People see face ore some body part of someone on the internet and emedietly whants an Onlyfans. That is beyond disgusting. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
There's some teue, but also, it's the main problem in people who scream only fans with their provocative looks
It's true, but the main problem are people who dress provocatively and you know they have that .... account. I cannot write OF, because TH-cam deleted comments. North Korea

First cooking now art 😒😒. I hate these certain kind of woman that hypersxliz themselves just to do art reveals like I really do.
Fr I wish woman would stop sexualizing themselves 🤦♀️ as a woman I hate it we should be seen for our minds ( and yes i would say the same for men but I care more abt woman because I am one)
13:57 i had a toxic best friend, we were friends from elementary. she always told me art is a waste of time and that its useless. i told her "well then sports useless too, it just wastes your time." "but its for fun!" she told me, like art wasnt for fun? i told her what i think and we were never besties again. were friends now only and she finally understands what respecting others, even if just their hobbies is.
You're so well spoken with your commentary and funny as hell and you have 524k subs?? How have I not heard of you I'm subscribing right now
Art is useless, dude should reevaluate his life and realize the laptop he used to type that shit was designed by an artist. Art is used by architects and shape societies ways of thinking and so much more. Guy is useless for thinking that.
This isn't new. They did this with Instagram, Twitch, etc.
This is why I love your channel man
This kind of stuff really does take away from the art. It’s sad.
Tiktok art community try not to be toxic over something that doesn’t even matter challenge (impossible)
man I hate people glorifying sexual topics and private parts like butts to promote their art or product. I’ve seen it in some drop shipping ads and even a small hint or innuendo of them is disgusting. like saying things like “I wasn’t using this for its intended purpose 😏💦” for a product that’s not even used for that or anything that hints at that just makes me burn with rage. why do you think sex would get everyone to buy your product? people are dirty minded these days.
Yeah, and honestly that kind of promotion makes me less likely to want to buy the product. Like, if I wanna buy some comfortable clothing but then see some sexualized woman or man just going "oh you can wear this to look SEXY and have SEXY TIME" I would just immediately burn the clothing, it's so uncomfortable to see.
Thank you for having subtitles! The ones on TH-cam usually are done automatically and make no sense. But thank you for typing them yourself!
I'm not bothered by the guy who feels like art is useless. Just imagine how awful life must be if you're so closed off and judgment. Can he not appreciate one of the joys of humanity? I pity them. It must be hard living life when you can't appreciate art
art is useless
if it wasn't for art stuff like architecture wouldn't exist heck wasn't an artist the one who dedicated his whole life to study the human body? Leonardo da Vinci so yeah stuff like medicine wouldn't exist as well
The concept of "art" doesn't really make sense tbh
Every time I watch a video about tiktok drama I'm even more grateful I never signed up.
