- In this video we unbox and review the newest release from MJX Hyper Go. The H16PL Mini Buggy basher. I test the speed, toughness, and agility of the new 16th scale mini basher. Then go over the pros and cons in detail.
Brushless: Hobby 2845 4200KV, 4 pole high-torque motor with metal heatsink and cooling fans design. Independent receiver and 45A ESC make this car more potential and upgradeable. 2S 7.4V 2000 mAh rechargeable battery and brushless motor bursts out at 25+ mph (40 kph) for adults. (speed measured by GPS)
Built for the Track: The front short and rear long oil-filled shock settings better reduce drag in off-road races, and the downforce of the rear wing during the process of rapid power acceleration, and the long suspension at the rear end can better support the vehicle to maintain balance. At the same time, when jumping off-road, the long rear shock ensures that the chassis will not hit the ground.
Off-road: 2 sets of different terrain tires for bashers, the wider tires have more grip on snow, grass and sand. The narrow tires, improve handling over race tracks, trails, muddy courses, skate parks and more.
Durable: The high-strength composite honeycomb chassis is integrated with all-metal CVD to provide maximum rigidity. On top of that, metal spur and differential with 16 metal bearings make this car power smoothly.
Perfectly Compatible: Independent smart 2S/3S 45A ESC support the 3S-capable power system, super fast 38+ mph (62 kph) speeds achievable in optimum conditions using a 3S Angry Snail LiPo battery. (3S 11.1V Angry Snail LiPo battery and more upgrade accessories available on Amazon)
Transmitter: 120+ FT 2.4GHz 3-Channel Radio. New bashers will be able to set throttle limits at 70% until they are ready to use the full speed potential.

Your bench looks so clean. What do you have down? Something easily (and cheaply) replaceable?
That's material from my work. I am a CNC programmer and tool & die maker. They grey material is cut proof, antistick conveyor belt. Sitting on top of a half-inch silicone material. I literally have so many projects going on I bought 20+ storage containers and marked them with the rig name. I'm 5 projects behind.
Dang it I was hoping to copy you. I don’t have any conveyor belts laying around though lol. Nice review! I don’t have any 12/16th rigs. These Hyper Go units seem to be where it’s at. Maybe my next RC!

My 16207 is on the way, so I am just curious what the major differences are between the H16PL and the 16207, except all the extras?
The battery tray. The 16207 has a clip designed for their battery. The H16PL has velcro straps for different sizes batteries.
I bought that exact one, not too bad really. Likes to roll over real quik on bumpy ground, other than that its held up so far lol
You can widen the stance to make it more stable. Fun little buggy.
Can you recommend a 3s battery and compatible charger? New to this… just picked one up for my son for Christmas.

Can you please reply to me if 14210 that I just bought from Aliexpress have a function to ''SHUTT OFF'' the RC Car/battery while in the use, before it reaches the battery's lowest allowed voltage, which is 6,8 V for S2 and 10,2 for S3 to prevent LiPo battery from Dead-Drain ? ( Same question for the WLtoys 124017 if you happen to know ? ) THANKS !!!
Yes, they all come with low voltage shit off. Your batteries will be safe.

nice review, I got it after your review, just cant figure out.. It says Li-io battery on the amazon site, but on the back of the batterie you can read charge only on LIPO mode. On the battery itself isnt a LIPO text in the name. I have a dedicated charger with the option Lipo 7.4V 2A and Lilo 7.2v. Which one is the right option? Thank you
If it says lipo, then it's definitely a lipo. You can charge a li-io on the lipo serting, and it won't hurt it. So better to error on the side of caution. Li-io are round like a AA battery. Lipos are flat and rectangular. Hope this helps.

No, not as far as I can tell. Amazon is the only place I have seen the V2. I'll look around and post you and update you if I find it.

If I import it from Amazon US to France it will cost me around 200$. It’s not as good as a deal now unfortunately.
I have contacted MJX, this model is an Amazon exclusivity but only the US store has it. I don’t quite understand the sales move here
I’ve been having servo issues with my hyper go truck ver it keeps dieing but still a good rc brand.
They sell I nice 21kg upgrade for them on aliexpress.

Been watching these mjx back to back. I’m honestly not sure which one I want to get. I am kind of partial to the rock racer looking one. Looks like a rock Rey.

I've bought 4 of them so far lolol. They've been great. Bought myself a Rival MT10 at Xmas to get myself back into a bit of RC bashing since 20 years ago when I had my nitros. Then thought I'd try one of these for something smaller for a bit of a laugh . Bought the Lancia rally looking car, mini infraction, the monster truck and buggy. Had loads of fun with em so far and nothing has broke as yet.
The 14209 is awesome. I would actually recommend it over the 14210. You can't go wrong with MJX.
Is this one better for off road and pavement? And good for a beginner? My son is turning 11 and this will be his first RC car.
Yes, it's awesome. The remote can be turned to %70 throttle fir beginners.

The H16BM is a winner too, we love it.. same exact electrics but it has the battery clip setup.

Yes, under the battery tray, it has the HC pattern to stiffen it up.

Mine did 25MPH on 2S.
Mine broke in kess than 2 hours. And tires were fully worn in yhat time too. What broke was tue front shock tower. Its $100 canadian to get metal parts aftermarket. These parts apparently fit terribly too. Otuer choice is $20 for a new front shock tower. 0 customer suppodt so far.
Wow. I have run mine for months. My son did just break the front shock tower, too. It was a $10 replacement part. I'm not putting aluminum upgrades on mine.
Hbx has been Johnny on the spot for me . Sent me a free 3s battery about to be for sale , just released , soon on Amazon . Hbx has 90 day parts warranty and they stood by it so far for a wing and threw in the battery
Really wish you had showed how you got the 3S battery to fit, because I just got the EXACT same vehicle and the 3S battery, but it does not fit in the battery slot, it rides up on one end and also hits the steering arm unless raised up even further. Also the spare Diff that came with mine is binding really bad, took it apart to see if something was stuck in it but saw nothing to cause it to bind.. so put it back together and it's still binding. Poorly designed from what I can see. Not impressed with this MJX brand so far.
I used my ovanic 3S in these with no problems. The plastic diffs are just ok. The metal upgraded diffs are great. Sorry you are having issues. All of my MJX RCs have been fun and reliable.
I got the angry snail upgrade 3s battery that's suppose to fit in this but it don't, it's too long.
Wish they would have put in the new upgraded diffs in these.... This is just a different body on the same thing
It also has a different battery mounting system. You can easily order the upgrades on Amazon now. I really like this little buggy.
I mean they have a “solid” platform so why not make full use of it.
It's a LiPo not lithium ion
Lipo batteries are flat. Li-on are round. I have been doing this a long time. I know the difference.

The news was that you can order directly off of Amazon instead of aliexpress. And that it comes with battery straps to be able to fit different size batteries. Thanks for watching.
