Wow, that's a nice assortment of goodies in the box. The packaging looks solid, and that purple body looks really good (even though you called it Barney)! 45 mph box stock is nothing to sneeze at - looks like a really solid truck!
Its a great 14th scale basher. It does everything, really well.
People strip the cross-head screws because they use a Phillips head screwdriver. The driver that comes with the car is garbage. You need a good Japanese industrial Standard or JIS Cross-Point for short. They are expensive but worth every penny if you buy these inexpensive RC cars with Cross-Point screws. You won't strip them with JIS Cros-Points. Phillips heads will always come out because they are not fluked. Phillips is cut completely differently. I get mine from Japan Hobby Tool. They grip the screw like a pit bull. Don't buy cheap ones from Amazon or eBay. You want ones made in Japan with hardened steel. Japan Hobby TOOL makes the best IMO.
If you watch my other videos I recommend the Klien driver. The cheap one they send with it is not good. With that being said hex head is still better.

In Japan we got the Deerc 14210, which I think it's the same with shorter shocks, the dual mode ESC and shipped with 3S batteries. It handles better than the original and the new ESC is nice, it basically makes 3S perform as 2S which is cool if you have kids around and also gives you more running time.
Agreed. They continue to upgrade and improve these RCs. In my opinion, they are hands down the best mini bashers out there. Fast, fun, and durable. Thanks for watching and the feedback.
@@hyperc5249Yes, they are impressive once you get used to them. I actually got a 12409 body too and kinda adapted it with normal clips on the front but a zip tie secured on the wheely bar for the back. Oh and they should be releasing a 1/10 in June btw.

Got mine in a few days ago and this little car is awesome! It’s my first mjx car and I’m sure I’ll be buying more! My only complaint is the reverse sometimes takes a while to engage or register on the reciever. I’ve lost most my body clips already but the body fits so tight I don’t think I need them! I’ve traction cartwheeled at full speed on asphalt tons of times and nothing has broke!

In regards to issues people are having controlling the mjx 1/14 or any 1/14 for that matter, with so much power and short wheel base it’s difficult to control at top end speeds. Any thoughts?

I've been looking for a channel that explain the difference between lithium, polymer and lithium ion batteries, and you just knocked it out of the park. Do you think it's better than the HPX 112 scale?
Thanks bro. Im not familiar with HPX. If you are referring to HBX 2997a, that's a tough call. If it's a 14th scale, the Jetwood for sure. The 12th scale steps it up on size and jumping.

Yes it can.
I was running my hyper go all road truck on 2s and tested different gyro settings from 25% to 100%...this gyro is very good..even at 100 % very little wiggle going on...i had bought a cheap gyro and installed in 1/16 scale car..the only way i could remove wiggle was to have barely any gyro action at all..this gyro is only the second one i ever used and it seems incredible compared to thar cheap one...can i just buy gyro separate? I could install it in a couple of cars...thanks for your help...

The box was soaked like someone left it in the rain. It Ran for 15 minutes. I’m returning it and never buying another RC off Amazon no matter how glowing the reviews are. Learned my lesson. I’ll stick to big brand even if it costs more
@derekmalunow8962 wow. Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have personally bought about 10 RCs off of Amazon and never had a bad experience. Sounds like your drive left it in the rain. Better luck next time.
Shit, a serious update to the xD Shock absorber is lower, the backlight was added, and I did not understand what it was about. For me, the most important thing is how well plastic is made... The rest can be collected with closed eyes.
Actually i just ran my new hyper go all road truck in front of my house last night...the lights are great for driving in complete darkness...never had lights before and love them.
Stickers are nice,but what if you need to make repairs...don't you have to remove botton screws? Thanks for great review...
You are welcome. The Amazon Jetwood and MJX page both carry all the replacement parts and upgrades.
What i should have said..i think that sticker would be impossible to remove to get to screws...or it may not be...but definitely has to be removed..would be nice if it could be reapplied after repair..but not sure,probably not from my years of sticker experience...😊 thanks

I only see one 3S battery pack in the box but you mention getting two....
One was loose, and the other was in the truck.
@hyperc5249 Sir, do you have a recommendation on a RC simular to this one but just as much power speed, is a little wider, and longer wheelbase that doesn't flip over nearly as much? I like watching rc bashing but I can't bring myself to abuse one near as much as some I see doing on TH-cam.

They only come with the Jetwood RTR. Not sold separately.
The newest MJX Hyper Go had become the same upgrade. Only the break light isn’t on the MJX and they have still the same Body design
I have all of the 14th scale Hyper Go RCs. This is the first one sold in the USA that's has those upgrades.
I just brought my MJX 1/14 scale with all the updates three weeks ago from China ( Banggoods). The MJX has still the 3000mAH 2S Lipo Batterie. We have the old version, too.
do you know if the 5 button press on the esc works with the V2?
Yes it should. ESC has K in the part number. If it doesn't have a K then no.

Your description says you are comparing to the H14BM but in the video it shows the 14210?
The H14BM is a 14210. The only difference is the front CVDs. I have all of them. The upgrades are the same from either 14210 or H14BM.
Awesome! I had been eyeing the h14bm but looked way too squirmy at full speed. This looks way more stable! Was able to get on Amazon for $150 just now as a lightning deal with the coupon!

No. You will have to upgrade to another TX/RX for that.
I love my car HyperGo 14210, but there is a defect in the control when I drive it fast 😢

Forgive me but I have MANY cars and this car I own just because it looks good and is a baby version of my Kraton 8S but it drives terribly. It just wants to do an 180 and roll backwards. There is something really wrong in the center of mass and slush is enough to jam the steering completely...
Mine drives great. Check your diffs.

O that's not good. You can always replace it with the solid one. Parts are not expensive for these.

@@hyperc5249 Well, It arrived today from Amazon, didn't have the aluminum links, or Hex screws, came with the plastic links, and Phillips head screws. That Stinks..
The steering is still very sloopy even with the metal links it needs the metal brace on top of them, the plastic one has the holes too big and the whole steering linkages has a lot of play as a result. Other week points are the metal used for drive shaft which at impact snap rather then bend. The wheely bar also week and the bottom screw gets pulled out straight from the dif casing. The steering tie rods being made out of plastic also snap very quickly and the screws bend easely. Overall opinion is that stay away from this RC as it will cost a lot to maintain. The car is too heavy and at impact gets huge damages.
I bash all my MJXs pretty hard, and I have broken minimal parts on all of them. There needs to be some loose tolerances on steering, or you will bust parts and servo. I like them and will continue to buy and review them. I let my boys bash them and have only ever had 1 shock tower break. So either some people don't know how to drive or the are bashing rigs and not expecting them to break. If you bash, you break parts. That why they call it bashing.
@hyperc5249 I disagree. I have two HBX's and had no issues with the steering other then upgrading the servo the links flex and they never break so its the body nice flexible plastic which bounces every time, my little one is been bashing the nuts out of HBX 901a and 16889A and till today we only change the components because of wear, like the bevel gear and dog bones. Just look at mjx 14303, the same steering but the top brace is different hence no play is achieved with the same linkage. The brace is also supported in more points. So it can be done just that this car is way to heavy for the components to take a propper bash. We jump the cars at a BMX pump track and the HBX always leaves from there working, but the MJX is nearly every time broken with one or two components. It's up to you, the speed of the car is great but the reliability very low. But obviously you might have your experience, which is fine. I'm just comparing HBX to MJX for this size truggies. The Rally cars from 14301, 14302 and 14303 are much better cars and have no problem with them they are awesome just this model is pretty weak. I wish it was better but this is my opinion and was pretty disappointed that a lot of youtubers praise this car so much but actually has a lot of week points.

I have the V3 and right out the bat I say is not as tough as these influencers are promoting it to be. First couple of easy runs and the left steering linkage broke, actually the screw broke and I couldn't get it out so I had to drill another hole and out a better screw.. the other one eventually broke, this time the plastic broke. No replacement parts in the box so I have to wait for a month to get replacements witch are plastic. What a big design flaw this is. I recommend to stick to the big brands and buy from the local shop where you find everything you need.
I don't know. I bash mine pretty darn hard. You can also find all kinds of aluminum upgrades if you want. Some of this also comes down to driving skill as well. All bashers are liable to break. LOL, you bash them.

@@hyperc5249 indeed there are upgrades witch eliminate this problem but the design in itself is not good. The whole chassis is too narrow for the power it has. Literally every turn I take turns into a tumble. It's basically an overpowered design flaw. Also the wheels have this annoying play like they're not attached properly witch explains the wobble you have at high speed, it's almost incontrollable. Sorry don't take it personally but negative opinions are crucial for RC evolution.
@daily_dose_of_flying No offence taken. It sounds like a driver error to me. I can drive mine straight at 48mph, do double backflips, and slide it around without tumbling it. But I have been bashing, racing, and crawling for years. So I'm a pretty good driver.

This is still a h14BM same crap handling ....pure junk! The steering on these things is an abomination . Put as much JUNK in the box so peeps think it a great deal. No way in HE#L you should buy this when you can get AMORIL 1/10 RTR Brushless in the same price range, a FAR better option!!!! Just my $0.02. Hell I would say get the H16BM over this thing even. Way not impressed with this platform.
