  • The Nissan Kicks is a compact crossover that features expressive style, personal technology, intelligent safety, efficient powertrain, and strong value positioning. The Kicks is aimed at city living consumers and is ready to tackle the intensity of the urban landscape. It embodies Nissan Intelligent Mobility with standard Automatic Emergency Braking and available Intelligent Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert! The not so much dynamic performance is provided by a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive, and responsive suspension while delivering, a Nissan claimed, best-in-class fuel economy. It's the only vehicle in its segment to offer standard Automatic Emergency Braking for a great price! Competition in the tiny-SUV world is heating up and the Kicks is a practical choice with plenty of personalities.

It would be interesting to see more 2WD crossovers do the ramp test like you occasionally do with trucks and larger vehicles. Even the FWD vehicles should do OK if their traction control can shift power to the one wheel on the ground.

I drove it today as a rental and was thinking about it for my next car but think I'll look around now. What do you like that is similar?

crappy mpg for this type of car.

@@miyoshiumeki That is not true at all. I get 29-37 around town and 38-48.5 on the expressway. And it isn't a hybrid.

My Nissan kicks pops out the dipstick when it’s cold weather. The recall didn’t fix the issue. I’m in Canada. Other than that the car is good on gas if your able to drive it.

So far yes. I have one. For kicks (no pun intended) I looked up "affordable 2022 SUVs" just now on Google I could've gotten a better SUV. Just get a Toyota or Honda.

I rented this car and it had 10K miles at the time (2023). It was ok BUT only got 30 mpg highway which is pretty awful for this type of car.

@@CarQuestion plenty of modern cars use foam fender seals... and they're way more expensive than the Nissan Kicks. Styrofoam does not hold water.
