Got mine in 30-06 back in December of 2015. Paid $350 for it. I utilized the scope that came with the rifle. I sighted it in at 100 yards. Remington Core 185 grain I did use a bench sled . It shot .75 the trigger is set at 2.5 pounds. I have heard you can't sight them in they don't hold a group. I don't know if they are trashing the rifle for some reason or Mossberg quality control isn't consistent. All I know this is one of the most accurate rifles i have shot and i really like the trigger. I have taken it to the range shot 10 rounds in about 30 minutes at 400 yards easy 6 to 4 inch group. My buddy was shooting a Ruger precision in 6.5 Creedmoor he stopped shooting at 400 yard moved to 600 yard cause he knew my limit was 400. He paid $1300 for the rifle and about $1700 for the scope. Yes, it's more accurate than my rifle but almost 10 time the cost. I do believe he was a little embarrassed that's why he moved to 600 yards. Also wouldn't even shoot my rifle beause his trigger wasn't as good.
I won a Mossberg Patriot in .25-06 at a Whitetails Unlimited Deer Camp. I put a Riton optic on it. It’s a total tack driver!
I just got a 7 Rem Mag today in Mossberg Patriot. Its 24" threaded barrel. Rifle and sope bases out the door $436. Always wanted a 7mm hopefully it will group good.
Awesome
Rewind time. Inexpensive does not mean cheaply made. Great sighting system. 🙏👍😎
Got a ATR 100 ,30/06 like the 1st or 2cd year they came out, factory 165 .75moa, reloads .5moa @ 100yds. Got witnesses of deer falling down way outthere. Gave that to my son, why, cold bore shot capability. It's put some Remington, Winchester, howa's down at our range. From a bench, bags. We do 20 bucks a man, 1st shot, at the range proofing b4 gun season. 18yrs they bought brass, bullets and powder lol. Ain't nothing wrong with Mossberg rifles. Hit em right with the 1st shot ain't got to worry about the 2cd one.
My son's Patriot 3006 shoots lights out he has shot 3 buck with it. I payed $299.00 it and couldn't be happier.
Have a couple Patriots myself, a .270 and a .308 ....... not disappointed in them😉
Bought my Mossberg patriot .308 3 yrs ago. 319$ Took some testing of loads but now shoots sub .500 3 shot Groups at 100 consistently . I also had to add a few things to it to control muzzle jump..Started out shooting the 2-3” groups like everybody else . Now way more enjoyable to shoot. Really enjoy the channel!
I've been using Mossberg firearms since the mid 1960's they are amazing firearms. Mossberg makes firearms that continue to work for decades and decades without costing an arm and a leg, they bring home the meat.
I have a Mossberg Patriot in .300 Win. Mag and it is a tack-driver. Two in the same hole at 200 yes. From a lead sled and took a New Mexico Elk at 365 yds right through the pump.
That's the first positive review of a Patriot I've seen in a very long time. They look good, but it seemed no one could find one that was accurate. A .489" 3 shot group is something you can't argue against at all. Fun one to watch. Happy Easter brother!
Happy Easter devildog!
At that point it’s quality control. It’s not worth risking to “get a good one”
I have patriot 243 ,if you reload you can load bullets longer wich I think most patriots prefer?that's why we reload instead of complaining how poop some factory ammo can be ,factory ammo is designed to run average in most guns ?reload and fine tune each gun ????and all guns shoot good?????
@@bilboswaggens2975 feel the same especially with ruger’s out there shooting under an inch Everytime.
@@drdes9609 amen brother. Nothing wrong with a ruger American if you’re just looking to fill your freezer.
just got same one in 7prc, absolutly love it
Awesome
Love mossberg would put my grandaddys mossberg 472 3030 lever action against anything on the market i under stand the patriots are not built for competition shooting and 7 mm prc can burn barrel but for normal users they are the best for the money in my opinion which probably doesn't matter to a lot of people but i am a blue collar worker who has many Patriot rifles in different calibers and they all shoot true
Hah ha! I think 7/64ths Allen key is also what you need to remove the faucet handle on a Moen shower valve. I remember hunting everywhere in my tools until I found one!
I like how you use that laser and 2 dot system to site her in. Good thinking!
You can screw a 2x4 at the front of your table to load that bipod. You can push the bipod legs against the board to load it, and prevent it from hopping. It will most likely shoot better.
I had a mossberg 7mag it was spot on
I have Mossberg Patriot in .243 and it is very accurate. Great video!
Awesome
I've got the Patriot in 6.5 creedmoor shoots good and accurate I love mine no problems at all with it
Good video Adam look forward to a follow up soon 👍👍
I'm glad to see you have a great experience with your Mossberg. Like I have told you before, mine in 6.5 PRC would shoot that same Hornady ELD-X ammo at ¾" m.o.a.
I got two patriots one in 6.5 creedmoor and one in 375 ruger and both of them are always sub MOA mostly .5" groups for both of them
I sighted a Patriot in 270 Win in for a friend. 100 yards using a bag of corn on my 4 wheeler seat as a rest. I got a 3/4" group with that setup. The bolt was somewhat sloppy, but you couldn't gripe at the accuracy.
Love my Patriots and MVP's. I have the .308 MVP and the .375 Ruger Patriot. No issues at all.
Great show and thanks for the info 👍👍👍👍
been kicking the idea around of a mossberg, but been scared of all the guntube hater reviews. with a positive wtw review i'll probably try one. thanks man!
Thanks for watching
I’d go Ruger if your trying to stay in a lower budget, the patriots seem to have a hit and miss QC issue where as the Ruger Americans seem to consistently shoot.
@@jaydunbar7538 i have 4 americans and you're absolutely right. always wanted to try a mvp scout though.
I held that gun at my local Cabelas and it had the camo stock Patriot Predator. I couldn’t believe how nice it felt. The cheek piece on that stock was spot on. The cerakote was perfect. Price $519 in 7 prc. I drove to every gun shop around and no one had 7 PRC on the shelf so I passed on it for now. Impressive gun. Nice review. I love an underdog. I think the way they design the chamber for 7 prc or any PRC for that matter they will shoot by default. Go listen to the Hornady podcast and you’ll understand why. It is way above my pay grade and knowledge but Hornady has another winner. Wait till .25 PRC hits late this year or shot show time frame. That will be a sweet little round.
Just picked one up and I was very surprised how solid it felt wasn’t expecting much. Great value for sure.
I know someone who has a patriot 06 and he's had it for years and has gotten countless game with it.

I have a Mossbert Patriout in 6.5cm that shoots great. My ony complaint is that the bolt opens when you bump a tree limp or brush walking through the woods.
Thanks for taking us to the range for some fine fun ! An old work buddy bought one in 308 and loves it he was in the army infantry as well so there you go. Good to se ol Wild Man as well !! Wa Yea
There ya go. Thanks for watching
I still haven't shot my Patriot in 350 Legend, but I've got an older ATR 100 in .243 that has been a lights out, DGP since day one. It's handled everything I've thrown at it respectfully. I also have a Mossberg Silver Reserve that shoots and performs wonderfully. I've been hesitant to drop for the 7mm PRC, but this might push me over that edge. Oh... DGP is Damn Good Purchase.
Your group was actually tighter than you said. Pausing the video, you can see that you are at the outside edge of the double hole. You are a good shot and have to give yourself more credit. As far as the Mossberg Patriot rifle, I have heard nothing but good results, and everyone that I know that has them really like them. Your videos are always great, and I always look forward to watching them. I watch several firearm related channels, and yours is definitely one of my favorites. There is always a lot of really good information without all of the hoopla and fancy rifles and pistols. Keep up the great work and keep those videos coming.
Purchased my Patriot in 30/06 about 3 years ago. Been absolutely fantastic rifle,
Good to hear
I just sighted mine in this morning. I got .47” group at 100yrds. Paired with a Nikon 4-12x40 BDC reticle. Very pleased.
Awesome!!!
@@WHOTEEWHO I was doubtful before seeing your review because of some past reviews from other channels. One thing I did was loctite the picatinny rail. But be cautious of it dripping into the receiver. Anyways. I’m sure the added cinfidence from your review made me hold a little harder.
Thank you, Sir! I have been looking for 7prc, Mossberg Patriot is on my list now.
Thanks for watching
its nice to have an honest guy reviewing things regular poor people can afford. thank you for that. Keep making great videos
Appreciate you watching
This affordable rifle is available in a cartridge not marketed by Hornady. Keep that in mind
Nobody can complain about that group 🎯
How about picking up a BCA AR 10 in ,243 and testing it with 58gr-108gr?
After watching your videos, I picked up a Ruger American .450 BM. Keep up the good work!
I’m glad it did as well as the 6.5 creedmoor ! And I found mine did better without the bipod ! I assume a stock barrel clearance issue but off the bags it did really well !
have had ine in 308 for years and no issues or fails
Just bought mine online ,Can't wait to get it. Will glassbed it on a custom stock.
Love the wool sock with rice in it. I use the same setup👍
Over the years i have setup several mossberg patriots for family members in various calibers. Once you figured out what they liked they all still shoot well under an inch.
Go Mossberg Patriot! I've never had a Mossberg Patriot, but I have a Mossberg shotgun, and I really like it! Looks like good results to me!🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲
John 14:6
I have a patriot in 6.5cm and one in 450bm and they both shoot great. Shot a real nice 8pt buck last year with the 6.5. I'll be picking up one of them in 7mm PRC as well!
My mossburg patriot in 300 win mag is sub moa with some factory ammo and reloaded ammo
Terrific group! My only concern is the availability of 7mm PRC at most gun stores. What a bargain you've found!
Sweet! Going to have to pick one up for myself 👍🏼
Glad you had better luck than you had with the Ruger
Love those old western electric wire cable tables. Nice rifle also and scope. My dream scope of mine. 😉
I notice some muzzle breaks are a different metal so it doesn’t stick to the tip when using those laser .
Don’t forget it could be the ammo too , to tighten those group
My 243 is great , still holding shooting like once a year
The can adds barrel length and arguable accuracy. Wonder how it groups without it. That being said, thats impressive.
Wish I’d known you was within a few miles of me. I’d like to have met you. Hope you enjoy it I want one bc 7 rem mag is my favorite round.
For the price that’s a pretty accurate rifle. I was thinking about the thinner barrel, but you can’t argue with the results 👍
Exactly right, that is why you test guns . If they work that well and are durable ,who cares who makes it
Yup
Right on Hootie that was a nice group
Thanks Gary
Got'er dialed in perfect WTW ! Glad to see a positive review of the Patriot as the reviews have been mixed. Are the composite stocks hollow (noisy) ? I like the looks of their wood stocks too. 👍🇺🇸
I believe it is hollow. Not sure
I got a mossberg patriot in 243. It doesn't shoot as good as groups as your gun by anymeans but it gets the job done and for the price I say it's worth it.
👍👍
Great stuff! 👍
The info on the patriot that I had seen was not good, but I’m very impressed with yours. Hope it continues to do good for you. BTW, where do you live in Tennessee? I have family in the Nashville area.
People think they are trash. Cause backfire had bad luck with one. I had one was a sub moa right out of the box with factory ammo. 270 win
👍👍
Who is who in great gun videos ? Well Who Tee Hoo is who ! Love ya bro and what you do ! Keep sendin em !
Thanks Rob
I’ve had 3 patriots. All were very good shooters.
Good to hear
I have 2 patriots. The reason for bad groups is the stock and the way the barrel seats in the stock. I couldn't get better then 4 " groups. Made a piller for the back tightened up holds 1 1/2 . 308 . I didn't fool with the front screw. Probably could tweek it more and get BB better groups
That is an impressive set up
Tack driver, whotee!
This Mossberg Patriot is obviously NOT trash!!! Very nice.
👍👍
I have one in 30-06 and get the same results. I just think some people stick their nose in the air because it’s not expensive. If it were the same package but 1200-1500bucks the same people trashing it would give it the best reviews. The world is a strange place 😂
I agree.
Not true, many of the people trashing the mossberg for being junk love the Ruger American and that’s not exactly a high dollar rifle, frequently it’s the cheapest as anyone who watches this channel knows. Chalking up others experience to being snobs while they are praising the only other rifle that frequently claims the title of “cheapest one in X cartridge” is just as silly as the actual snobs writing off cheap guns simply based on price.
Most people trashing Mossberg have probably never even shot one. They read one bad review on TH-cam and then proceed to parrot that over and over. Having owned many rifles, including three Mossbergs that all shot sub-moa, I find it incredulous that there are all these people out there whose rifles can't shoot groups smaller than 3-6" as they claim...
How do you still like this rifle? Thinking about getting one, then buying a higher end 7PRC in a few years after more are available and kinks worked thru.
I love it
Leave it to WTW to bring us reviews we didnt know we needed to see, such an awesome video man! Great to see you get such great results from this rifle! Nothin better than watchin folks ya like catch a Win.
🙏🙏🙏
Awesome! Nice rifle
Oh man. I just recently got back a blueprinted Rem 700 action newly married to a 24" heavy Hart barrel 8 twist, Jewell trigger, HS-Precision stock. Barrel is fluted. Excited to take it to the range a few weeks ago with factory Hornady ELD-M and ELD-X ammo. Best group of 3 was 2 inches! Definitely planning on handloads for it but so disappointed.
Yikes
@@WHOTEEWHO Hope you buy MORE of that exact ammo SAME lot number.
Hope you checked everything over, simple errors can cause crazy results.
@@jaydunbar7538 I did (if your message is for me). First rifle build I've ever had that did that, and I have several with Hart barrels which usually print 1/2 MOA or better starting with my first shot. I have an MDT chassis system on the way and plan to drop it in that to see if anything changes
Glad you had good luck with Mossberg. It’s a hit and miss with them. I’m pulling for these inexpensive American rifle manufacturers to put out a good product.
I see you tried my advise by switching to a Bi-Pod, but you picked one that has a little bit of movement for comfort, but you probably will shoot better with the bi-pod. Also, l I ke I said Mossbergs makes great rifles (and shotguns), that's why I buy them
Enjoyed the video as always that's some really fine shooting never owned a Mossberg Patriot before maybe people are having scope mounting issues
Thanks for watching Merlin
Thats 10 times better than my friends. I'm happy that you got a good one.
If you ever shoot it without the suppressor check out ultradyne apollo lr muzzle break its amazing! Props to mossberg for making a over the counter 1,000 yard rifle for 500 bucks😂 love my 2 rifles. I would put my 7mm prc up against any 5,000 dollar rifle any day! Is it the same quality absolutely not but is it a tool that will get the same result for thousands cheaper absolutely!
I honestly couldn’t believe that from a mossberg. Every single mossberg rifle I have seen and shot first hand just cannot shoot. Maybe mossberg is doing something right now, as always great videos and love the channel! I maybe will pick one up myself!
I wonder why this one is so much better than the Ruger American… They have the same rifling twist, similar link barrels but maybe the barrel profile is different for the rifling is actually better on this one?
Great results!
WTW, the way I see it is most of them folks probably don't know how to shoot such a nice bull lot slinger! 😂👍👍
😝👍👍
Great video! Been waiting for it ever since I bought my mossberg 7mm prc, just bought ammo this week, put a ruger muzzle brake on it, gonna shoot it for the first time tomorrow! Really excited to get in on the front of the what may be a really big event!
Let me know how it does
WOW! Shot 4 shots @100yds…4th was a bullseye 🎯 after adjusting redfield 3x9 scope and that ruger muzzle brake really took the recoil out of it, really did shoot like a 243! Real pleasure to shoot! I LOVE IT!! Gonna take it out further, I believe this IS the future of 7mag shooting!! Thanks for the vids, Roll on😎👍🏻✅
Nice first group.
I have two different patriots, one is 300 with mag and a 450 bushmaster. They both shoot 1/2 " groups ar 100 yards. Not sure why they get a bad rap. I think they are a great gun.
👍👍
I got my dad a patriot in 270 , federal blue box in 130 gr performs for him . Put a zeiss conquest 3x12x44 on it. ✌️
Nice
I have a Mossberg MVP Predator in 223. Shoots similar groups at a 100m. Really interested to see how the 7mm PRC is doing as a hunting round. Appreciate your channel! 😊
Appreciate you watching
Good gear and equipment is just that, good gear and equipment.
Glad to see that it worked out good for you. Maybe they tightened up.
I’ve Ben thinking about one of these . So thank u for the video.
Thx for the review 👍🎯💪🏽🔫🇺🇲
I owned a Mossberg Patriot in 308, and loved it, my ex wife sold it out from under me, otherwise I would still have it..
Yikes
Impressive results with a super budget offering. Shouldn't really be a surprise. It is a prc. It's supposed to shoot that good. Good job mossberg and wtw!
I love it
Great job.
The scope your using sure helps out on that grouping WTW !!
Absolutely
PLUS YOUR AWESOME SHOT WTW !!! You got some mad skills there son !! @@WHOTEEWHO
Nice. The fluting on the barrel and bolt makes it look fairly unique
Wow i love so far
It is a beautiful rifle!!
Happy Easter from Canada brothers!
Happy Easter
Gonna be picking up a 300 prc here soon :) that’s a nice group tho
