HI Robyn, I have YES paste and it has yellowed and become brittle over the years. I found a forum of book conservationists who said it's not archival. I just wanted to share that tidbit. I now use only acrylic mediums to secure my papers.

Robyn, I real love your Goddess Language lettering. It is certainly the coolest design element I have seen in a very, very long time! It looks so beautiful in white on this fabulous collage of your gorgeous gelli prints. Having found you has really made my day. I have grown tired of the same 'ole printing stencils upon stencils with the gelli plate videos, although there is nothing wrong with this style of printing, I just have longed to find someone, who desires a similar outcome with their prints. Joanna Grant has a similar style, yet she always shows her beautiful finished works of art, yet hasn't really shared how she obtains her finished pieces. Journal Artista has done a great job, showing how to get those wonderful "crusty bits," but I must admit, you have me so excited to get my plates out and get to work. Thank you so much Robyn for taking the time to make these videos.

I did not catch the video about Gelli printing on onion skin - will search for this. However, wondering if the background to this piece has metallic gold in it. Do you have time to answer this question please. Appears to be metallic from the video. This is a beautiful piece, much worthy of framing in the way you decide. I love the subtle colors. Looks like old architecture, old walls and looks so originally old!! I am so glad I found you today! Love, love your work!! Brought up memories of some things techniques I did a long time ago using onion skin paper, and I want to go back to those roots. You have inspired me so much and I sincerely thank you!

      Update! lol
      1. I put off having Amazon Prime for years because I didn't think I needed it. I rarely buy things online. But thanks to your comments about it - I signed up yesterday and ordered a few things. And they delivered today! Within 24 hrs! That's crazee! lol And it's not really expensive. Thanks for the inspiration. lol
      2. Two of the things I ordered were a pad of Vellum and a tin of Daddy Van's Furniture Wax.
I discovered that it doesn't do much to regular tracing paper, but it definitely makes a translucency difference on vellum! So yeah, it might prove worthwhile when collaging. :)
      Thanks for your videos!

Test YES glue with a damp stencil brush. Take it up in circles and apply in circles. The damp brush makes application much easier . Experiment. Look for an early video by Inky Obsessions by Patti Tolley Parrish.

Hi Robyn! I am a photographer and recently stepped into the world of mixed media and thoroughly impressed by Your technique with gelli printing. Thank You! The results are so beautiful and strike my nerve. Please do not stop making these videos! If I may suggest, a video of how You do encaustics would be most interesting. Most encaustic sources tell me not to put encaustic wax onto a surface previously painted/printed with acrylics. What are Your thoughts and experiences about that?

Hi Robyn, Love, love, love your videos. I am just t getting started with Gelli printing. I was very confused to see some of them because the folks never seem to quit adding layers. I kept thinking *when are they going to stop* As I started looking more and more into it, I saw where the folks used different mediums such as distress inks etc, and I love some of the stuff.Yours is more on what I would like to do!! I am also like you, My single purchase that I start out with if I go to the store turns into getting more and more purchases than I wanted or even needed??? I started using Amazon Prime and it helps to give me more time to work also. Now if I can just cut down on ordering from Amazon, LOL. I am off to watch more of your videos. Thanks again for taking the time t make these videos.

Robyn, Please don't recommend Yes! paste. It yellows and browns with age and doesn't hold adhesion over time. I have a friend who is a paper conservator and she did a time and temperature test on yes paste and it turned brown faster than any of the other glues tested. These tests are the standard for determining longevity of pastes and glues.

    • @ReviewsAndMore9

They are not a real language. More like scribbling to simulate Asian writing or ancient writings. Do it fast, without thinking about it for best results. I grew up in Japan, so mine resembles Japanese calligraphy but is not Japanese itself. None of it says anything. It’s pure mark making.

Hi, again, Robyn, I just watched another of your videos and asked how you used your gelli prints in collage and then saw this one. I loved watching your process. I have a suggestion for gluing. If you are anything like me, you get dozens of unsolicited catalogs in the mail. I found the perfect use for them to glue so that I do not have to worry about getting glue on my papers. Glue on a page of the catalog and then just turn to a new page for the next piece. Thanks again for sharing your work.
