Nobody wants to see team’s score about 150 a night, fans actually want to see competitive defense…. The NBA dumbed down the sport to just scoring
The game was more diverse in it's play back in the day because there were specialist in each offensive category. There were back to the basket, mid-range, and 3-point specialist on each team. Basketball was a mirror image of chess; pawns, rooks, horse, etc.. each piece on the team fit together.

These nerds found a way to make themselves relevant by using basic math and labeling it "analytics". We know who can play and who can't. I don't need stats to figure that out. There are too many fake stars in the league now who are allowed to carry the ball, travel, foul bait, and take 15 threes a game even though they missed 12 of them because "3 is better than 2" and "Spacing".

Bingo. Your comment is spot on. Also the one thing these nerds and casual fans don't understand is that when it comes to analytics and data, there's this thing called "variables." Kobe Bryant's 3pt attempts are not the same as a Ray Allen 3pt attempts.
The 3pt barrage is fool’s gold! The game has become more copycat than anything else. 3 more than 2, but 2 is more than 0. Look how many teams are now trying to copy the Celtics, just as they were trying to copy the Warriors 🤣🤷🏾♂️
I’ll tune into a game for about 5-10 minutes. And in those 5-10 minutes, they’ll shoot about 15 threes. I don’t know how you fix it.
Get a coach that plays the inside-out game or get a fast break type of coach that preaches get easy transition points instead of difficult three point shots😊

😂😂😂you’re not even exaggerating which is sad…I did the same thing just the other day, only watched maybe 8 minutes of the first quarter and saw 1 dunk and a missed layup, everything else was threes. And guess what? The dunk I saw was uncontested because no one was in the lane - defense or offense🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

Regular season is irrelevant. Star players don’t play in the regular season. Why even have it? I’ll continue to watch the Finals but that’s it.
That's not true. People watched CC play in a far less entertaining league. It's the way these guys are playing the game that's boring as hell.

Three pointer is such a valuable shot, team USA with a bunch of HoF almost lost the Olympics if not for Serbia gone cold in the 4Q. People will inevitably take the most efficient way to do things, unfortunately in basketball it’s at the cost of the mid range game. Maybe make the three pointer even further so not just any players can shoot it.
I suggest that the NBA should take away the three point line... And extra point basket should be closer to the half court....

I think it’s a pretty simple solution and the NBA did it before it’s time to move the three-point line significantly back. Maybe it’s time for 30 ft. Now there’s a bunch of guys who do that already, but at least it would eliminate a bunch of bums who think they can take threes all the time.

People who don’t know the game think players today are “more skilled”. Why? Because they can shoot 3s in a league where defense is obsolete. A lot of these guys lack fundamentals and it’s painfully obvious to ppl who actually know the game. But if you call this out, they label you a “hater” or “old head”😂😂😂

The media made the NBA unwatchable. Adam silver allowing player empowerment is what ruined the game. Changing the rules so players can score more points ruined the game. Shooting a bunch of 3s didn't kill the game

I haven't watched basketball in a while Puts's so boring. I'll watch the playoffs only now. Used to watch religiously growing up and in my early adulthood. Even had to watch on WGN 😂😂😂

Too many 3s is ruining the NBA. It's unwatchable in my opinion.
It's easy to blame analytics but I think it is that the NBA wants to cater to casual fans for the sake of business, which means more scoring.
Easy fix.. allow only 30 attempts per game any 3 point attempts after 30 counts as a 2.

Sad to say that when I "watch" an NBA game nowadays, it's just background noise. I'll glance at it here and there, but it's just so boring & predictable.
And it sucks cuz it's still the best league and the most talented league in the world, so there is nothing else on a pro level to watch.

The last thing that's ruining the NBA is "analytics". Analytics are a FACT based, OBJECTIVE analysis of ALL the empirical data. If you don't understand that, you're clueless.
And if you can’t understand that analytics are ruining the flow and product of the NBA, you’re clueless.
Analytics is basic math. Per 100 possessions. It's not hard to figure out. Basketball is a sport not a spreadsheet. It's not supposed to be optimized for maximum efficiency. It's about entertainment and competition. Analytic kills some of that. The game obviously suffers because of it.
Another fact is the ratings are down. People don't care to watch.

Anybody with a brain knows that analytics are a calculation towards a higher winning % which should always be the ONLY goal of any NBA team/player. Your entertainment is a non sequitur to anyone who cares about winning.
