  • I tested out the Crescent Kayaks Lite Tackle and was very pleased. Adding a trolling motor is so easy on this boat I had to try it too!

    Good vid! I can see you were having fun with that motor on there and that’s what it’s all about. I can see trolling along would be ideal on that yak

    What size paddle are you using here (what size do you recommend for a 6’2 guy)? Also how did it feel in terms of weight with the battery in there? Did it seem overloaded?

      I was most likely using a 240-260cm adjustable paddle. That range fits most people, kayaks, and their paddling style. The adjustability let's you tune to your needs without buying multiple paddles.

      @@FishingwithFaron nice thanks so much! I just bought a used lite tackle and have a 240 cm from previous kayaks but I’m thinking 260 may be better, but adjustable is even better.

    Did the trolling motor on the Lite Tackle simply clamp on to the transom or did you use some additional attachments?
    Thanks,
    Mike

      Clamps right on the transom. Thanks for watching!

    Hey I was wondering if you can explain what transom mount you used to install the minn kota?

    does the tiller on the minn kota extend? ive got a newport vessels and it extends 6" for a total of 12" and is enough for me to use without 18" minn kota extension. ive got the crew so the tank well isnt quite has big as the LT. the extension doesnt fit on the newport vessels good because it has a flared handle

      The model I have doesn't extend. That sounds like a sweet setup!

    Was it difficult to steer with the motor behind you?

    Not to sound rude, but how much you weigh? I’m 250ish wanna make sure it can support my ass with some room for gear

    Not good at all it's hard to stand up and need to be higher a higher seat position that you get up and get down.

    • @FishingwithFaron
      @FishingwithFaron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could see it needing to be higher for some but it's no issue for me. There is a perfect spot to add a stand assist strap in front of the floor to give you that extra hand.

      Love the Crescent LT! Tracks well and have had no issues standing up or anything. ^^ this guy must be old.
