    What rear axle is that? Is it a Ford 9 shortened axel? I was thinking about getting one but I might just run 14X6” wheels so I can run skirts.

    • @gemcitywelding7234
      @gemcitywelding7234 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a Pitbull Fab 9. QP axles. Narrowed for skirts. I have a video on my channel that shows everything. Thanks for watching.

    Have you test fitted the wheels to the front fenders? With the disc brakes that i am running they hit the fenders.

      No not yet. I’m almost to that point. Thanks for the heads up.

  • @ChristopherL0rtiz
    @ChristopherL0rtiz ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sorry about all the questions man. Lol Are you going to use the stock brake lines? Or are you gonna run new lines? I watched a video where this guy uses two different size lines for front and back. Do you know what sized galvanized tubing is used for the lines?

    • @gemcitywelding7234
      @gemcitywelding7234 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to use two different sizes because the bore size for the front is larger than the bore size on the rear. Depending on what kit you buy, will tell you what you need. Disc/drum uses a proportioning valve. So two different size lines is the norm.

  • @denniscastro1818

    • @gemcitywelding7234
      @gemcitywelding7234 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly bro, the dust caps in these kits are the worst I’ve ever seen. I ended up bending the inside “tab”in just a little bit to get it to fit. It’s not perfect but it works. Hope that helps.

    Question, when shortening the rear end on your impala do you know the width from end to end ( so I can run fender skirts) I have yet to put my rear disc brakes on I was told that shortens it a little , we are talking “Factory Rear End” thank you sir !Efrain Gonzalez from the SF Bay Area! Keep up the good videos!!

    • @gemcitywelding7234
      @gemcitywelding7234 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ll be honest with ya. Check out Lonestar lows video on their Pitbull rear. He does a really good job on explaining everything. And yes, with skirts you’ll definitely wanna narrow the rear. Especially if running a 13x7 or 14x7 wheel. Thanks for watching 👊🏻👊🏻

    Is that a zero offset kit?

    • @gemcitywelding7234
      @gemcitywelding7234 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it is not. It will move the wheel 7/8” outward. Hope that helps. Take care.

    • @gemcitywelding7234
      @gemcitywelding7234 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve done a little research today on the zero offset kits. Warning, I am not 100% positive that what I’m about to say is accurate. So please do your own research. It would appear that the “zero offset” kit uses a rear rotor from a gen 2 trans am, and a 61-68 full size Chevy hub. Again, this isn’t the gospel. Just trying to give you a direction to head on your research.
