I use to travel to that area many times, Treherbert was Tresherbert to me as I head up the Bulk. Had tea with the Treorchy Male voice choir one Thursday evening.
One day when we have moon bases in every Lunar crater I will build my own rocket and build my own colony called Cymru Newydd on the moon, and I will make this the anthem of our new independent nation in the sky, to honour our fallen hero who first landed on the moon our capital will be called Caermorgan. R.I.P Morgan the moon, you really went above and beyond everybody's expectations.
Mate I,m Aussie my name is Gavin Jones I can remember my elderly relatives who had migrated to NEW SOUTH WALES I never got to meet my Grand dad.. He , Grand dad fought with the Welsh Border Regiment On the Western front . In WwI,.My dad was born in Newport which I recently discovered is near Cardiff .I,m first gen Aussie but I am very proud of my Welsh heratige . Over the last couple of days I,ve watched quite a bit of your video,s I would love to visit where my dad was born I love your stuff mate I can understand why you have such a following. As far as your videos based on Welsh rugby I guess it helps if you have played the game or folliwed it closely which I have. To quote an Aussie slang term Bonza My friend keep it coming I am trying to learn some of the Welsh language.I love your stuff mate well done.
Nice editing out of the very small stutter (double 'L' on Lunar or later) by whoever it was. Caught me off guard as I am so used to hearing it "L-lunar or later..." Thanks for the upload from Tynewydd, Treorchy,
And when it was finished, he painted it red. And he called it Bethnal, or so it is said, And he took it up a mountain on a light night in June, To get that bit closer said Morgan the Moon Sing fal-da-dal-dal-dal-da-day Sleepy Treorchy was bathed in white light, when the shuddering hulk, took off in the night. A deafening scream and then a great roar, and up past the houses old Morgan did go. His heat shield was glowing.
His heat shield was glowing like anthersite coal (in Cardiff accent) And we prayed down in Cardiff, in mission control. And the barrow wheels dropped. And the barrow wheels dropped as was previously planned, And old Morgan prepared for Bethnal to land. Sing fal-da-dal-dal-dal-da-day
Old Mock, the mechanic, I remember him well, He once built a rocket, or so they will tell, From an old winding engine, that he found on the dole, It was built in the Rhonda and powered by coal. And here's the chorus which I want all of you tossing, its very simple.
Sing fal-da-dal-dal-dal-da-day Try it, Sing fal-da-dal-dal-dal-da-day Old Mock, the mechanic, I remember him well, He once built a rocket, or so they will tell, From an old winding engine, that he found on the dole, It was built in the Rhonda and powered by coal. Sing fal-da-dal-dal-dal-da-day
Nice try, but a few errors! It's "Dai said he'd get there..." and "...written right through it in Welsh was 'Porthcawl'" And it's "Mog" the mechanic, not "Mock".
He landed like linen, He landed like linen on the crusty old crater, I'd said he'd get there lunar or later. So off Morgan went, in the Moon's swirling dust, to collect some rock samples from the crater's hard crust. Sing fal-da-dal-dal-dal-da-day A strange piece of rock, so old Morgan found, It was lying there, shining on the dust covered ground, It picked it up closely and he lept out a call, 'cause written right through it in Welsh was 'Puff Call' Sing fal-da-dal-dal-dal-da-day
