    I love watching women paint! 2 whole coats of black paint on that much square footage,and she ain't got a drop on herself!!! I'd look like I was wearing black gloves!

    If you wanted to just get the black through paint. Would you skip the brown?

    • @kellercustomsgarage8289
      @kellercustomsgarage8289  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you would probably want to do multiple layers of the black to have different texture.

    Hi. I have a 58 Chevy Apache. I ordered all new fenders and doors. Could I paint primer on the new fenders or would I need to do sanding ? I also doing the patina look

    • @kellercustomsgarage8289
      @kellercustomsgarage8289  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      New fenders usually come with a black ready to paint primer so you could you could just start with the black paint layer

    I like what your doing but that's almost as much work as painting smooth and shiny.

    • @kellercustomsgarage8289
      @kellercustomsgarage8289  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sanding is hard but it's way easier then painting with paint booth and spray gun. You can paint it in sections whenever you want because there's no prep. The front got all dusty in between coats and the great thing is you paint over the dust. I did the back fender in just 2 hours but other sections I did another day.

      @@kellercustomsgarage8289 I did the same thing to a rebuilt totaled 2006 Silverado. Since it was made of different colors body panels from other trucks I decided to give it the same patina paint job but I added hammered metal finish between coats. I also use a real 66 Chevrolet color. Came out awesome

    • @tomcline5631

      Not the rest! I don't like it on actual cars either! People get carried away and the wear patterns are never realistic!
      Cool method on models but never makes a realistic finish on real cars.

      It's not meant to be realistic it's meant to bring character to something that didn't have any. Thanks for watching!
