    Feels like weightlifting is constantly very focused on improving form. Even at your level. I'm a total beginner with the olympic lifts and for me, a big part of learning has been about enjoying the process. Watching videos like this really help me keep my own form in check.

    I just started weightlifting. I can't even snatch 135lbs yet. I don't have the mobility or confidence. You make it look so easy.

    You have huge strong lat muscles at 3:57 where do they come from,do you do specific work with lats or are they straight from the presses you do.

    Your posts are really inspirational for me. I have terrible SI joint pain after having my hips replaced, and it's been a never-ending battle to try to get a minute without pain. I am so glad to see that your re-hab helped and you are back to your awesome, strong self. What kind of shoes are you wearing and do you recommend them for beginner lifters?

      so glad they are helpful for you! i wear the nike romaleos - they are pricey if you are just starting out but a solid investment if you see yourself doing olympic or powerlifting for a while!

    what the difference between doign front squat and back squat? I only do the squats where the bar is on the back of my shoulders. Is there a benefit of doing it in the front?

    Hey, Love your Videos! It might sound stupid, but would ist be possible to make a video about "breathing" in squat and Olympic lifts? It's the one thing I struggle the most (like, nearly passing out in the clean and such...) but it seems like there are no real good information out there about this...

    • @Kris10Pope
      @Kris10Pope  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah i will add it to my list!!

    Are you incorporating an arm pull to the clean? Or are you just training a variation of a high pull? I've heard the arm pull is a no no.

  • @removedastars
    @removedastars 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What's the drill you were doing with 45kg where you were letting your arms swing out? I'm trying to work on timing and would be interested in a breakdown of these drills

    • @Kris10Pope
      @Kris10Pope  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      letting it swing just to find awareness of where the bar is to make contact and then a hit and catch - the top part of the clean only :) basically just 1-2-3 go kind of thing

      Sweet thanks for the insight!! Love seeing your sessions! Would love to see more of these types of drills that you do.
