I appreciate the distinction you make between feelings and emotions, and the importance of our thoughts. Really helpful and clear. I also really like the strategies you provided; all practical and good.

Excellent. I love the insight you've given here. It's more specific than I've seen elsewhere on this topic

I think there are deeper more specific ways of managing, mitigating and preventing emotions, like for example frustration and anger seem to me to be a result of prioritising something that isn't happening that something in the environment appears to be blocking, like for example you want to walk through a door but someone's standing in it, or u want people to be considerate but people arnt considering u, or u want a nice smooth safe drive but someone cuts u off, or u want what u consider to be true to be acknowledged understood or accepted by others but they don't. And you can basically prevent frustration by prioritising something you do have control over before that other thing, like responding kindly or waiting patiently or communicating what u want. Am hoping people have had similar conclusions about other emotions that help them coz I'd really like to hear them, I don't really struggle with anger at all but fear or anxiety I need to find ways to beterr frame presumably my priorities to mitigate them like I do with frustration and anger

I like the way you're thinking about it. As you mentioned, it's always important to prioritize what you do have control over. Thanks for your comment!

Just a constructive comment I find the background sounds and music distracting It makes it difficult to focus on the content

19:21 disappointed you are referencing huberman and wim hof. My mum grew up with severe asthma but has it fully managed through butekyo breathing techniques-.

Hmm, I have never heard of buteyko breathing, but will look into it. Thanks!

Is there another way to just give you a little value to reciprocate the value I got from your video without having to subscribe on Patreon? I don't want to start a subscription when I'm unsure whether I'll actually keep coming back or not. Besides, I am very likely to forget about it which might be good for you, but not for me. I would appreciate a free-form way to send you however much or little I feel (or can afford!) on a piecemeal basis. You could call it a "tip" but it is something else, a value exchange. The idea is value for value. Not pay for some tier and "hope" I get adequate value back. Maybe I will or not. But I'm forced to bet on future value than just pay something for what I just got. Or be pidgeon-holed into some specific dollar amounts like a membership or tier rather than just letting me give you what I can afford according to my sense of value received. You might find that if you open some free-form way to send back some value and maybe a message with it, that others who think like me might give you way, way more than you expect. Your membership and tiers are set according to what you guess people can afford or are willing to give for your primo content or whatever perks. But maybe some people value it a lot more than you expect, or can simply afford it much better. You're not just pidgeon-holeing your "supporters", but also yourself that way. This concept was introduced to me, and I love it. By the way... value is not just money (treasure). Some people might want to offer you their time or talent. If you're curious, you can check out value4value.info to learn about the "model". But NOBODY is trying to sell you anything there... except maybe a new paradigm to consider for yourself and your audience. It's just a website to help explain a nuanced but very positive mental framework. Cheers!

Thanks for the question! I really appreciate you wanting to lend support. Yes, you can actually do this directly in TH-cam using the "Super thanks" button (the one with the heart with the dollar sign in it and says "thanks" next to it). You may have to click the three dot button next to the share and like buttons to find it. Here's how to do it: support.google.com/youtube/answer/9632365?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&oco=0
