I for one have changed my tune on HTTYD 3 the most over time from outright disliking it, to fully appreciating it as a fantastic conclusion. However the only thing I don’t really like about it to this day is Grimmel. Yes, Grimmel is way smarter than Drago Bludvist and he carries his plan out way more effectively. But none of that registered to me because the movie and character are constantly trying to tell me how scary Grimmel is and I wasn’t at all intimidated by him. He’s a good active threat but he absolutely is not scary at all and I don’t remember a single thing he said Drago Bludvist is an absolute caveman but he’s also absolutely ferocious, his war cry is intimidating but also kinda funny, he’s way more memorable, he has a dragon army and I really like that he represents a villain who can’t be reasoned or negotiated with which is a great lesson for Hiccup

Obvious changes in the characters isn't that unusual for a DreamWorks film that was adapted into a series. Tip and her mom from "Home" were a lot sillier in the series version of their film, Stacey from "The Boss Baby" got a total personality change, the father-son relationship between Peabody and Sherman isn't as pronounced in the series as it was in the film, and Astrid and Hiccup's kiss was sort of retconed in the series, and that was one of their more faithful transitions.
The HTTYD Franchise is just the best of the best, animation, voice, design, they delivered everything especially that SCOREE dude when I heard it when watching the 1st movie, It carries the same feeling of that Avenger's theme a few years after the movie was made. HTTYD along with The Wild Robot deserves oscars just from their music alone, I really hope the Wild Robot will be nominated as best animaed movie this year. (Was beter than inside out 2)

My favourite DreamWorks movie is definitely Kung Fu Panda 2! I love everything about that movie. I love that Furious Five are constantly in the movie through the whole plot. Also, Shen is THE BEST DreamWorks villain and you can't change my mind. Unfortunately, in my country, Wild Robot comes in theatres on 27th September. I hope it's as good as reviews say it is. Reviews are saying it's the greatest DreamWorks movie ever, but you put it on 15th place, so I'm curious how good is it going to be.
I don’t count Megamind 2 and troll hunters as Dreamworks movie. If you remove those 2 and added chicken run 2 but still kept Orion and the dark and Jospeh king of dreams. I think it would be a great 50 list.
i can’t stress how much i agree with the troll hunters comments, the movie and series were really great but the ending kills it, they may have well made the ending ‘and it was all a dream’ because that’s how bad it was, overall great move and i’m glad it got attention! great list btw! although king fu panda 2 is imo the best king fu panda but otherwise i agree with pretty much everything

I mean I agree with most of your rankings but putting HTTYD 2 this high is honestly very strange in my opinion especially since you put it above Shrek 2, like I get this movie definitely should have won the Oscar for best animated film of the year instead of Big Hero 6, but still man Shrek 2, tells an amazing compelling story of this Ogre who is trying to live up to the expectations the world wants him to be, especially with that scene where he looks into Fiona’s diary and starts reading it repeatedly saying she wanted to marry Prince Charming all those years ago
@@andythatguy I do love the HTTYD Trilogy but like the main problem I have with it is mainly with Valka and Stoik like I didn’t really find Valka that much of an interesting character and I honestly don’t even see a reason why she was in the movie in the first place like if Hiccup just discovers the Alpha’s den not much would be different maybe he would try to communicate with him the same way he communicated with Toothless, and they didn’t even hype up Valka at all they literally mentioned her a total of two times before her big reveal, if they at least had Stoik and Gobber talk about how Hiccup is reminding Stoik of Valka that would have made that reveal scene make way more sense, and they should have just started the movie with the scene Valka is captured by the dragon so it would make more sense as to why she recognized him from his scar on his chin, which is also a cool detail that they had that scar in the first movie and then went back to it in this movie, I also wish we have more Valka and Stoik scenes so we could see how they were back then and get some more closer on Stoik before his death(still one of the most heartbreaking deaths in Dreamworks)
I see where you're coming from but I highly disagree. At its core HTTYD2 is about adolescence and how making more mature choices is a part of growing up. Hiccup learns that he can't protect everyone and Stoick's death was able to teach him that. This contrasts incredibly well with HTTYD1 and how Hiccup only wanted to protect Toothless. Valka holds much importance within HTTYD2 as she was able to make a safe-haven for all dragons; something Hiccup only ever dreamed about. Valka was also able to teach Hiccup that there are bad people in this world that are beyond reasoning, if she wasn't in the movie at all, the weight of that message would have only been carried by Stoick who didn't have nearly as much screentime with Hiccup in comparison to Valka. Together, both Valka and Stoick were able to make that message. Also I found Valka's regret with leaving Berk incredibly compelling. Especially considering how Stoick died immediately after she was able to apologise to Stoick and Hiccup for leaving. It made that moment when they burned Stoick to feel all the more powerful. On an unrelated note thank you for checking out and engaging with the video. It means a lot to me 🙏
definitely see what your saying and I respect it, and while this movie does have its flaws I still enjoy the movie very well, I liked the way they expanded the universe in this franchise, while I do wish we got more scenes with Hiccup and Astrid I feel that we got the right amount of them since we were mostly focused on Hiccup and his family, I also loved the beginning soundtrack with Toothless and Hiccup showing how far they have come in their friendship. Always good to get others opinions on good movies, I enjoyed this discussion. Also I glad you put Rise of the Guardians pretty high I would honestly consider this to be the most underrated Dreamworks movie I barely hear anyone talk about it
What i learned from watching 7 minutes of this video. You are a teenager that is very negative and cant see the likable thinks of a movie he doesn't enjoy as much as the others
Rise of the Titans is stupidly disappointing. I LOVE Trollhunters show though, easily one of my favorite shows of ALL TIME PERIOD. But Rise of the Titans? It sucks. 4/10 Edit If the ending had been better the movie could've been a 6.5-7/10 maybe but 7's kinda pushing it, I still thought the story and villains were way weaker than the main show Edit 2 In my honest opinion, Kung Fu Panda 2 is the best Kung Fu Panda followed somewhat closely by 1. 3 is pretty weak in comparison to 1 and 2 but still good. I haven't seen 4 yet. Also Puss in Boots 2 imo easily the best movie in this list, 10/10 Masterpiece.
After Megamind 2 and Kung Fu Panda 4, I now hate DreamWorks with all my heart! As well as both of their cringes, but I hate Kung Fu Panda 4 more because they humiliated the villains from the previous parts with their Chameleon, and then they dumped our crush Tai Lung, and put a stupid and cringe fox in his place, whom I hate! I watched this movie for Tai Lung, not for Po, I hate him too! In short, DreamWorks has problems with their heads and they need to be put in a mental hospital!
Gonna be frank, I would probably rank trollhunters rise of the titans a lot lower Like... its a 6/10 movie that only really is that because i like the action But uh... yeah really hate its bad parts
IMAO Madagascar 1 is the best and Madagascar 2 is the worst one. And it's REALLY overrated. Reasons why I don't like Madagascar 2. 1- It's a King Lion rip-off. 2- Makunga's a pathetic unfunny Scar wannabe. And a pretty shitty disappointing villain. 3- Such a done-to-death tired "son wants to be a performer while dad wants him to be a bruiser" cliche-y plot. How original it is... 4- Zuba's a major idiot who basically caused his own problems. Everything was honestly his fault, not Alex's. And he never gets recognized for it, neither apologizes in the ending. 5- Marty's unlikable in this movie, his plot with the zebras was so unnecessary, aimless and I did side with Alex over him. Their fight is so stupid compared to the first movie. 6- Numerous retcons and continuity errors (Melman's crush on Gloria not existing in the first movie, suddenly propping out of nowhere in this movie; Alex never danced before in the first movie too, and his birth mark wasn't there too. Just too much retcons for this sequel). 7- The worst of all is the plothole: the food chain- that was the most important thing in the first movie- was entirely forgotten in this sequel and never explained. Why lions never attack and eat other animals in this movie? Why predators and prey seem to be all amicable and friends, contrary to what was showed in the first movie??? MASSIVE PLOTHOLE. Nana, the Penguins, and MotoMoto save this movie for me, and are its redeeming qualities. Madagascar 1 and 3 aren't perfect either but are much better than 2 IMAO.
Madagascar can be the weakest Dreamworks franchise... but It's truly impressive as a rare case where the sequels are better than the original. Like, actually better, It's pretty rare.
Lesson of this video:
-Don't be greedy
-Listen to what fans want
-Don't make stupid plots and characters
Enjoyed this video so much and thought you had compelling reviews on each DreamWorks movie. Awesome work on this video. 👍

Also I glad you put Rise of the Guardians pretty high I would honestly consider this to be the most underrated Dreamworks movie I barely hear anyone talk about it
please make Pixar vid 🥺

@@cooldude_not I will find you
I would rank Home and The Bad Guys higher
What i learned from watching 7 minutes of this video. You are a teenager that is very negative and cant see the likable thinks of a movie he doesn't enjoy as much as the others
What music did you use for this video
Hey Lpking6! I have added all the links to the music used in this video down in the description! Thanks for checking out the video ✌️
helll nooo!!! captain underpants is the best dreamworks movie im not the type if guy to say this stuff but i will defend this movie with my life
Rise of the Titans is stupidly disappointing. I LOVE Trollhunters show though, easily one of my favorite shows of ALL TIME PERIOD. But Rise of the Titans? It sucks. 4/10
Edit
If the ending had been better the movie could've been a 6.5-7/10 maybe but 7's kinda pushing it, I still thought the story and villains were way weaker than the main show
Edit 2
In my honest opinion, Kung Fu Panda 2 is the best Kung Fu Panda followed somewhat closely by 1. 3 is pretty weak in comparison to 1 and 2 but still good. I haven't seen 4 yet. Also Puss in Boots 2 imo easily the best movie in this list, 10/10 Masterpiece.
I hate dreamworks but some of their movies I like
How dare you disrespect penguins of Madagascar🤬
It's his opinion
After Megamind 2 and Kung Fu Panda 4, I now hate DreamWorks with all my heart! As well as both of their cringes, but I hate Kung Fu Panda 4 more because they humiliated the villains from the previous parts with their Chameleon, and then they dumped our crush Tai Lung, and put a stupid and cringe fox in his place, whom I hate! I watched this movie for Tai Lung, not for Po, I hate him too! In short, DreamWorks has problems with their heads and they need to be put in a mental hospital!
Gonna be frank, I would probably rank trollhunters rise of the titans a lot lower
Like... its a 6/10 movie that only really is that because i like the action
But uh... yeah really hate its bad parts
Kung fu panda 2 is way better than the third
Madagascar can be the weakest Dreamworks franchise... but It's truly impressive as a rare case where the sequels are better than the original. Like, actually better, It's pretty rare.
Kung Fu Panda 3 is overrated and it is bad
It deserves C-Tier
