From everything I’ve read, The Prince of Egypt was originally intended to be DreamWorks’s first released movie. Antz wasn’t due for release for a few more months. But then Disney decided to move the release date of A Bug’s Life up to release before The Prince of Egypt to compete with it, which Pixar was REALLY not happy about because A Bug’s Life _wasn’t even finished yet._ DreamWorks got pissed and so they fast-tracked Antz so that it would release before A Bug’s Life’s new release date. Disney then got pissed and they decided to move the release date of A Bug’s Life _again_ to release before Antz. Unfortunately for Disney they ultimately had to keep to the second release date after Pixar made it abundantly clear that A Bug’s Life would NOT be done before the release of Antz. So that is why Antz is DreamWorks’s first released movie, but also why The Prince of Egypt is a LOT more polished than Antz.
Dreamworks should create more biblical movies akin to Prince of Egypt. I mean, everybody agrees that it is one of the best animated movies of all time.

Flushed Away is such an underrated movie and I just love it. The soundtrack is also great especially when Roddy first enters the city. Making it feel like it has a sense of wonder and amazement despite being in the literal sewers. I can't believe it took me becoming an adult to realize the entire plot was a giant toilet joke. That has to be good writing.

I actually really enjoyed Puss in Boots 1. Yeah, it wasn't the most innovative movie ever, but it also wasn't trying to be, and it does what it actually sets out to do really well. Which actually sounds like Puss in Boots 2 having the most predictable story ever but it was done so amazingly well that it works out perfectly.
Finally someone who gives Over the Hedge the recognition it deserves, I know it ain't a masterpiece, but if it ain't one of my most rewatched movies ever and adore it so much

51:20 The Bad Guys is yet again an awesome adaptation of a book, although it's got quite a few differences from the actual books it's still a good adaptation.
One of my all time favourite Dreamworks movie I'll love forever and ever has to be Kung Fu Panda 2. I remember watching it when I was a kid and the scene with Po's mom had me balling, and still to this day gets me to tear up. Shen was an amazingly well written character with his design and motive, and how the second movie has a darker undertone from the 1st. Overall it remains my favourite animation movie and probably my most favourite movie of all time.

You gotta love the fact that the "chi" ability Po uses in Kung Fu Panda 3 is QUITE LITERALLY dragon ball abilities. He truly had the power of manga, anime and netflix adaptations on his side.
Not gonna lie, I wasn’t excited when i was walking into the theater to watch The Last Wish. MAN were my expectations shattered (in a great way). At the end I was in SHOCK, it was so good. They did an amazing job.
I agree with mostly everything on this list, but how can you put Kung Fu Panda 2 in A-tier, but allow Kung Fu Panda 3 in S-Tier? Just kinda seems like a mix up if you ask me. Just swap those two and otherwise, seems like a pretty fair list to me for the most part. 👍

I think one of the main reasons why Flushed Away was 3D animated rather than stop-motion was because of a warehouse fire that burned down nearly a lot of Aardman's assets. They really couldn't make another stop-motion movie in that state.

How to Train your Dragon will forever be my favorite dreamworks movies. As a fantasy lover, this definitely gave me an attatchment to the dragons in the show, and dragons in general. I love the progression of Hiccup and Toothless as the movie goes by, so, i'd definitely reccomend watching!!!

I just finished watching,and I have to give Chaze props because making an hour long video about movies is insane .in my opinion the 3 months I’ve been waiting for was so worth it
I actually prefer DreamWorks over Pixar for the simple reason that DreamWorks are willing to take risks, and experiment to see what works and what doesn't, whereas a good chunk of Pixar films just follow the same safe formula
On point Dreamworks has more quality movies than Pixar does. Often Pixar usually gets more praise because back in the 2000s they had stellar production and animation versus the cartoony average Dreamworks movies at the time and Pixar up until about 2010 were great storytellers, with the exception of Cars.

A movie I think everyone forgets dreamworks produced is Trollhunters rise of Titans.. I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND SERIES SOOOO MUCH and it's completely forgotten by everyone. Though the movie itself (in my opinion) is awesome, the ending was sucky.. but I do recommend watching the show trilogies and the movie c:
If I had a nickle for every time Dreamworks created a pretty damn good movie in an incredible 2D art style with occasional 3D elements, a kind of anticlimactic ending and a love triangle that would've been improved if the writers had been brave enough to make it a throuple, (INHALE) I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

do you remember when Dreamworks used to do these "Double DVD Packs" where it would have 2 DVD cases housing the main movie and a bonus disc that would often contain a short film along with additional bonus features? for example, if you bought Shrek on DVD, you also get Shrek 3D alongside it. I can go on and on about all the bonus discs that Dreamworks used to do.
I like Spirit Untamed. Specifically, that scene where the dad says, "I am the Train", cause my cousin and little sister were watching it while I was nearby. We laughed our shit off at how bad that line was, and we brought it up multiple times after, and still remember it to this day. Also, the bad guy was literally buff John Marston

I was waiting for Over the hedge and as soon as I heard your opinion on it I was thrilled, I loved Over the Hedge as a kid and I am so glad someone has the same experience and thoughts on the movie.
I remember watching some of these movies. I watched Road to El Dorado during Middle School in class, Monsters vs Aliens was my childhood, and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit traumatized me with that transformation scene. And I watched Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken yesterday and loved it. I also watched all Shrek movies and ngl, I kinda liked the third one. And Madagascar and its Penguin spin-off were epic too. Anyway I made a tier list which I plan on releasing.

One of my all time favourite Dreamworks movie I'll love forever and ever has to be Kung Fu Panda 2. I remember watching it when I was a kid and the scene with Po's mom had me balling, and still to this day gets me to tear up. Shen was an amazingly well written character with his design and motive, and how the second movie has a darker undertone from the 1st. Overall it remains my favourite animation movie and probably my most favourite movie of all time.

I think one of the main reasons why Flushed Away was 3D animated rather than stop-motion was because of a warehouse fire that burned down nearly a lot of Aardman's assets. They really couldn't make another stop-motion movie in that state.

How to Train your Dragon will forever be my favorite dreamworks movies. As a fantasy lover, this definitely gave me an attatchment to the dragons in the show, and dragons in general. I love the progression of Hiccup and Toothless as the movie goes by, so, i'd definitely reccomend watching!!!

I actually prefer DreamWorks over Pixar for the simple reason that DreamWorks are willing to take risks, and experiment to see what works and what doesn't, whereas a good chunk of Pixar films just follow the same safe formula
On point Dreamworks has more quality movies than Pixar does. Often Pixar usually gets more praise because back in the 2000s they had stellar production and animation versus the cartoony average Dreamworks movies at the time and Pixar up until about 2010 were great storytellers, with the exception of Cars.

do you remember when Dreamworks used to do these "Double DVD Packs" where it would have 2 DVD cases housing the main movie and a bonus disc that would often contain a short film along with additional bonus features? for example, if you bought Shrek on DVD, you also get Shrek 3D alongside it. I can go on and on about all the bonus discs that Dreamworks used to do.

I watched Road to El Dorado during Middle School in class, Monsters vs Aliens was my childhood, and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit traumatized me with that transformation scene.
