I still stand by the fact that Mulan and Chang would be great together IF Disney had actually written their characters correctly in the sequel. And if the sequel never existed.

Honestly, it would’ve been so easy to fix the main issue with that movie with two alternate scenarios.
1: Confirm there still was an alliance at the end of the movie
2: Just make it strictly political and tradition for the marriage due to the daughters being royalty. That would completely justify Mulan’s resentment to the system, and not put lives in danger

Mulan II, I think is the worst sequel that Disney ever made. They completely, assassinated Mulan's character and everything that she stood and worked for in the original. Duty was everything to her in the original because she was doing it for her father since he was sick. I honestly, think the romance that bloomed between the two in the original could have worked in the sequel, if they hadn't assassinated her character and made Mushu the villain in the sequel. It just comes completely, out of nowhere. Hell, they even had the emperor's approval himself at the end when he told Shang, "You don't meet a girl like that every dynasty."

    • @GODZILLA2915
      @GODZILLA2915 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

Thinking about it now, I say it would be best for Mulan to be conflicted with both the idea and the sudden triple bloom of love for not just ‘follow your heart’ but also why this was the only way to join forces.
Both good commentary on political in general and have an interesting discussion with Chang about love, politics, and the difference between this marriage and her actions in the first movie.

One detail I love with Tarzan and Jane is Jane’s attire. When she arrives in the African jungle, she’s clearly not prepared, and wearing so many unnecessary accessories; like gloves and a skirt.
Slowly and surely, she starts stripping, which shows how adjusted she’s becoming with the jungle. Her England attire even comes back when she’s about to get back on the boat.

As an aroace person, I actually miss their romance too. They went from "love at first sight" like Snow White to Tangled's "a match made in heaven, but we both need to realize this for different reasons", then just sorta...quit shortly after. They were on a roll and put up their own barrier. It's nice to see shit like that. Just because I'm aroace doesn't mean I don't still feel the joy, the silliness, the closeness the characters do. It's so...desolate without the romance now. We need to learn to love one another again Disney. You guys used to be the trailblazers! Walk your own trails again and then make more!

Yea I agree man they should've done more with Tarzan and Jane they could've had a real sequel where some explorers or some crooked scientist tried to take over the jungle and the subplot being about Jane being pregnant and Tarzan questioning to himself what kind of a father he would be and Kala could give him some words of comfort and wisdom on how to be a good parent I could picture the end of the scene of Tarzan and Jane preparing to swing and Tarzan takes his newborn son and straps him to his chest and he and Jane swing together and their son is having a blast at all of it especially when Tarzan surfs on the tree branches.

    • @lifeisadrag7705
      @lifeisadrag7705 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

@@EliasValadez-pu1iq Not really? Because that wasn't supposed to be romantic in the beginning just Tarzan having complicated feelings about seeing someone who's just like him, not "ooga booga smexy woman." When they depart, it's like Tarzan and Jane parting with their other half basically, so to have Jane try to recreate the sensation, she realizes she's missing a part of herself with him on that island, like her glove because Tarzan is like her, and they share that bond.
Maybe I'm overanalyzing but idk- I don't want to assume that was a love at first sight kind of reaction because when he meets with Jane, he does the exact same things Kala had told him when she'd expressed that they were the same.

What sucked about Belle & the Beast in the other films is that Enchanted Christmas established that its events took place after Beast saved her from the wolves, and, if the bandage in his arm from not long after is any indication, possibly even after he gave her the library. So much for "I've never felt this way about anyone".

And before anyone says it, yes there’s a misunderstanding moment in one episode (one of the T&J episodes ironically) but that’s one moment, that honestly lasts about as long as Jasmine and Aladdin’s fight in the second movie (also couples having some fights isn’t a bad thing if done right) and there’s still many other moments that make up for it, such as Tarzan choosing saving Jane over saving himself, or Jane taking on a giant snake to save Tarzan and the rest of her family.

What is there to prefer about John Rolfe ? His sexism ? His boring personality ? The fact that he’s a whimp ? The fact that he only told Pocahontas she was beautiful when she was dressed like an English woman ? The fact that he didn’t even try to save her when she was literally about to die ? It’s also funny how you say Phoebus and Esmeralda were a healthier version of Pocahontas and John smith when Pocahontas and John smith while they weren’t perfect were way healthier than her and that cowardly whimp Rolfe. The worst thing smith did was call her and her people savages but once he realized how wrong his views were he immediately stopped and never did it again. Especially given Pocahontas and smith are more natural than her and Rolfe. Pocahontas from the first movie wouldn’t even like Rolfe as a friend because he’s basically the English version of kocoum so that alone proves she and smith are a better couple than her and Rolfe

I’m gonna defend Bernard and Bianca’s relationship in The Rescuers Down Under, (One of my favourites), as while they were the pretty standard good guy heroes in the previous film, here, they have a lot more personality, with Bianca getting more moments to shine in the rescue, along with her sincerely loving Bernard for who he is and never at any point tries to tear him down for his nervous demeanour or getting into danger, and Bernard, while he is nervous about proposing to her, the moment they find out about Cody’s kidnapping, he never makes the journey about himself or what he wants, he immediately prioritises helping Bianca the best he can even with Australia’s wildlife going fucking blood-hungry and trying to kill him at every opportunity, he always goes above and beyond to save Cody, because that’s what a true hero does. As for the love triangle, I never interpreted Jake as trying to steal Bianca away from him, while he did flirt with her on occasion, similar to Bernard, rather than selfishly steal her away from him, he knows he’s still got a mission to fulfil, genuinely cares about guiding and protecting the two from the outback, and when Bernard finally pops the question to Bianca, Jake just casually accepts it and congratulates Bernard for his bravery and lets the two be together. Also, your bit with the Prince kissing Snow White “Corpse because he’s into that” coupled with the spend up footage, nearly made me spit my tea out, I was laughing so hard!
And on a side note, I LOVE The Black Cauldron, especially the characters, and I didn’t see Taran and Elyonwy’s romance as straight up true love or toxic but more like a awkward teen/puppy love dynamic, yes, the movie has it’s flaws and the leads could’ve used more development, however, their relationship reminded me a lot of confusing crushes that many young kids go through both in real life and in fiction, where you like someone, but can’t fully express it properly, and at least Taran accepts Elonwyn’s help, she doesn’t look down on him for being a pig farmer, he does apologise whenever he goes too far, you can see growing respect and affection with them when they talk to each other, making for a cute couple in my opinion, but maybe instead of having Gurgi shove them into a kiss, I’d just have them blushing at each other, only for Elyonwyn to share a relived hug, which Taran reciprocates before they all head home. I’m not gonna be all Devil’s Advocate on every opposing opinion you have, but I still respect your thoughts on the films.

But Taron did have a character arc, by the end of the film he realizes that isn't a hero, that Gurgi is the hero, and he's just a kid. He could've held on to his boyhood dream of being a knight in shinning armor, but rather than getting cocky and taking credit for defeating the Horned King, he comes to understand just how shortsighted he had been. On some level he understands this early on, but when he steals the magic sword it only feeds his ego. By the end, however, he finally puts everything into perspective, and comes to know that if he's nothing without the sword, he doesn't deserve it. The moment he turns down the magic sword that he had once been so enamored with, and instead begs for Gurgi's life, is the culmination of his arc.

29:32 You "don't know anyone who likes Felix and Calhoun" and that's part of your argument? Are you joking? They're one of the most well-loved unconventional pairs out there, right up there with Gomez and Morticia and Jessie and James, and their exclusion from Ralph Breaks the Internet is one of the biggest things people hate about it. They even topped the list of healthiest Disney couples as ranked by actual relationship therapists, and they're frequently cited as an example of how to do a "gentle guy and tough lady" couple without making anyone too passive or too mean.
Where are you looking that you've never seen the fandom for them and for Wreck-It Ralph? They're all over Tumblr and artsy communities, you have to look outside of mainstream shitty social media for non-princess appreciation. I'm just astounded that you ranked them lower than couples who don't even have personalities, like the Disney princes who just show up in the last 5 minutes of a movie.

    • @TheRocketArchives
      @TheRocketArchives หลายเดือนก่อน +10

Also, the video neglects to mention that their relationship ties into character development for both of them and is important to the movie's theme of not judging people by their job/role. Felix learns from Calhoun that not everyone is programmed with an easy life like him (which also leads to him eventually understanding Ralph) and Calhoun opens up to Felix as the first person she's gotten close to after coming to terms with her backstory.
Plus, Felix and Calhoun dodge the overused path you see with prince/princess couples in that they don't spend the whole movie negging each other then suddenly fall in love at the end (and they don't just suddenly meet in the last few minutes of the film either).
They have conflicts yes, but they don't act like childish assholes to each other. They listen and take direction from each other as soon as Felix demonstrates to Calhoun that he's responsible for Ralph, just like she's responsible for the escaped cy-bug.

Hell, the whole reason these two were paired together was because the crew noticed they had chemistry and went for it, they're seriously an underrated couple in mainstream spaces (though that's mostly because Disney doesn't support Wreck-It Ralph very well and screwed over Rich Moore on the "sequel").

To be fair, the reason there wasn't a romance in Moana 2 is that Moana is a teenager and Maui is thousands of years old. And if you're thinking, "Why not write a new love interest?" the answer is that Disney didn't think a totally new character getting together with the protagonist would sell well. So they legit spent more time contemplating throwing her and Maui together than they did contemplating doing good writing. Shocking, I'm sure.

I will forever hate this stupid Tangled series for what it did to Flynn. Not only did they completely destroy his character, turning him into an arrogant, stupid, and utterly unlikeable person, but they also turned him into the constant punching bag of the show. Flynn, who was clever, witty, and charming in Tangled, has been reduced to a shadow of his former self. His arrogance in the movie was part of an act-a defense mechanism, something that made him endearing, not insufferable. But in the series? He’s just… off.
What frustrates me the most is how Flynn is constantly belittled, bullied, and treated like garbage by Cassandra and other characters, while Rapunzel stands by and does nothing. And when he dares to speak up, she’s the one who gets angry! She never defends him, even though he’s the one who’s being mistreated. Instead, she just takes him for granted, never even apologizing for the horrible things done to him.
She keeps secrets from him, draws his face on a punching bag just to please Cassandra, and never seems to feel guilty about it. She even uses time travel to literally change his personality when he dares to disagree with her, and she’s fine with that! And the worst part? She keeps rejecting his marriage proposals and repeatedly denies him the chance to be with her in any official, committed way. Marriage is apparently a prison to her, despite the fact that in the original movie, she was willing to give up everything to be with him!
Seriously, how does that make sense? How does it make sense that she was ready to give up her entire freedom for him in the movie, and now, after everything they’ve been through, she acts like marriage is the worst thing ever? It completely undermines the emotional weight of their love story in Tangled. In the movie, they were willing to risk everything for each other-so why would she suddenly think marriage is such a prison? It just makes no logical sense, and it sends a horrible message to kids about relationships and commitment.
And here’s what really gets me: if they loved each other so much in Tangled that they were willing to risk their lives for one another after just a few days, then they should have married right away. The time period they’re in-let’s face it-makes it entirely reasonable that they’d marry quickly. Back then, marriage was often the only way to be together, and they were clearly in love. Flynn proposes months after they meet-not a few days! And that’s a perfectly reasonable amount of time to get engaged, especially given the era.
But instead of honoring this established love story, they go down this ridiculous path in the series where Rapunzel questions her commitment to Flynn. She never truly values him in the same way he values her. She doesn’t see marriage as a commitment to the person she loves; she sees it as something that takes away her freedom. And that’s the worst message they could be sending, especially to young viewers.
Marriage isn’t a “prison” in real life-it’s a symbol of commitment and partnership. So why is the show framing it like it’s a burden? And why does Flynn have to be the one who constantly compromises and gives in to Rapunzel’s whims, while she never seems to care about his feelings?
It’s honestly unfair to Flynn. He deserves better than to be treated like a secondary character in his own love story. He deserves to have his feelings valued. He deserves a partner who is equally committed to him, who doesn’t repeatedly reject his offers of marriage. I mean, what man would put up with that in real life? If a man continuously rejected a woman’s proposal, and then acted like he didn’t even care about her needs, it would be called toxic and emotionally abusive. But for some reason, when the roles are reversed, it’s considered acceptable.
And yes, I understand that Rapunzel has her own trauma-but so does Flynn! He grew up unloved, alone in an orphanage and on the streets, and yet he still manages to treat Rapunzel with kindness, respect, and love. He didn’t let his past turn him into a cruel or selfish person. So why does she get a free pass while he’s treated like garbage? He didn’t deserve any of this, and it honestly makes me angry to think about.
There’s also the issue of Flynn’s entire character being destroyed. The man we saw in Tangled was a charming, witty, somewhat selfish rogue who grew into a devoted partner. But in the series, he’s just… dumbed down. His charisma is gone. He’s not even recognizable as the same person. He’s turned into a joke, and honestly, I refuse to believe that the Flynn in the series is the same character from the movie. I just can’t buy it.
What they did to Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure is heartbreaking. They ruined Flynn. They ruined the love story. And the worst part is they did it all for some misguided notion of “modern feminism” or to make a show more “progressive.” But they didn’t have to ruin what was already a beautiful love story. They didn’t have to destroy Flynn’s character to make some ridiculous point about independence or freedom.
And the final kicker? If I had to count the series as canon, I’d rather Flynn stayed dead at the end of the movie than suffer through this toxic, messed-up relationship dynamic. At least in the original movie, their love story felt pure and real, but the series just turned everything sour. It feels like a different universe.
So, I refuse to count it as canon. I will always prefer Tangled as the true continuation of their story, and the series? Well, it’s a mess I can’t even bother with. It just doesn’t fit.

Marriage is a big deal, and when you consider Rapunzel has been in a tower her whole life with no outside access. Marriage on paper might not seem like another cage, but if rushed it kinda could be for someone like Rapunzel.
And on a side note, that whole dummy thing for Cassandra was just something she was doing to make her friend feel better, and she explicitly stated she felt horrible while doing it.

im glad someone is talking abt tangled, especially abt rapunzel and eugene, I love how the initially came off as unlikely friends and legit end up getting married after years. I also like that fact that they took the time to understand each other, and then become fiancés. I just love that Disney made both shifted their focus on both the characters for the romance, coz usually in some cases, it feels like for every female lead there's a male character used as a device to make the story go forward. tangled feels organic and real, its like eugene and rapunzel actually stumbled upon each other and slowly grew and began to love one another and finding their new dream, each other :D the pacing for their romance is also really well done, from being trapped in a flooding cave, a spark of chemistry just ignited the flame and carried on their relationship. I could talk abt this for hours and hours but heh, I dont wanna burden wall lmao

In it Disney asked me to do an adaptation of the Princess and the Pea, I’d say I’ll do it if we make the movie hand drawn. They agreed and to make the love story believable there would be a theme of trying new things. The princess Dulce is a feisty girl and the first Disney princess to be chubby while the Pea (named Peyton) was a prince turned into a pea by a vicious witch named Hildera and was running away from a bird trying to eat him and Dulce saves him from the bird. And during their time together, Peyton helps Hildera try what the outside was like since she mostly stayed in the palace her whole life and try new things.

The biggest problem in Mulan II is that Mulan herself is even more out of character than Mushu, to be honest, probably the only characters they actually got right...ish in this God-awful sequel might be Jao, Ling and Chen-Po, and that's also questionable because yeah they were horny in fist movie but not "Let's sabotage our mission, doom China and get killed because of that." horny, but Mulan is the worse. The most obvious is the fact that while she wasn't thrilled with the idea of arranged marriage, she fully accepted it as part of her culture and was ready to go with it to bring her family honor, secondly, she was very determined to protect China, and Emperor, even when she really didn't have to after how she was treated, but she wanted to do it anyway, so she would never doom her country because she suddenly decided she dislikes the idea of arranged marriage, not to mention she was pretty mild in the first movie, at times tomboysh and outspoken but, mostly mild, and not in your face, and never behaved like giggly dumb, annoying Barbie, who is all about "true love, and follow your heart", I can sorta understand her awkwardness diminishing, but that big of a character change yeah, no. So this Mulan being bad for Shang I can totally, 100% agree, however, although their romance didn't manist until the end of first movie, I think OG Mulan and Shang complemented each other beautifully, and I then not only could be a great power couple, but also wonderful friends (my favorite kind of romance) who can understand and support each other, while bumping heads from time to time due differences in opinions (absolutely NOT like in the sequel, but for example I can see in dire situation Shang being more tactical, and cautious, especially after what happened to his father, while Mulan would be a bit more emotional in her decisions, and very "let's save everybody!", throwing catoun to the wind), and I wish so bad this was sequel that we got but alas.
Back in the day I kinda had an idea for fanfiction when I let a chunk of a sequel happen, to the point of an ambush, but the catch is that Mulan was replaced by her not-really-evil-but-very-misguided twin sister, who was kidnapped by Huns when she was a little girl, and was forced to marry one of the Huns, hands why her hatred for an arranged marriage, but I never got around to it, and real Mulan ended up in Hun village, which some other prisoners (the 3 princes who were meant to marry princesses among them), where she will get reunited with rest of the cast, but I never got around to it. Maybe someday.

Beauty and the Beast is not just my all-time favorite Disney animated movie, but it's my all-time favorite animated movie in general. It is the closest thing to being a perfect movie that only comes around once in a lifetime. I mean, it was the first animated movie to be nominated for best picture after all, and it definitely, has the greatest romance of all time and it drives me insane of how people still think that Belle suffers from Stockholm Syndrome. Which is not the case because she not only keeps her independence, but she sacrificed her own freedom for her fathers and the beast later on makes a huge sacrifice by letting Belle go to her father because it's in that moment where he finally learns to love. Even Emma Watson pointed this out for the live action remake when asked that question if rather or not, Belle suffered from the diagnosis.
Hell, there are people out there, who literally, think the movie is based in bestiality. Which is not the case because the beast, was not born a beast. He was literally, cursed into becoming a beast and had until his 21st birthday to find another to love him for who he is and learn to love her in return. Only then would the spell be broken. Hell, they don't even share their first kiss together until after he reverts back to his human self, and besides. It's not the beast that Belle falls in love with. It's the man inside that she falls in love with. She loves him for who he is, which is the whole morale of the story. That true beauty lies on the inside, not the outside.

The first movies are amazing even if I've haven't seen Mulan in DECADES), then yeah! Despite the point made about their character growth, idk. There's just something really adorable about Phoebus and Esmeralda that makes me a big softie for them. And also, we gotta thank Raisor for mentioning Asha and Aster even if they weren't ranked, because im like a little kid whenever At All Costs (the LOVE version) plays in the background because i ADORE this couple, even if they're not canon. Im also (Speaking of Wish) doing a second draft of the frst Wish rewrite i ever did, and its basically a final battle at the end, but the whole deal (essentially Tangled's, but its a resurrection/marriage deal as the only change, along with a crushed wish instead of cut hair) happens only because they got caught off guard with the main girl getting hurt badly which basically sends her boyfriend into a defensive rage, beating the ever-loving life out of the one who cut her, but she's able to calm him down, revealing that she healed herself and they're able to take a breather, but he soon realizes somethings wrong, does a whole plan to get her to safety, then spins and pushes her away that's far enough away for her to leave, but the impact sends him straight into a knife that was already prepared, and it causes himself to severely bleed, but keeps his eyes on her the whole time, and is even able to trek a few feet towards her before he falls into her arms just as she reaches him.

This was a pretty good ranking video. But I'm gonna say something that might sound a little biased. As good as some of Disney's romances are, I noticed that there's been a pattern when it comes to the weakest ones. Like, each time they bring characters back for the sequels, they've always had this bad habit of devolving their leads into carbon copies of their former selves and have them repeat the same mistakes and relearn the same lessons over again. That was always the issue with Disney sequels, whether they were direct-to-video or theatrical. Meanwhile, Pixar and DreamWorks have always had a near perfect track record when it comes to developing bonds and relationships between characters to the point where I find them more interesting than even the best Disney romances. When two ogres or two robots or two elementals have stronger connections with each other than two animals or two humans, you've already succeeded in crafting strong bonds.

I loved Disney’s Tangled for its beautiful portrayal of love and sacrifice between Rapunzel and Flynn. But Tangled: The Series took everything that made their relationship special and transformed it into a confusing, unrecognizable, and even toxic dynamic.
In the Tangled movie, Rapunzel and Flynn shared an immediate, selfless connection. They each sacrificed for one another, showing a true, deep love after just a few days-a connection that felt timeless and true. Flynn risked his life to protect her, and she was willing to give up her freedom, even if it meant living in a tower or going to prison with him for all eternity. This kind of commitment made them one of Disney’s most powerful couples.
But the series undoes so much of this. Flynn, who was clever, brave, and selfless, becomes almost a sidekick-often belittled and insulted by other characters, particularly Cassandra, while Rapunzel just stands by and says nothing. When he speaks his mind, she prioritizes Cassandra’s feelings, often disregarding Flynn’s own opinions, dreams, and even his proposal. It feels as if his desires don’t matter.
One of the most disappointing aspects is Rapunzel’s rejection of his proposal, suggesting that marriage is a trap, when in the movie, she was ready to sacrifice everything for Flynn. Her hesitation about marriage after months together, especially in a historical context where marriage was essential to truly be together, feels forced and out of character. Marriage in that time period was a commitment that allowed two people to share their lives without barriers. Rejecting it makes no sense for a princess in love and sends a confusing message.
The Way Tangled: The Series Undermines the Meaning of Love and Marriage
In Tangled, Rapunzel and Flynn showed they would do anything for each other after only days together. But in the series, Rapunzel hesitates about marriage even after months, treating it as a loss of “freedom” rather than a commitment. This completely shifts the message, making it seem like Flynn’s love-and marriage itself-is something to fear or resist. That hesitation can feel hurtful and unfair, as if Rapunzel only values Flynn when others are interested in him, which feels toxic and completely different from the pure, selfless love portrayed in the movie.
And if Disney wanted a couple to take things slowly, why use Rapunzel and Flynn, who are deeply in love and have risked everything for each other? Tangled showed a pure, meaningful connection-a couple who would want to be together forever. Seeing Rapunzel doubt this makes her character feel inconsistent with everything the movie established.
Historical Inaccuracy and the Harmful Message about Love and Respect
In the time period Tangled is set, marrying early was normal, especially for royalty. Tangled: The Series pushes the modern idea that marriage limits freedom, even though in the historical context of Tangled, marriage was a way for two people to officially build a life together. It’s not realistic to think a princess from this time would reject a proposal after months with the person she loves.
And this modern perspective of “marriage as a prison” makes it seem as if Rapunzel only wants the benefits of Flynn’s love without giving him the commitment he’s ready to make. What kind of message does that send to kids? If someone views marriage as a trap, it implies they’re not fully in love or looking for a way out, which isn’t fair to Flynn’s character or to the original fairy tale.
Rapunzel was supposed to be a symbol of love, freedom, and loyalty, but this series paints her as someone indecisive and self-centered, leaving Flynn to constantly compromise without her doing the same.
      Conclusion
In Tangled, Rapunzel and Flynn’s love is timeless and committed. Tangled: The Series undermines their bond, turning Flynn into a character who constantly has to prove himself, and makes Rapunzel seem selfish and dismissive. The entire series feels incompatible with the movie’s message of love and commitment. I wish Disney hadn’t changed their story so drastically just to add “modern” drama. For me, I’ll always see the movie as canon and this series as something else entirely.

I liked the ranking but as for dinosaur the had a production that lasted 12 years and I am going to talk about it here so here go.
The development of dinosaur began in 1987 when robocop wrapped up production. Three workers talked about how there are less good movies and one person who chimed in the conversation suggested a dinosaur movie that man was phil tippet. Tippet worked on the screenplay a year after robocop in 1988 he pitched it to disney who accepted the project. Tippets original draft was very different from the final movie, it going to be about a herd of styrakosaurus traveling across a barren Wasteland with a small mammal as a companion then at the end a t rex appeared and fight one of the ceratopians and the plant eater win but at end of the battle the asteroid hits leaving the mammals as the only survivers. It also was going to be in stop motion and have no dialog this will be important later. It was going to be released under Disney's now diffunct division Hollywood pictures but this was when troubles started and these were what happened 1. Jeffrey katzenburg had the buget dropped 2. There was tension between tippet and the executives. The executives wanted a cute movie with singing dinosaurs tippet didn't want that and when he approached katzenburg and said that this isn't the movie he wanted to make, katzenburg and other executives said okay bye. Tippet was then banned from dolby drive for five years until Jeffrey left. Other people who wanted to makethe movie were resigned to other projects and new ones were brought on board to make the movie but they wanted to do tippets version but a changes were considered with this new team the dinosaurs now had names and the mammals would be played by people in costumes and auditions were being held but then everything came to a halt in 1993 when jurassic park it theaters. When jurassic park was in theaters the movie was delayed but it did inspire them to switch from stop motion and costumes to computer animation then Three changes were made that made it to the final movie 1. The main dinosaur was changed from a sturakosaurus to inguanadon because their more horse like appearance were easier to animate 2. The mammals became Lemurs because mesozoic mammals were not very appealing to look at 3. The main antagonist was changed from t rex to carnoturus because t rex was overused. And new team was hired to work on it. Three drafts were made with this team the first had a more biblical theme about a iguanadon named noah who had powers to see the future. The second was about to iguanadon brother who get separated from eachother one is raised by the Lemurs. The final draft was the one that became the movie and the reason why dinosaurs talk was because of the executives and when it came to molding they added lips to the iguanadons to give them personality but one producer said that the idea of talking dinosaurs was so disliked amog the crew that some were willing to left if the dinosaurs were going sing. Then came another setback and crew member killed and another severely burn when a boomic it a telephone poll. What resulted was a big lawsuit by the injured and the deceaseds family and they won the case. it finally released in 2000 after years of development hell
