      @@yaakovbelfer1698 well for me, I don't really look up videos about addiction or gambling. I do however think about sharing my story and experience online in case it could help others. But idk why youtube seemingly made this video suggestion which is actually something I AM interested in. But how did it know something I am only peripherally aware of being interested in. Part of life is weeding out the things that are dragging you down or compromising your happiness. I liked this video and I hope you win this fight as gambling tends to be your kryptonite.
    But don't feel alone! My battle was with cigarettes. I started at age 16 and by the time I was 31 I had quit and restarted smoking 5 or 6 times. I disliked how I was unable to save money and often felt winded from walking up the stairs. One day I decided that enough was enough. I quit soon thereafter. I've been 13 years without a butt and run regularly.

    Even if you've got all the money in the world, gambling can take the last penny out of you. The hunger of the gambling industry will never die. The day you forfeit the thought of winning you're in the right direction to give up. I was an addict of 15 years but my last bet was a win. That was 6 years ago. I haven't gambled a single penny since.

You get in place where you feel exited and the high of almost winning of course no different than taking a drug. hey brother, i was once in a situation like yours.. i found the best way to overcome gambling is reading the bible and praying everyday and memorising some scripture. i used to gamble my pay every week and tell the mrs that some payment came out of my account and used to lie to her every week. it was a tough time so we ended up losing everything due to gambling. now by the grace of God we are fine and I've stopped gambling well not really but I've chosen a few games that take abit of skill to play like poker. and always take what your gonna lose and never your whole bankroll. God bless bro

      @Mav685. ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yaakovbelfer1698 daymn umm you need a new mindset.. im not sure what games you play and what risks you take but think to yourself why you doing it? And does it actually help you in whatever you trying to achieve in life? Coz if you're gambling for the fun of it then losing is what will always happen.. the devil likes to lure you in give you some hope with a little win big win here and there only to keep you in the loop then only to lose it all and laugh at you in the end while you try and recover.. dont fall for it bro.. if what you playing requires abit of skill or mathematical advantage then yeah go for it but if its playing pokies or playing lottery then give it up bro.. my mrs holds all funds and she only gives me my buyins for poker and a few dollars for a drink or feed. That stops me from putting any funds into anything else.. God bless

    After watching a few of these gambling addiction videos, I feel like I never want to step inside a casino again. I'm not a gambler and have never had a gambling problem, but casinos appear to have this beautiful facade, but behind it is misery, manipulation, and addiction. When I'm in a casino, I marvel at how many willingly sit and gamble on the slot machines. Today I learned a term called "rent seeking" and casinos by their very nature fit the definition.

      Not good advice ,as a former gambling addict myself when you place a bet your brain releases a chemical called dopamine it is this that we crave ,you unfortunately develop a tolerance to the size of the bet so over time the bets get bigger to create the same dopamine release ,in my opinion the most effective way is to abstain completely surround yourself with friends who don’t gamble and replace the gambling with another activity that is less damaging but gives you a natural high ,mine was exercise in the gym

      Don't really think that's the best way about addressing matters but I understand and feel for your situation . People in the twelve step program are some of the best people on earth . They've had to work on themselves to be a better person which people don't necessarily do throughout their lives if they aren't forced to. As a result you have some of the most loyal honest trusting people who are in recovery . However yes addiction is awful and can tear apart families if left untreated. On the flip side if dealt with successfully than it provides the chance to have family love, understanding, compassion etc more than a regular family otherwise would. Anyways hopefuly you have moved on and wish you all the best
