Surely we have to get to the root of this problem which is the grooming of our young people by the betting companies. They spend millions on advertising at sports events to get you to sign up and then once you are in, bombard you with offers of special bets. The misery and the number of ruined lives caused by gambling addiction is massive. The football clubs say they need to revenue from gambling advertising to pay the high wages demanded by players. So ultimately it is the players that are responsible for the misery and death of those people who get sucked into gambling.

Don't gamble, just invest. It's can be much more lucrative and people will think you're smart and not a degenerate fool. You also can actually get an edge that isn't determined by luck. Have to be a lot more patient though. Keep in mind I said invest, not trade. Trading is much more near to gambling. Don't trade unless you are ready to completely devote your life to it. I used to be deep in gambling myself I lost everything until I met a guy that introduced me to FX trading
@@thomasmcglone754 please help me sir. What is FX trading
@@evabrown2035 foreign exchange. similar to stocks
@@thomasmcglone754 take your advertising elsewhere,, shit head
Surely we have to get to the root of this problem which is the grooming of our young people by the betting companies. They spend millions on advertising at sports events to get you to sign up and then once you are in, bombard you with offers of special bets. The misery and the number of ruined lives caused by gambling addiction is massive. The football clubs say they need to revenue from gambling advertising to pay the high wages demanded by players. So ultimately it is the players that are responsible for the misery and death of those people who get sucked into gambling.
the ironic thing about bookies is they lure you in but if you started being successful they would refuse your bets..they only want losing punters
never thought of it that way, the players should be speaking out about this evil they are involved in without realising
2 corporations in charge of sport are Alcohol and Betting/gambling. The addiction on these are as powerful as Heroin addict. Yet this is allowed.
Saying it’s the players fault for death is insane and incorrect.
I wonder if redirecting a gambling addiction towards stock market trading would be less risky but still creates a sense of the same in a healthier way
Bet on yourself for a change.
or bet faster horses??
Well said
I was up 350k and now down 100k it’s a horrible addiction

How did you get up to 350k
@@Slidehhy shorted the piss out of AAPL using put options. Went from 20k to 500k in 2022 shorting TSLA, NIO, AAPL, AMZN using puts.
I covered at 130 and stupidly re-entered my puts on a rising wedge when it hit 138....was targeting a 130 retrace for a fib retrace but it never retraced to my target and ended up averaging down on my puts and lost it all.
Stopping gambling doesn't make the debts disappear surely
yeah but stopping gambling makes sure the debts don't increase.

Well, start up something more productive, invest and earn $5,000 weekly trading in the stock market and forex market.
Call me please 07983 603599
if you are that rich then start investing on stocks orreits, and use the dividends for gambling so you can afford it if you can't stop it. . The money you earn from your work, use that only for your family, nothing else.
they you arent really rich if 8K hurt you.. give your child up for adoption
I loss $25,000 within 3 months. Now I'm struggling in life. I've earned that money for more than 1 year. I don't know what I'm going to do now. I'm at the peak of my depression. 😔
Just Do everything to stop n don't look back with time that lost will feel smaller. The day you stop is the day you start recovering. Trust I lost heaps. But let go
You lost the money but not your life. Look at the other people who got it worse, they are trying and you should do too. Think of KFC, he's that old before getting successful, you are still young, there are a lot more opportunities out there.
Trading and investing in stock has been more efficient.
how are you doing now?

Don't gamble, just invest. It's can be much more lucrative and people will think you're smart and not a degenerate fool. You also can actually get an edge that isn't determined by luck. Have to be a lot more patient though. Keep in mind I said invest, not trade. Trading is much more near to gambling. Don't trade unless you are ready to completely devote your life to it. Even then you're probably not going to profit.

What's with the pretty, happy/insprational music playing behind this story? It's sending the wrong message completely.
Hi, we tried to choose something that reflected the fact that Joe was able to recover from his addiction problems once he got help, and is now in a position to speak out and help others.
You have to turn to God. That’s what I did. I literally cried to God in the middle of the night and then suddenly, I got an urge to read the Quran on daily basis.
After one week reading the Quran, I found an immense hate in my heart for the casino and everything inside it. Im shocked that God has answered my prayer because I gambled for 2 years and realized I was losing too much money to the point I was waiting for my paycheck. So yeah I’m thankful I have control of my life back and all gratitude belongs to God.
Religion will help us ❤ god bless
It’s hard too stop I been gambling over 10 yrs lost over 100k for sure , day by day I gotta stop , 1st thing erase my gambling app , next call the casinos and tell them to kick me out for life lol that will help

90% of gamblers quit before hitting big
Wrong
There is bookies every corner every way you go so the government must do something about this. If government told you something about this then they’ll be billions and millions of people like us suffering constantly.
I’m a gambler deep in my soul! “ All our life is a kind of game “ 😉
i am a pro punter (horses) but it's a tough old game....most fail because they don't have the ability and even if you have the ability you need the right temperament which few possess...

Believe it or not I am up over 1 million lifetime between sports, poker and stocks.. That was my life goal and I accomplished this last year. the problem is I told myself i was going to quit after reaching this and I still haven't been able to go cold turkey. I don't like having a very good idea of how a sports game will turn out, but not being able to place a wager.
I don't care about poker and stocks, those are easy to quit...
I can't gamble man... ans I won't. I have a wife and a daughter, they are my shield. I stopped in time, lost only 100-200 EUR

for all the people out there saying that they cant control themselves, what do you mean you cant control yourself? learn to control your mind and snap out of it. you can see that it clearly doesnt work so why are u continuing to do it? control your mind tell yourself to stop. i also went through the same stage and controlled my mind so i stopped, started a business and im now making 5k a month as a 19 year old. you cant control the weather or anything else. you cant even control whether your heart stops beating u could have a heart attack tomorrow. the only thing you have control over is your mind. so use it, change yourself and control yourself and fix your brain.
