Some recent sales of these legends commons sold for about $135 in psa 10 condition and listings in the 50-100 range for the 9's. Rudy has enough money to buy up all the rare arabian nights and legends rare's on the market but he chooses not to because he is a gentle kind ruler. Thank you Papa Rudy ^_^
In fact, Rudy, artifacts were never common until Mirrodin, WOTC thought that being colorless is already a huge advantage so they made them harder to get and underpowered in many cases.
Untrue! Antiquities had common artifacts - Amulet of Kroog, ornithopter, Grapeshot Catapult, Dragon Engine, etc. Though these rarities carried into reprints (mostly; Dragon Engine was a rare in 4th/rev, ornithopter an Uncommon) artifacts *did* stay in the Uncommon-Rare slots... until *Homelands* - Roterothopter, the clockworks, serrated arrows, and Ebony Rhino were all common. Alliances had several as well, such as Soldevi Steam beast and the Phyrexian War Engine. Weatherlight and Tempest had a handful as well (Metallic Sliver and Lotus Petals being obvious examples) And - just to be completest - while TECHNICALLY it was a U3 rarity, Arabian Nights' Brass Man was exactly as common as the dark mana symbol commons and mountain (C1).
*BUT* as pertains to Legends; Yes, all uncommon+Rare (Relic Barrier and Life Chisel, technically U2, but still uncommon)

These came from a time traveler. Returned to 90's, bought bunch of Legends boxes, took out high valued cards, returned back to current time, saw Rudy, and ships all these cards to him. That's the story.

The amount of cards in that condition is truly special. I wish I could find deals like this, lol.
"I'm assuming they're all common cards of no value." Meanwhile, I check Sylvan Paradise as of December 2021 and see that it's going for between $8 and $12 on eBay. Yeah, it may be common or uncommon, but apparently there are people still interested in collectibles. Never underestimate the power of emotion. Rudy made a bundle off this purchase.

This brings back a lot of memories. It surprises me that you aren't as familiar with Legends Commons and Uncommons. Those friggin Landwalk enchantments and mass color change cards were the bane of young NLTAG's pack opening origins.
As a guy with a very small amount of Legends cards (50ish), I loved this video, seeing so many copies of some of the cooler old cards I have. Man I miss walls too. I think it's why I keep the Walls of Hope in my Selesnya deck.

I started right when Unlimited and Arabian came out. I think I started around Christmas that year or maybe Jan 94. I'm working on a deal to sell to Rudy now since he's not too far a drive away.
Rudy, if you didn't know the Rathi Berserkers you have are actually Ærathi Berserkers. The printer was unable to print the diphthong in the card name and just left the Æ out.

The artwork is absolutely amazing. But the context just makes it so much better. Taco went full meaty.

You bet the clerk at the magic shop watched you sift those binders as you apologized for needed to grab another binder, secretly just wanting to almost touch the cards, but that's a secret.

This is my favorite magic video right now, can't stop watching this.
Someone recently pulled all of the money cards out(including the only two money commons Darkness, which only recently became money, and Chain Lightning), saw that their original box looked half empty now because of the missing cards, and shoved the rest of the bulk $1 and less commons and uncommons into the nearest boxes they had.
I was going to suggest user CCGHouse on TCGPlayer, but they also have lots of cheaper Legends commons for sale, along with the only seller selling large amounts of Darkness and Chain Lightning. They were probably sold off immediately following the picking-over of the boxes, around (SPOILER ALERT) the Oath set release.

Ant Sparaco facts. It’s a common mistake though.
First off, there are no commons on the reserved list, period. Second, seven uncommon stars are on the uncommon sheet twice. Third, there was a widely known packaging error in which a box (in most cases) only had half the available uncommons. They are known as "a" and"b" boxes and you can find the full list online... many people when cracking boxes consult it. Crack one pack, know what you might get in the others! And Karakas and Mana Drain, they are in separate boxes.

I basically do this with every set. I buy a box of it, and a fat pack. Open them up, look at the cards, pull out some to help build decks, and put them all in the fat pack to be stored away. Maybe my cards will look like this later on in life. :)
With all those cards, it is amazing to see the difference in color in a single card.

That's how I used to do my extras. Got me a bump if I traded in commons as they were already sorted and easy to put straight into stock :)

Those are bulk duplicates that you can buy at a shop/Ebay/Amazon for $15 per 1000 "Assorted" Old Common/Uncommon Cards. They promise minor duplicates but its always a bunch of them. None of them are ever worth much.
pretty much every card in that is a quarter. pretty fun but there is only like 10 commons in legends that are worth more then a buck, havent seen many in the collection, still thou dude, i started playing in 94 and this vid made me happy thinking about the old days playing those cards.
There are tons of Uncommons in there. Basically the piles that had around 50 cards are C2, the piles around 25 are C1, and the piles of around 10 are Uncommons. Unfortunately, all cards worth anything have been removed, even the commons like Chain Lightning, Darkness, Avoid Fate, Kobolds of Kher Keep, etc.
I like how he says he hates when people flick the cards down onto the table and it messes them up... yet he's flicking them down onto the glass @ 10:00 mins in :(

that was an awesome video to see. I remember helping friends do this back with Mirage and the Odyssey block, fun times. I only bought boxes 3 times in my life, Champions of Kamagawa, Original Ravnica, and I want to say Tempest

I am not surprised by the condition, i bought a box of legends. Opened it put it in a sleeve folder and never played with them. They are all still in mint condition. Although i didn't get Moat or Tabernacle. I did get some other rares like Mirror Universe, Invoke Prejudice, Neither Void, The Abyss, as well as tons of other rare cards. Not sure if i should sell them now or wait till later? I haven't bought anymore since the Ice Age Expansion sets.

I recently went through the same oddity, huge force of will lot, over 15,000 cards, binders and boxes just thrown in a huge home depot shipping box, with absolutely no packaging, box came all smashed up, cards sloshed around, shit flew out of binders and all over the box. Post Office noted it was way below weight that was paid for but got it to me anyway, looked like it went through ever possible scan through the shipping routes with stickers off review all over it. Never seen anything like it and a lot of the cards did get damaged due to the stupidity of not wrapping shit up in bubble wrap. That said I paid a ridiculous cheap price for it so I let it slide and the value still out weighed the damage by a long shot.
It boggles my mind why anyone would think it is ok to ship that way. Do they think the box stays upright and everyone handles it with care? No this shit gets thrown around all the time.
I have seen people just dump 10,000+ commons in a box and just ship.
Dont forget the metal gates for the front. My LGS was involved in a smash and grab last night. They cleared out all the magic and pokemon.

If your selling on eBay for 99 cents, after eBay's fee, PayPal 2.9% and $0.30, and $0.49 for shipping - you can only be making 10-20 cents per transaction. How is that even worth it? You should make a video explaining that.
