Not all uganda baby,, ts mostly in central for us me grow knowing swt yellow bananas or swt potatoes,, some places cassava refused to grow well,,,

I love cassava (yucca). I try to fry some a few times a month. However, people should not eat cassava raw, because it contains naturally occurring forms of cyanide, which are toxic to ingest. Soaking and cooking cassava makes these compounds harmless. Eating raw or incorrectly prepared cassava can lead to severe side effects.
Yes we know this...we also know that eating a small piece of RAW cassava cures diarrhoea or an upset stomach. All our grandmas know this and gave it to us when growing up. Our Cassava is also different from the South American one although same family. Our cassava is also used when making PARACETAMOL
