Not sure if it's helpful, but I used solder paste and some flux to remove this with 'reasonable' ease and surprisingly little tidy up. I specifically thought to come back here and report on whether it was worth considering or not. Keep up the good work.
Thanks bud, hopefully you get it working. I have some other switch repairs on the channel too and also a different one which I need to edit when I get time. A heads up would be look into the M92T36, P13USB and BQ24193 chips for no power issues
@@jasondoesthings919 I don't think I've ever had it personally but it certainly does go bad from time to time, usually from liquid damage or a surge though. Are you getting a blue screen or is it just not turning on at all? Also did you try a known good battery in it and hook it to an amp meter to see what kind of power is going in? Also be sure to check the tiny fuse just above the port too :)
@@TheCod3r I get nothing for power with the amp meter or with a good battery and there are no shorts, that I can find. It does tell the charge it want 15 volts.
Great i was just doing a Nintendo switch lite and I did a lot of things and I forgot to check the LCD connector I found out after I check the voltage and was getting only 3.57 V coming from the backlight I even replaced the LCD digitizer and same thing I was like what and later after an hour I was like wait let me check the lcd FPC connector and boom 3 pin inside where bend I was like ahhh are you serious so I’m waiting for the connector but I’m 100% sure I will show image I’m going to try to make a video when fixing
Just found your videos I changed a usb charger it was intermittent charging so it was the usb. But now it’s not charging at all my coil is open circuit I haven’t got another to check. Please can someone check if the coil should be shorted. Thanks.
Thanks bud, really appreciate the kind words. I actually brought my microscope from a friend who used it once before realising he couldn't solder 🤣 the scope i have though is an AmScope SM-4B 7x-45x stereo scope, though I will be upgrading to a trinocular scope next year. There is a link in all the video descriptions to all the important equipment I use so you should be able to find the exact one I have right now 😃
I messed up smh i didnt get the connector off and im using sticky flix and it got into the fan connector and broke the thing to keep the ribbon cable secure im so bad lol
I do need to get an overhead cam but I have got a proper tripod now. The only problem is sometimes it's hard to get the right angles I need to show what I'm doing. Sorry bud

hello, a small hint from me: kapton tape absorbs heat, aluminiumfoil tape reflects it :)

Thanks mate, yeah I've heard of some people trying it but I've never personally tried, I'll have to give that a shot lol
No nand ! love it . so easy to miss.
What temperature are you applying from The bottom?

@@jasondoesthings919 do you get any voltage both ends of the fuse by the charge port? If so you'll likely have an issue with the m92t36 chip
What could it be, my switch displays the nintendo logo then goes into black screen, but you could hear the noise any suggestions
How would I send you a Nintendo switch direct, doesn't charge & looks like charge port needs changing? a rougth idea of cost would be nice.
Where can I order this connection. I need to preform this repair asap
I was screeming onto screen you didn't connect emmc module.

Is the lcd ribbon cable replaceable ?
No unfortunately you will have to replace the entire LCD
@@TheCod3r Thank you for making time to answer.
Loving your work
Thanks very much
what temperature you using
Typically for a Nintendo switch I use 420⁰C
how many pins is that lcd connector and pitch..
61pin 0.3mm?
I'm not sure if I'm honest I've never counted them but you can buy them from ebay just searching "Nintendo switch lcd connector" or on aliexpress too
