First
Ehhh nice
@@TheCod3r dam it we slow
Really great video Phil! Bummer about that BSOD.
Thanks Steve, I'll be doing a follow up next week to these. The BSOD likely has torn traces under the CPU to be honest
the revisit for the BSOD Am looking forward to that reball great job on the frist one phil
Thanks bud, I think I'll be filming that either today or tomorrow ;)
Ah man. That first one was a rollercoaster almost there and not much left to go. That LCD ribbon was a mess, was that from a bad job on the previous repair?
Looking forward to the reball on the second one, things like that blow my mind on how detailed you can get. Way beyond me.
Awesome as always. 👍👍
Thanks buddy. The damage will be the ribbon getting burnt by shorting out because of liquid damage. Usually you can just clean it off but sometimes it burns the cable
@@TheCod3r didn't know it would burn like that. Got fix even if the plastic got toasted. It worked and got it up and running way beyond most others would have done.
@@GoodwinsPlace it always has corrosion I've found. you can actually shorten the cable with a Dremel but it's tricky.
good work Phil x
Nice video again Phil, i really like the way you stay thinking in solutions not problems. You analyse and almost instantly think of a way to fix the problems. Great way to fix the ribbon by using a jumperwire 👍🏻 hope that reballing the cpu or ram will fix the second switch as well.
Looking forward to the next video for the BSOD. Hope you get it workig!
Great fix…the revisit for the BSOD Am looking forward to that reball
If you pressed down on a ram chip for the BSOD and the screen showed the Nintendo symbol, would that mean you need to reball that chip?
Great video mate.i didn't get to watch it properly before when it was premiered.hope you can fix the bsod I always wondered if it was possible to fix it or not.
You can actually remove the back light from the lcd with a bit heat and plastic tools. Then you can use the back light from a switch with broken lcd for example
Yeah I do that myself sometimes by splitting the screen and replacing just the back-light:)
You can reset the parental controls on the Nintendo website easily
Great video man,thanks
Again a nice video Phil. Unfortunately we cannot fix all 😔
Absolutely fantastic video mate very interesting indeed
nice job as always!
Hi mate, really like your content. Question had a charging port repaired on a switch, charges ok but can't connect to TV no,was told by supposedly engineer that once charging port is replaced on switch you lose ability to connect to TV. Can you help. Thanks
Thank You.
waiting for the reball video my friend
Definitely coming next week mate
Can you not get a MKEY for switch?
Hi Mate,
Hope to see more videos like this, keep up the content as they are great.
Have a question concerning some nintendo switch problems, did you encounter any problems when you repair a switch, you boot up normaly but when you charge the switch you will get a X sign near the battery icon on the switch and a msg saying it can not charge.
What is the problem or what can be the problem with this?
Thanks Mate.
Usually that's an issue with M92T36 not negotiating proper voltage with the power source. It's usually a power cable issue so maybe try a different charger. If not it could have a board issue but it would be hard to say what without seeing it
@@TheCod3r Thank you mate.Have a good one.
Got a Xbox related question, power issue, started out where I’d power it on it would almost instantly turn back off but if I clicked the power on a few times it would stay on, worked for months then now no power at all, power supply ruled out began testing, all mofsets measured good proceeded to measure the cylinder shaped 2.5 resistors and 3 test bad at 175ohm’s and one other at 66 ohms but want to verify I’m not missing something here and that it is normal and I can’t find anywhere on here where you’ve genuinely found a bad resistor especially this many, is my testing correct and they are bad or possibly something else
My Mate Vince knows how to remove Parental Control. He can help you to reset it
Hi there @TheCod3r, I have a random issue with my Nintendo Switch (Original) I've not come across before. If I leave the battery on charge over night or if I properly shut it down it won't boot unless I remove the battery and re-plug it in. It all works fine otherwise and no overheating issues. As I forget once every week or so about it I only leave 5 screws in that I need to take out to get to the battery. If it's something simple I'd like to sort it or at least find the area I should be looking at to find a component that ain't 100%. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated. The only thing I ever did with it was put a new battery inside of it but that still holds a charge properly and doesn't get hot whilst on charge or whilst gaming. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out.
By any chance was it a 3rd party battery? It sounds like it might be going into sleep mode (the battery that is). I've seen a few issues with 3rd party batteries so that could be the cause
You’re evil for using brown font with the text in that thumbnail 😂
Racist 😂😂😂
I saw bluescreen fixes by reflowing the RAM and not the CPU
Yeah the ram can cause it but that's rarely the case
Great video ☺️☺️☺️
