thanks for watching! xo
I love your channel Chelsea, this is the only NYC living channel that doesn’t give off the influencer vibe. Ive considered transferring to NYC in a year or two and your channel has been the most helpful in giving an accurate picture of living there including the bad (which is the honesty people need to hear)!
this is so nice, thank you
Couldn’t agree more ❤
I agree I love how real everything is, I don’t watch influencers tbh most of the ones I have watched depress me lol 😆 is true. But I feel the opposite in this videos I prefer truthfulnesses always and not at at all sugar coated videos or material. Love this channel 🙂
❤
Agreed 👏🏻👏🏻
I love watching your videos, Chelsea. I'm 31 on the other side of the world. It feels comforting to know that someone thousands of miles away share the same sentiments. The detachment, anxiety, sadness, excitement, and joy of normal daily life.
CS Lewis said that we read to know we are not alone. That's what you make me feel - not alone. Thank you so much.
❤
same, I live in california alone as a 31 year old and it's nice to know that someone else out here has the same feelings!
These videos are so refreshing. Thank you for being so transparent and honest.
She is the most related girl in this TH-cam fr 🤍🥹
Solo weekends are underrated (at least by the people I’m around) I love my solo Saturdays
Hey Darlin...I have a few guitars and I noticed that you move yours from couch to bed. Here's a cheap hack...go to the nearest Lowes/home depot or Walmart and get those bicycle hooks. They also have the big hooks shaped like a Y. They should have a protective plastic coating. Screw those babies in the wall and hang your guitar up on the wall. Hang it lower by the couch or bed for easy access. It's ingenious and cheaper than a guitar stand. Also helps you to not knock it out of tune by moving it. Much ❤️ love keep up the good work! Love your videos
When I was 31, it was the best year I have had up until now I think.
At 28 and 29 I was afraid that I will be 30 soon, 30 was afraid that I might get really old from one day to the next, but 31 was perfect. I didn't give a sheeesh anymore and I felt the best ever. Eversince then I'm not sure why someone would wanna go back to their twenties....
the 20s were so tumultuous!
I just turned 30 and I can't seem to make peace with it. Thank you for sharing this.❤
girl I'm 29 and living alone and this reminds me of my life SO much.. thanks for documenting and sharing!
Omigosh.....at the end, her french toast dress; her "mitch mcconnell moment; then the french toast making her sleepy.......this remarkable video just made my rotten Thursday a LOT less rotten !!
I'm sorry that you're feeling so run down. Marathon training can take its toll. Whenever I'm running a lot and I start to get that run down feeling, I find it's typically diet related and not getting enough protein. Make sure you are eating enough!! I'm glad you're taking some time to rest and recover.
Your body will thank you ❤
My addiction to coffee is so real. I can't get through a single day without it. Without my dose of caffeine, I get a headache and become irritable and lethargic. I'm also not changing that because coffee makes me so happy :D
Chelsea you still haven’t taken out the garbage from your last clean with me video! Get on it girl - I know that will help you feel better! Messy room messy mind….Keeping a clean organized room really helps with mood and well being. 😊 0:01 I am always wishing you the best and admire your spunk!❤
rest assured, the garbage is now gone :)
Just one small tip from a fellow French toast aficionado: Put the pan with a dash of oil on low heat and keep it there for like 10 minutes. Then place the soaked bread onto the pan while still maintaining low heat. One turn for each side and each bread, they will be golden. Bon Appétit!
MERCI!!
Also, French Toast freezes and reheats really well! I always make more than I'm hungry for at the moment and then, the next time I want it, I can just pop it out of the freezer and into the toaster oven.
Ahhahahaaha I love all the comments adding more tips about the french toast hahahahaha 🥹 so cuteee
AHHHH finally someone else showcasing what it's really like living here😂 love your channel just discovered!!
omg Jen I've been subscribed to you for ages! glad you're back on yt :)
@@ChelseaCallahan NO WAY that is so cool!!!!! Omg thank you🥹🥹🥹🫶
Not every vlogger would point out food stuck in their teeth.😂 That's why I enjoy your uploads. You're the realest, sweetest person I've seen online. Your sense of humor makes me laugh out loud. Keep it up girl, I'm here for it.
Hugs from Texas.🤗
wow thank you 🥹
These vlogs just make life seem nice? Like when you were at the park talking about just recognizing that you're here and you're alive. So much of these vlogs to me are a reminder of the loveliness of everyday. Like yes there's wonder in travels (you have those coming up and I'm excited for you!) and achievements (the money you've raised, your last marathons, and your training rn!) when it comes to life, but there's wonder and loveliness in a sit in the park and in making a plate of French toast and enjoying it. Not to get all sappy, but these vlogs are a joy to watch.
I hope you get to see Oppenheimer at some point! I loved it so much (saw it the same day as Barbie lol). And your French toast is a reminder to me that my family (and, as a result, I lmao) make French toast that is toooo sweet and is basically dessert lol (we add vanilla extract, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt to the egg and cinnamon mixture, sometimes a little dusting of powdered sugar when it's done depending on the family member. lmao my mom's partner said that to us once and I see it now lol)
Hey Chelsea, Your absolutely right regarding taking care of yourself. Our bodies are like cars. We need good maintenance to keep them going. Our bodies are really the only home we live in and we carry ourselves around everyday. We must look after it. Take a break before you break. I hope you have a fab time on your jollies (holidays in English term) and you get the rest you deserve. Do you know how funny you are? you have a very cheeky witty sense of humour. Us Brits love a good sense of humour. lol. xx
“it’s so much easier to be productive when you have something to look forward to” FAX🙌🏼
I relate so much to being caught in thought loops, having the quiet of the weekend be a little bit too much / overwhelming, and everything you said about decisions. The part where you were trying to decide whether or not to go to Dunkin-sometimes I get caught up with that type of thing for the entire day (I wish I was kidding!) especially if there’s a specific reason that I want to stay inside that day. And when you flinched because your water bottle splashed you, I was like “omg I’m not alone” because I am extremely jumpy from having anxiety for years, so as an example, the spiders in my apartment during the summer make me jump LOL.
Anyway, this was so real.
I wonder if these types of issues come from living alone and having all that quiet to think too much, and also trying to survive and make sure nothing drastic goes wrong (thus being wound up/on-edge?) . . .
I’m going to keep working on myself and my decision-making lol! 🫶🏼
Hi Chelsea, I don't normally comment on here but wanted to quickly say thank you for your videos. They bring me so much joy and I look forward to them every week. I am currently going through a transition phase, about to turn 30 in September and feeling very overwhelmed at the thought of leaving my 20's behind and struggling to find purpose in my life. I guess I'm not really looking for advice, but wanted to say that part in the video where you were so happy to do whatever you want on a Saturday night and not feel pressure to go out or that your missing out by staying in and just taking a shower, that's the kind of freedom and autonomy i'm looking for in my life. It makes me feel hopeful that if you can find it then maybe I can too. Also wondering how did you cope with turning 30.? Im about 5 weeks away and i'm not coping good so far! 😣❤
Spoiler: you’re about to enter the best decade of your life (so far). I can almost promise you this. Enjoy ❤
@@Elem70 right now I’m just so full of anxiety over turning 30 so definitely needed to hear that. Thank you for replying ❤️
Remember this: you are never too old to begin again. I spent my twenties in NYC and traveling (an average working model, not famous, but interesting), then that stopped --well because yes, I was turning 30 --or close enough and modeling is/was a super young business. I went back to school and am entering my 29th year as a high school teacher, contemplating what I want to do with the rest of my life. Taking yoga certification in the fall. Just turned 62. You are never too old to begin again.
@@thoughts3897 thank you for your reply. What a fantastic life you’ve lived! An inspiration! Thank you again 😁🙏🏻
I felt the same at the beginning of my thirties, now I'm 38 and I have everything I wanted and felt so anxious of missing out, I have the family and job I have always dreamt of. Keep working towards your dreams and they will become true x
Chelsea is the bomb! Her last video was cleaning . Guess what it was cleaning. I was so bummed.
She had 2,000 subscribers two years ago. Currently 45,000.
She is amazing . Smart , beautiful, interesting and her voice for TH-cam is 10/10.
I hope she hits 100,000
Before Christmas 2023. I think she is a gem on TH-cam.
She did mention Neil degress ( not going to write his last name) because she said you are living under a rock. I knew what she meant. The majority of people I know wouldn’t have a clue.
She’s the best subscribe. NYC is very expensive.
Help her out!
Hello Chelsea, This is my first time ever writing a comment on TH-cam 🙈. I came across your channel while searching for videos on living alone and I am grateful that I did. I recently turned 30 and I am struggling to come to terms with it. I feel like I am not where I thought I would be in life. To make matters worse, I am still finding it difficult to move on from a breakup that happened a year ago. Dealing with anxiety and sadness can be tough sometimes.
I work from home and can go weeks without stepping out of the house, but your video inspired me to change things up a bit and study at a coffee shop. Thanks for giving me the push I needed to do something different today !!❤
@giselles0902, Hi, I just wanted to tell you I also lived alone when I was in my 30s. I learnt a lot about MY life through that experience. I just lived one day at a time and enjoyed the freedom of doing whatever I wanted with my day. Have fun!
Hey @@ip6229, I appreciate your comment 🤍 and the fact that you took the time to actually stop and write this, is extremally kind of you. Thank you 🙏🏻
The end. 😂 And can we take a moment to acknowledge the quality of your vlogs lately?! The frequency + editing + comedic timing have been chef’s kiss. 🤌 LOVING THESE. Never change, Chelsea!
Wow thank you 🥹🥹 this means a lot!!
Your honesty is so refreshing. You’ve been one of my favorite TH-camrs to watch recently because you’re so hilarious and realistic. I love your content! Also, it’s awesome that you’re challenging yourself to run a marathon. Get it girl! Thank you for the inspiration.😁🧡⚡️🫶🏼
god. You said it and I feel bloody normal for once, I felt exactly the same as you did on your walk during my lunch break today. We're not alone and we will be ok
I resonate with what you said about anxiety and depression so much. It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one feeling the same way so thank you for sharing on this🧡
That comment about giving our younger selves a hug and assurance is so true. We need to be both disciplined but also loving to ourselves.
Chelsea, omg. I love you. Especially when you said, "I love Saturday night.. to clean myself." You truly bring joy to my life. Thank you for having this channel. You're the best!
I want to let you know that you are doing everything right, we all have our problems, I have so much anxiety that it keeps me from doing anything, I drive a transit bus and how I function with all the things I face is exhausting, I look forward to your videos and it helps to know im not alone...just take it day by day and know that you have accomplished so much even if you don't see it all the time, it's ok to break down and it's ok to feel like a failure, remember that to grow more muscle it must tear a bit in the process, also seeing more of you embracing the awesome city you live in is great...I suggest a pic of the Alice in wonderland statue in Central Park, I couldn't get to it when I visited years ago
Most simple and kind person in TH-cam ❤ I love your channel Chelsea
I’m with you about Chelsea
you're awesome thank you :)
im an 18 year old about to move to a city for college and i've been watching your videos for a few months and they just give me a sense of peace i love them
I’m 23 but I’m letting go of the idea of wanting but more needing a marriage and kids to complete my life or bring satisfaction. I’m working on my education and thinking of where I can move to in the next year. I’m working on financial freedom and I think your videos give hope and inspiration. I love the hm,m what am I going to do today, the self reflections, and the organization of your space!
Hi there, just wanted to say thank you for this video. I have anxiety and depression and the way you were describing how you felt on that Saturday - I can sooooo relate. Some days are such a battle. But you fought through it and made it a good day. I’m glad I found your channel! Keep being YOU!! ❤️
I get so much validation from this. Whenever I say I love vlogs, this is exactly what I mean. You nail it.
I'm 40, single and live alone too. I have cut off the few friends I had because they are married and have kids. Now I try to make the datys go by and it is nice to see people in similar situation. It makes me feel less alone.
why did you cut them off? what is wrong with being friends with married couples?
@@user-nu5gp5ez8l because they cut me off first and didn't reach out to me before every five years or so. That's not true friends ro me and when rhwy narry and have kids, most of them move far away. It is not the same.
Your video brought back so memories even though I'm 72 (how did that happen)! My 30s were the best years of my life and my happiest. However, after moving to Ohio I can say it was the best move I've ever made. I was born and lived in Miami for 50 (!!) years. Then I moved to Gainesville, Florida and those years were not the best of my life...20 years of "why did I move here?"
Thanks for the video and enjoy your life!!
This was such a delightful, cozy vlog. Thank you, Chelsea!
French toast: dip them briefly in the egg mix & then put them in a the pan ( have pan already hot with melted butter before you put them in ). YUM - - looks good, though!! Hope your day is good, Chelsea! : )
Thought there was something a little off with the French Toast (never made it myself mind) but the bread was probably dunked too long - isnt it luvly t learn things here!
I love love love your videos. There's just something calming, basic, and relatable on top of your voice being so nice that just makes me even watch an entire silent cleaning video lmaoo. Make them longer!!! 😊
This is the definition of relatable. Thank you for this! Love from a 30-something living in Berlin.
I'm 35 and lost!!! Ty for sharing this side of life experience.
I hit the sub button! I’ve watched a few of your videos now. I can truly say you paint the most authentic picture of what it looks like to live in NYC. I watch a lot of NYC influencer videos and many of them make it look so unattainable. Also I really enjoy your humor 😂
I’ve been watching u for ages and love your videos so much! This one made me genuinely snort with laughter. I find it so refreshing watching you spend so much time on your own and finding true joy in that- I’m about to move cities on my own too and I’m a bit scared of being alone, but you make me excited to go! Have the best trip in Europe, can’t wait to see your adventures
I really appreciate your positive attitude and "I love my life" vibe! I grew up in a more negative environment, so I'm trying to practice being more positive myself. Your French toast looked great (thanks for dressing up for us!)... someone has probably already mentioned it, but it helps if you use stale bread so it won't fall apart, and if you don't have that you can very very lightly toast it to give it more texture before you soak it in the eggs. What good self-care, to make yourself a special meal and take yourself out for some adventures.
thanks for another amazing vlog your introspections and life reflections and internal dialogue, are really sobering and heart warming, i love the depth you reach just in your daily walks just shows how active someones mind next to you could be, on the subway or sitting in park or standing right next to you, as a male most of us are taught to suppress these thoughts and its seen as a rarer trait which is sad because i feel every living thing has the opportunity to reach this depth of consciousness and self presentness and awareness :)
😊❤ Love the way you rearrange your apartment. So cozy. I love your kitchen as well. It's well laid out and for a chef like me perfect. You have a nice life Chelsea. You really do. 😊 Bella
You are honestly one of the only channels I check to see when you post. I live in a city and these videos I feel so seen and I think this is the New York version, brilliant. Thank you ❤
This was so fun to watch!!! Your content always feels so real and authentic . Your commentary is always a joy , thanks for making such great videos !!!
Yesss! Going through excel sheets and watching Chelsea❤ Greetings from Brazil
It’s the little things in life. Taking a nice hot shower ( body care/ skin care)coffee/ breakfast in bed, doing chores at your own pace, taking a nap during the day, taking a walk/ excursuses, fasting, cleaning, organizing, or just the pleasure of doing nothing. The older I get the more necessary it becomes. Omg going out for breakfast in the morning French toast yes please my favorite thing especially on Sunday! Wash hands egg, cinnamon, vanilla, milk, Texas toast or brioche bread, I lightly dip the bread on each side. Fry on both sides with butter. Sometimes I’ll sprinkle a little more cinnamon while it’s frying. So good!
beautiful and relaxing lifestyle NYC vlog as its finest ❤
I love your videos, I'm somehow always in a good mood after watching 🥰
thank you for being so relatable Chelsea! I've been watching your videos for motivations as most of the things that you have talked in your vlogs really expresses the thoughts in my mind. keep doing what you do best! Lots of love and supporting you, from a 25 yr old, living in the other side of the world❤🌏
I love your videos Chelsea, they are authentic and you really let us see what it's like to live in New York, the glamor and the mundane.
Another masterpiece Chelcall! Have a great week!
what a relief and how much realness in a video. thank you - so refreshing!
Chelsea I’m so happy I found your channel. I stay tuned every week like appointment programming 😂❤ love this little community you have built here. Another live soon? Would love to join the conversation with everyone.
Great idea yes I will go live soon!

Now I want french toast. Good thing I cleaned my whole kitchen with you last Sunday!!! ❤❤
Chelsea you are living a great life in NYC ! I always look forward to your content.
I just found your channel and I love your personality and authenticity or just how exist in the world. Thank you for sharing your time with us! I’m going to be sticking around !
Thanks a lot for the video, really look forward to them during the week!!
Omg Chelsea I really enjoy watching your videos, you talk about the real shit that may be going on in our heads! Love the reflections you make, keep going
The first thing that struck me in this video was how beautiful you looked ! I loved the indulgent cooking at the end, way too much of everything 🙂 lol. Glad your overseas holiday is coming up - is that your Prague trip ? It doesn't bother me at all to be alone, save for those few moments of intimacy I think we all need - not sexual or romantic intimacy but rather that closeness where we can share matters of the heart spontaneously.
Chelsea, keep doing your thing. You're appreciated.
I could watch your vlogs forever! So comforting. And now I want French toast
I like watching you so much, as people are saying below it is so refreshing just seeing someone living a normal live! Please continue making them!
I love your channel because it makes me feel normal. as a 30 something yo living alone in nyc myself. the biggest predicament on weekends is "should I get coffee?" at 1 pm.
I loved how you included more of the pauses because the video feels so real and then when you came up with the Mitch joke I just bursted out laughing 😂 Your videos are truly so uplifting and refreshing! Thanks for being you Chelsea 💜
The French toast cooking is my favorite part! This whole video just made me smile the whole time! Luv ya girl!
You are refreshingly real and I really like it 👏🏻💐
Your videos brighten my day
💓
What a fun vlog and the french toast looked delicious! I always put a little half n half, cinnamon sugar and vanilla extract in my egg mix.
The motivation I get from your videos!! You inspire me so much Chelsea! (I am binge watching your vlogs Lol I am a new subscriber) Hehe
Sunday brunch dress is adorable and so are you💜
I love your videos!! Great start to this Thursday in Los Angeles.😍
Hi Chelsea. Eggs are so small because chickens are not the right age to make eggs bigger. Just add some grated cheddar cheese and red bell peppers to the scramble (I put some smoked ham or sausages also). You're a fighter. Greetings from Bucharest
OH that makes sense!! thanks!
I look forward to watching your videos. It really makes my day.😊
Awesome! I love the fact your apartment has a great gas stove....so easy to cook with!
I’m also a 30 something living alone in Manhattan. Your videos are comforting.
Look at you go!
I love that you are so consciously doing these things.
Being present, in the moment, is so much harder than I ever thought it was, and here you are, just doing it!!
How is the apartment hunt going?
I just found a new apartment!
It's a teeny, TINY apartment (even for Dutch standards), but in a great location, so I have about one or two weeks time, to go from a large three bedroom, to a tiny, one bedroom.
I look forward to being all done, and watching your videos, about your move and your new apartment, from my new apartment!
Meanwhile I will take every opportunity I can find to procrastinate and watch my favourite youtubers! 😂
Thanks for your video. I love the way you share your thoughts and contemplations. As a woman living alone in HK, I can always find peace and resonate with you a lot when watching your vlog.
Fresh blueberries, eggy toast and maple syrup are sacred things for lazy weekends. Yum!
I love your realness! I am so happy I found your channel! I would love to live in nyc! Love your apartment too! 💓thanks for posting!
I just visited NYC for 2 days & every time I’m there I think maybe I’d like to move there but also feel like it might totally overwhelm me. It’s fun to see your behind the scenes view. Your videos are very well made and enjoyable/relatable.
Okay so I live in NYC and I always hate watching NYC videos bc I feel bad about myself but this one is so accurate!! Especially with the heat & with the price of eating out. Same with needing to touch some grass at the end of a crazy week. I always tell my coworkers this and I live near Prospect Park so I will go there and collapse on the grass. Im so happy you shared this!
Hi Chelsea I totally forgot about French toast 😊, now I know what I'm having tomorrow. Next time you make it just dip one at a time so they don't come apart, anyway it looked delicious. Love your vlogs. Take care, sending love and hugs from Rhode Island
I loved every moment of this
I have been living alone in NYC for three years, and I can totally really relate to your content 😅 so realistic !
When u Crack eggs by dropping them, drop them into the bowl then no mess on the counter.
on a lunch break and was so delighted to see you posted a new vlog 🥲
Yes me too! I loved the dress on her.
The thing I love abouts living in a city is the feeling of anonymity .
You are relatable - thank you ❤
These videos of yours are absolutely great!😂😂😂 Thank you❤
Hi Chelsea :-) a loyal, usually silent viewer here from Germany. I love your videos! There is something very special about your even most ordinary videos and I always look so forward to watching them!
What you said about free will and finding it not easy to unwind, when you actually can, even though that's all we probably wish for all the time when we can not unwind, and then it is just not possible...racing mind ...resonates soooo much with me. I guess, sadly, it is much easier to follow the day-to-day routine, that leaves no free time for any unplanned activity..than have the so much needed, but kind of overwhelming freedom and free time....Wishing you best ever summer in NYC and the best trip revisiting your younger self in that special place in Europe.
❤
love it, thanks for sharing! those french toasts are 🔥
You go girl ❤…keep on going…and get your ‘Glimmers’ on, you’re a star ⭐️
Love the humor! love french toast! love how much milk you poured in there!! Girl you are amazing thank you for your vlogs
It's not a big deal really.
Hello from New Zealand. I used to work for a firm where I had to go to NYC regularly. I often wondered what it was like to live there. I was living and working in London then. Love your videos, thank you x
I only eat the yolks! So I have an egg separator. I takes the yukky whites out.
i put brown sugar and cinnamon in my French toast. Sometimes pure vanilla extract too.
Such a fun one❤ need French toast immediately
Thanks so much for your funny, light hearted videos. I literally just got home from the hospital after an unexpected emergency surgery and your video was the first thing that has made me laugh in quite a long time. 😊
oh my goodness I wish you a swift recovery!
