Dude, I moved 2.5 months ago to this New York City apartment... and as you know, life has gotten in the way from me finally being able to unpack. But here we are!! Quite the mess has accumulated so I need to clean all of it first before I can really get to designing. But since it's a part of the process, I decided it's important to include :) Next video is painting and rearranging furniture so stay tuned!! For those invested in the bird saga, Anne Hathaway never returned :(

I always have so much respect for how transparent you are with us. Feels like so many content creators want to show you a perfect apartment that never gets unorganized or dirty. This normalizes things for us, well for me. Sometimes life is messy and that is OK. I am so excited to see your apartment come together while you make it into your home. Hang in there. I am so proud of you for leaving your job. I do not have the nerve to start a TH-cam channel or leave my 9-6. I also lost my cat today so I appreciate you sharing your loss because it really helped me. I had him for 11 years so I am pretty devastated. Watching cleaning and organize videos calms me down. So excited & happy for the new chapter! It is really really hard to manage demands of a corporate job & TH-cam! Editing takes forever and one can’t be creative when you are always exhausted! A lot of times other things like physical health, mental health & social life gets pushed down at the bottom. It’s very hard to sustain it without burnouts. I am so happy to see you thriving Chelsea! Don’t let these comments get to you ❤

The smell of new furniture is the best! It comes with that feel of so much hope and possibilities. As always living vicariously through your vlogs! I lived for a long time on my own trying to figure out life and it was a struggle sometimes. Now (married) I wish I would have enjoyed that alone time more rather than worry so much about it.
Chelsea, NYC single living tip, always add a packing tape handle when you have to bring down lots of cardboard boxes down. Frees up your underarms for other things

I have had to move cities this year for a new job, and have been staying in temporary places since March. Today I signed a rental agreement for a permanent place, its a shared flat, and it's been a while since I've lived with other people. I feel quite daunted by the idea, but know that the lack of stability, especially with the stress of a new career has taken a toll on my mental health.
Moving will be hard (especially because all of my 'panic room' items have been left at friend's houses throughout the country)
Watching you taking on tasks by yourself, and keep going even when it all seems really hard, and now being excited to set up a new space for 'future you' has been really inspiring and gives me inspiration to keep going through my mess, and feel like I can make a home for myself.

This is so real. When we moved last year, it took me months to get everything unpacked and put away, then finally decorated. Honestly, it’s only this summer (a full year after moving) that I really feel like I’ve finally started settling in and actually decorating and making this new place home. I love seeing this process, it’s so incredibly relatable. And you’re right about that tension and emotion that is there when unpacking. It’s so interesting. Can’t wait for the next video!
