Beautiful video! Thanks for sharing your good times on the water. I trailer to Wind Creek a few times a year and stay out for a couple of nights at a time when I can.

Thanks for watching and commenting! My son and his friends take the sailboat up to wind creek sometimes and anchor and camp. I had not been there in about 25 years til we got this boat. It has certainly changed in that time.

May I gently suggest you learn to read the weather and reduce sails before everything goes to shit. You should be checking your weather before your sail you can use vhf radio or there are several apps specifically for that. Also where is your pfd’s, lifelines, whistles, cockpit flotation cushions, down hauls, Topping lift, I must sat what you were lacking in prep and equipment you made up for with calm which is a big asset to have. This sail could have gone a lot worse. But Kudos for dealing with the situation you got yourself into.

I think maybe this comment was meant for my most recent video? This video was pretty calm. I agree with your comments, but this is an inland lake on a summer day. I was aware of the storm around us, but it was heading away and I thought we were far enough away from it for some good winds, but not like it ended up. The storm ended up actually blowing down some trees across the main highway. When the high winds hit w3 had only been out for about 15 minutes. I wanted to give my wife a few minutes of exciting sailing before completing the turn and going the 15 minutes back to dock. Certainly not one of my proudest moments. But- I thought worth shar8ng. Thanks for watch8ng and commenting!
