    Good onya mate takes real guts to share your mistakes publicly. Glad the beast is running again. Those turbo noises sound mint.

    dont feel to bad mate. this hack fitted a big pod all good i thought. couple days later filled up with gas but when i got back to the car after paying i noticed a big puddle forming around the car. yep you guessed it when fitting the pod i hadnt noticed that the seal had fallen into the tank and so all the fuel was pissing out the top

    • @BrowneysGarage
      @BrowneysGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      😂 Probably part of the reason a hose got crushed in mine, had visions of the top not tightening down and pouring fuel down the road behind me! These things happen.

    Thanks Browney, I was going to change my XR6 to a turbo but it seems to be far more of a drama than I want. Not looking to make a horse power monster. Might just leave her as N/A

    First video I’ve watched of yours. Just want to say, it’s a beautiful example you’ve got! Envy is one of the greatest colours made, it’s a shame most of them are run down now.
    I assume the injectors you bought originally were second hand? I have also learnt, make sure to get them flow tested and cleaned first! It eliminates the issue before putting them in the car and doesn’t cost too much

    Good stuff. Came across your channel by accident, looking for practical info on some rewiring for my FG N/A XR6. From the looks, you're a bit like me: living out in the sticks (in my case, Western Plains) and doing stuff at home unless forced into the city. I had to repair my old girl by hand on a shoestring after 'roo strikes (just finished respraying the front end the other day) and started some minor mods as I went. Watching this gives me hope that one day she'll be sporting a turbo too.😏

    • @BrowneysGarage
      @BrowneysGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sound very similar to me indeed mate, right up to the roo strike! Silly things they are. Fortunately it was in the daily VE so I don't mind the fix being a bit rougher, it's getting cable ties instead of nice new panels and paint like yourself 🤣. Good luck with the FG mate.

      @@BrowneysGarage Score is 'Falcon 3, Marsupials 0': #1 did minor LH door damage (kept as a badge of honour); #2 took out RH fog lamp and mounting section (modified entire guard, converting fogs to custom CAI ports); #3 was the worst, crushed bonnet and under-bonnet damage (replacement bonnet from wreckers). All repairs and paintjob done in my carport. Worked out well in the long run; not only did I fix it with my own hands, I've made QOL upgrades and personal customisations along the way, so she's truly one-of-a-kind now. Old-school 'home garage' repair/customisation is a dying art, some of us have to keep the tradition alive. 😏

    The joys of working on cars are strange .... so rewarding when things you do make an actual difference, yet so frustrating when it goes pear shaped ! Sigh , now you just need as many projects as you have digits and you'd be approaching my feelings from week to week :). Hoping that the weather will allow the Missus to have a go at Ladies night only at Willowbank ! Hopefully it'll help her understand our Obsession better !!

      So odd isn't it, I often wonder if I should throw it in and become a 'normal' person with all the free time in the world! And as you point out, I'm not even approach what your self or others put into them.
      Good luck, sounds like fun! Fortunately Missus Browney enjoys the cars too (mostly!), it's probably largely becuase of her we ended up with the BA at all.

    Ford recommends that Fuel Filter to be changed every 2 years ( 40,000km ). Change fuel filter every 12 months. OEM ( Motorcraft ) fuel filter is good product and not very expensive. Buy the fuel filter from Ford spare parts and take it to a mechanic to change it. Rear Diff fluid 80w140 change it every 12 months, ford recommends every 2 years for general driving or 6 months for driving at fast speeds.
