  • The plaintiff says the defendant is his favorite uncle. They were at his daughter’s pool party and the defendant pushed his friend’s child in the water. The friend jumped in after the boy and damaged her phone in the process, so he’s suing for the cost of a phone. The defendant admits he pushed the child in the pool, but the water was shallow, and the child could stand.

For all the people on the forum who have escaped from their communities and make the declaration of not going back, you may eventually find out that your newfound communities are not the panaceas you thought they were. Eventually all will discover and not be able to deny that the whole world IS actually a ghetto. Also, the USA has become a third-world country.
Also, if you don't resolve the issues and scars you obviously acquired in your neighborhoods of origin, you will see them again. People who live in the so-called ghettos are not the only people suffering in this country. There's drug addiction, domestic violence, delinquent children, broken families, cancer and other debilitating medical conditions, mental illness, homicides, suicides, etc. in the "whatever it is that you have escaped to or discovered".

Principle is principle. Being nice does not make you above the law.

I don’t think unc should have had to pay for the phone in its entirety. Like a 50/50 thing. Nephew should have stayed out of it and let them handle it imo. Yes her child or relative was flailing but I mean tossing a phone literally takes seconds. But it’s an understandable situation. Just don’t think unc should be 100% liable for a thousand dollar debt is all.
