When i first tried decapre and found she was a charge character, and how confusing her scramble tech seemed i gave up straight away, even though i was realy hyped for her. But it was always on the back of my mind that i should be playing her.
About 1 month ago i finally started practisicing with her, and she's . . . amazing. Im not good enough with her yet to say i main her, but i will be soon, she's so much fun to play with. She is now my favorite character, by a mile.

At 4:40 the Razor stick's guide button starts flashing on its own like the stick had to re-sync with the system
She seems to play A LOT like Gen IMO; mixups, knockdown setups, cross ups, when and where to charge, execution, high learning curve, and of course HHS'. doing mk > hhs feels so natural coming from playing gen
side note: watching him do hands makes me feel like he's.... almost human. lol. There are better ways to do hands if anyone is having issues.

i just noticed SF4 has jiggle physics.......check out that massive jiggle when decapre does her ultra.......
i think its only with that alt, i never see it with her base skin.

Landing the charge uppercut leads to safe jump setup if the opponent quick rises. The safe jump needs to be done immediately after the uppercut though.
Uh, hands can come out from mashing jab. I don't get the complexity of the jab+forward, fierce>strong>jab. You can even confirm of off dive kick, strong, then jab mash. Was she patched somewhere along the way?
Editing after some research: Is that input string for the safe, MK range, combo?

For cr. Mk into lp hands I just press lp and cr.mk same time then slide from lp to hp then slide back to lp. So lp &mk then slide lp mp hp mp lp. Comes out every time. Another combo I like to do is cr. Lk cr.lp link into cr.mp then slide from lp mp hp mp lp really fast. Great hit confirm combo, and it's always spaced correctly so you don't get punished.
How do you maintain the charge for her Ultra after the dash from the FADC? doesn't the dash cancel any held charge?
Yo, anyone know how K-Brad is managing to do a forward dash and still keep his charge for ultra 1? That shit is just not something that I can figure out.

On the first combo kbrad showed. What is the timing of pushing crouch to plink cr lp and cr mk. I got it a few times inconsistently. Do you start pushing down after the first hit or second hit of her hp?
I realized that a lot of these combos are off a maximum punish with a jump heavy. So this damage doesn't really surprise me. Still a very scary character though.
I love watching that little swaying shit cammy and decapre do when they transition into their idle animations. Hugo and Zangief have a fun one to watch too.

For cr mk to hands i do this and get it 98% of the time: cr mk + lp - hp - mp - lp - lp

On my ps3 controller I do Mp Mp Hp Lp Mp but the there is a fist that comes out, anyone know a more efficient way I can get hands without leaving so much open?

Never followed the pre-USFIV hype train...but I liked the way Decapre played even before looking up vids. Break feels like it could do some stupid fake-outs if someone went far enough with her.

A charge character with mix up potencial. This is why we needed more charge characters. I really wish they would put Ultra on PS4. I'll even sign up for PS Plus and get the cronus max for my arcade stick.

I wasn't sure how to do it from c.mK so I always did it from mP and c.mP like:
mp lp hp mp lp
Your method seems easy to use so I'll try that because mP and c.mP are not as safe.
with controller i only spam one punch button for the hands but i guess its harder for stick players

Hrm.. seems wake up focus dash wouldn't be a bad answer for those ground pound mix ups then. Depending on the recovery, decap might still get punished after FA dash too.

To be fair, the USF4 finals were on at a really bad time. It was the middle of the night in Europe and even for people on the east coast like myself, staying up until 1 or 2 am when you have to get up for work the next day is hard.

As someone who is trying to get into fighting games I can't help but see videos like this and feel intimidated.
Would these combos land in a serious situation? let's say a money match or a tournament?
If K-Brad is doing them? Likely. If we're doing them? Not a FUCKING chance.
It's about player skill, not the combos themselves, barring character specific shit. We, as average joes, couldn't hit that shit in a pressure situation, but those monsters are trained and prepared.
Depends on what setups you choose to unload unto your opponent, tournament play is all about mind games and Decap's got a pretty even spread for other character's win/loss ratio at the moment, at least by eventhubs' standards. Everything KBrad showed is definitely usable, you just have to have the ability to get inside the other guy's head with those mixups.
Don Simard You could say that about anything. A shitty chess player will usually always get their ass handed to him by a better player who has practiced to get to the level they are at. As far as Ultra goes, Decapre operates on mixup potential so the more openings you can expose and capitalize on the better you will be, it just takes practice not only on pulling off combos but knowing which ones to use in the context of the match, one after the other.
I love decapre she is so much fun. I don't think she is top tier though..she has a lot of weaknesses from what I see so far.

How long do you charge? When I play Decapre, it feels like I have to charge forever.
learn to always be charging even during combos and to move back to a charge position before pressing a button to execute special moves and you won't feel like you're waiting an eternity to charge

I wish I could fight some competent Decapres. Online is just full of scrubs abusing lag so that you can't react-block to their slides and crossovers. Also hands into super is so goddamn free.

Dan Nick With Ken you're going to be rushing down more. He's not as footsie based as ryu, although he can play footsies. You're gonna be using his forward medium kick to get in, or as a pressure tool, and learning his Kara throw is a must, because it has GODLIKE range. But yes, Ken is a more rushdown based Ryu.
