    It is important to understand that "sugar" and "carbohydrate" are synonyms. ALL carbohydrates are essentially the same and end up as excess glucose in the bloodstream. Glucose is essential but we make our own through a process called gluconeogenesis - and we make exactly the amount we require at any given time Fructose is the exception when it comes to carbohydrates as it is processed by the liver. Fructose is approximately 10 times more glycating than glucose even.
    No supplements are required if you adopt a species specific and species appropriate diet. It is not essential to ear organ meat at all - they are purely optional. There is evidence that eating large amounts of liver can lead to copper toxicity.

      I recently added too many purine rich foods,(too much) calf liver in particular to my diet and suffered terrible gout flare ups.
      To treat the gout my doctor prescribed daily Allopurinol and Colchicine to replace it (temporarily) if a flare up occurred; the Colchicine works promptly. The gout was agony and was causing permanent distortions (tophi) in my feet.

    The nutritional label should remove the carb heading and display the total sugars instead.
    At a glance, you'd see the true amount of sugar and not be misled into thinking that x product is low in sugar.
    Oats being just one example.

    Hi Ivor, do we have some hard research results or even significant anecdotal evidence now about heart disease reversal?. I know that there are some groups inspired by your analysis- what’s the feed back? any test results to share?.There are a multitude of different approaches- but essentially I think it all comes back to the Med diet… which is quite low carb incidentally I would say. I had a HA 8 years ago at 42 and progression is slow, but it is progressing- I always loved exercise and sport - but did smoke a bit 18-28 and family history. Any insights most welcome.

    There is no such thing as "good" or "bad" cholesterol. Neither LDL nor HDL is cholesterol. There is one form of cholesterol and it's called... cholesterol. Cholesterol is not deleterious to health in any way - it is absolutely essential LDL. If cholesterol was responsible for atheromas why do these not occur on the venous side of the vasculature?
    HDL are lipoproteins which transport cholesterol.

    • @UnknownUser-sc6jx
      @UnknownUser-sc6jx 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I think Ivor says it being a smarty pants he knows cholesterol is cholesterol regardless of the lipoproteins they're carried in. It's sarcasm towards the mainstream medical cholesterol cult. I've watched almost every talk his given about heart disease he knows very well there is no such thing as good or bad cholesterol.

      Fruit is a whole food with sugar!

    • @SKLightenUpNow
      @SKLightenUpNow วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Celticspy911 Fruit also contains fiber, and vitamins. AND you cannot overeat fruit, your body knows how much it needs. (That is not true for fruit juice, which does not happen in Nature)
      I don't know about you, but with one apple, I have enough. (and I love apples) - whereas with processed foods designed to trigger cravings, we end up going back for more.
      Information about glycemic index is helpful. Essential, even, if you are pre-diabetic or diabetic. A diabetic friend of mine asked me to NOT put onions in my vegetable soup: you know how, when you saute it, it turns brown? well, that is caramel, that is. But for healthy people, who will go and burn it right away (i swim 1600 m/day), it is fine.
      Best: keep a diary for a month, what you have eaten, and your mood after the meal, and again, a couple of hours after: you will soon detect if you have sugar spikes.

    It was you who switched me onto Keto when I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic Ivor. According to the NHS full blown type 2 is an hba1c score of 48 and my score was 47, but I accept your premise that I was in fact full blown type 2 because they added/invented 'pre-diabetes' to lower the shocking figures of those with type 2, i.e. to con people into thinking the problems isn't as bad as it is.
    Keto, intermittent fasting and resistance training = the trinity of good health and vitality. I engaged in all three together when I first got the diagnosis. After a few months my health markers, including blood sugar were all spot on, I lost 5 stone in the process and am now a healthy 13 stone and pretty ripped.
    Been doing this for over 4 years now and I'm as fit as a butchers dog at 67 years old and the clarity on mind is off the scale. Thanks for being a part of my journey to good health Ivor.👍🏻 Your research and advice also deterred me and my whole family from taking the death shot as well so who knows, you could have saved our lives, something I don't take lightly.

All had their stresses in life, never been to a gym, no special diets, never been drinkers but not T total either, one smoked until his fifties; but been active all their lives especially walking. Ivory, get an allotment and keep chickens on it. You wave to go (preferably walk) to it every day to feed the chickens and do a bit of work on it. Plant 4 rows of asparagus, 3 rows of strawberry, a grape vine and rhubarb and vegetables you like. Eat no processed food, no refined sugar, no vegetable oil. Eat red meat and fish, animal fat and butter. Avoid strong alcohol, drink beer/lager in moderation. Get a dog if you are retired and walk it every day
    I'm 61 run round and lift heavy items every day faster than 20 year olds.
    I refused the jabby jab jab and had a bit of a cold. I have never been ill. Cheers Ivor.

      Frankly, I was shocked at this video, which pushes his own supplements and focuses on food, a secondary source of energy, sunlight being the first. I don't disagree that some supplements can be beneficial to mitigate the loss of essential nutrients and minerals in our current environment (e.g., iodine), it's always preferable for the body to make what we need if possible. Vitamin D (a hormone) supplementation for example cannot reproduce the cascade of effects that occur from sunlight exposure. I wouldn't watch this channel again personally, although I know he is well-intentioned.

    Delighted to be back in Dublin last weekend. Hadn’t been since the last weekend before lockdown. Visited two great carnivore restaurants in the city, folk are getting there. I turned full carnivore last February; appreciate it’s going to take a while to undo the damage over several decades of poor eating but am surrounded by friends with diabetes, heart issues and jibby jab probs (I never participated) and I’m the awkward one re food!! Lost a load of weight, brain fog 3:04 gone and see no reason to not continue this way of eating. I refuse to call it a diet as that sounds so temporary. RFK Jr is going to be very interesting to watch when he really gets motoring and he looks the epitome of health; a brilliant advocate for his role.
