I think they kinda kept it old school in the interior for a reason just basic simplicity that’s durable and meant to last a long time instead of over engineering everything
so many complaints about lexus low engine power. lexus market is for someone who love reliability, comfort, and practical. not for ultimate showroom repair machine
@@paladin3116 If it was RWD-based, I would say the same. Though it's not practical to shove that engine into a FWD-based platform like the RX. I know it has been done but it's still not practical.
The Lexus brand carries over traditional asthetics from the previous generations. Making incremental design changes, which retains vehicle value, fan base recognition and avoids brand confusion.
Supremely comfortable and practical for the daily commute, groceries and school runs. It also happens to be one of the few luxury SUV that can run on regular unleaded. That said the car is an utter snoozefest to drive, even in F sport trim in S+ mode. It is designed for comfort, and it shows. If you value driving dynamics and 0-60 times, look elsewhere.

I own an RX. But I will say the Audi SQ5 was fun on the test drive. But I was buying, not leasing, and I’ve had great experience with previous Lexus vehicles. I’m old so to hell with the driving experience. I want it to run.
The RX's front grill actually looks a lot better and more subtle than the previous versions. It's not as Basking shark-looking as the previous one which lends itself well to the more streamlined appearance. Making it less angry helps it become a more sophisticated vehicle and harkens back to Lexus's past model RX's which were much more subtler.
This is a very nice rig, no doubt about that. Having said that, I could never own one because every time a real corner is ahead I'd be wishing I had gotten the IS 350 instead😅

I do think that it's ridiculous to spend that much on a car and not even get heated rear seats like you get in a lot of other cars. This is supposed to be a family vehicle, wouldn't you want that basically standard? The Subaru Outback has heated rear seats and it costs substantially less than this car, just seems like such a small detail for Lexus to not include/
