First time picking up an electric and bocchi's solo is definitely harder than it looks. The mute picking, the proper bending techniques, the fast sixteenths, definitely not used to pick. But I will definitely learn this piece because it feels so fucking badass to play it.

so I've been almost a year into playing and the intro is not that hard ngl, the hard part is to mute string--when you get that sorted out everything just clicks
how long did it get u to nail muting the strings im like frying my brain trying to do it but i keep leaving some open on accident and im losing my mind, any tips? i mean granted i did just cop an electric a couple days ago

I have a cheap acoustic right now and im learning guitar just to be able to play like this, im planning on getting one or more part time jobs over the summer to buy a gibson es 335. Its crazy because theyre really expensive but its something an es 335 is really all i want
Still need to look into what amp i want to get, i havent really looked into any
one of my favorite songs recently, its so fun trying to learn the different parts of it on my guitar, especially the areas with very fast strumming
It's good stuff for sure. Especially if it's stuff you aren't used to playing already too. Always good to step out of our usual comfort zones and learn some killer tracks all at once.

@@nicopoto8752 you need a single coil guitar (tele, strat, jazzmaster, jaguar) and a light overdrive (from a fender amp or a tube screamer / klon / whatever), use a middle pickup or a combination of pickups
There's also a lot a pedals that can be used, I personally use an amp that has a bunch of different sounds but it depends on the song haha
On the song, bocchi uses a humbucker (IDK which one neck or bridge) and a boss blues driver bd2

Is guitar actually really easy? I'm a bass player a pretty good one at that and I know a handful of acoustic songs but this song was crazy easy to learn I see how some people can "fake guitar" I never got that before bur now I do either way appreciate the tabs

Take it parts. Learn the first 10-20 or so seconds over and over until you feel comfortable with it and then work your way through the rest. Slowing the playback speed also helps too.

I think he use his middle finger to mute other string so he can strum.

U don’t press just put your finger on it lightly

Sound like what? If you're referring to the general tone, it's just some overdrive with what sounds to me like the bass and mids somewhat lowered. Slap a tiny bit of reverb on it, and some minor compression and it should be pretty close. (Play around with it to your liking as well.)

@@mjswegger6755 your Amp should have an overdrive setting that gives that extra vibration.... but youll also hear mistakes more as well.

how in the hell does that loose pick only hit the g when muting it, at i missing something cause the notation makes it look like you only hit the muted g but that looks impossible with how wide the strums are
Its possible I've done it. And its also my problem at first (string muting). To fix that, i adjust my string height for me to be able to hold the string for muting. Mine doesn't sound 100% accurate as his plucking but still it gives the expected sound
Also try using mute strap and place it at 1st or 2nd fret if ur having trouble of muting

His middle finger and thumb are resting lightly on the strings to mute them. He's using his index and ring fingers to press down on the fretboard which unmutes them since they're no longer being touched by his middle finger/thumb
