      TH-cam is going to be your best friend, trust me the process isnt that hard, I will say just make sure you have a usb drive. All you have to do is download windows onto that usb drive then plug it into you new computer (Not sure what you are supposed to do if you dont already own a computer/laptop though lol)

    Nice build man. I personally would have used the money from the 360mm AIO and 4 ram sticks to upgrade to an AM5 motherboard and chipset such as a b650 board with a 7600/7600x/7700 cpu which would pair a lot more nicely with the 7900 XT. Also the reason people use two ram sticks is for dual channel speeds as the other two are only there for future storage upgrade.

    • @Chief_Malo
      @Chief_Malo  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yeah true but I had to give/take some things as the price was already getting high, the performance of 7900 xt isn’t that much greater for the price it would of cost for am5. Also like I said in my video I hate the look of two ram sticks and I purposely wanted to over board my storage so that why I went with the 4 instead of the duel channel.

    • @curtiscovino

    • @declanmcgowan3729
      @declanmcgowan3729 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good build, but you really could’ve saved some money on the AIO and windows, you can get a good AIO for 70-80 bucks and windows for $15. DDR4 on a build like this already holds it back and is going to do it more as time goes on.

    • @ivanyu3930
      @ivanyu3930 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Chief_Malo True. Prices for AM5 boards, processors and RAM are still pretty high. Just not sure how long will it take for AM5 to drop to AM4 prices. By the way, you could add some intake fans at the bottom for better airflow.

    @ZackSNetwork ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Excellent job on the build man. You definitely went all out on the ram and CPU Cooler. I’m curious did you buy a lot of the parts 1 or 2 years ago. That would make sense why you went with Zen 3 AM4 Ryzen 9 5900x. Also why the 7900xt is apparently $1,200 instead of $800.

    • @Chief_Malo
      @Chief_Malo  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I bought everything ~August of this year, the 7900xt was $900 +tax and it was on sale. everything else was kind of fit around this though, the motherboard was a decision I made to save money because the price for AM5 just wasnt worth the performance difference from AM4.

    looks good, im putting the parts together for my own right now to build.     Instead of 5900x + b550 + 4x32 DDR4, you could've gone for 7800x3d + b650 + 4x16 DDR5
    That would've given you better performance and upgradability at the same price.

    • @Chief_Malo
      @Chief_Malo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Would have to sacrifice processing and ram and on top of that pay ~$100 more to get that set up, DDR5 set ups just arent THAT good right now for the price. I think once performance starts to get at least 50/60% better with a DDR5 set up I will start migrating to that. Which is at least 2-5 years from now, hopefully prices will drop by then as well.

    • @shwetkamalyadav648
      @shwetkamalyadav648 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Chief_Malo Isn't this one your gaming pc.
      1- 7800x3d is the best gaming cpu on the planet and it smokes 5900x out of the water.
      2- You are never going to use that 128 gb DDR4 RAM. You can easily buy 64gb (4x16) DDR5 and it will be more than enough. And it will save you around 100 dollars.
      3- You can buy a decent Asus TUF gaming b650 motherboard.
      The 100 dollars that you will save in RAM will easily compensate for CPU and Motherboard prices.
      You're never going to utilise more than 32 gb of ram that 128 gb is too much for your use case.

    • @Chief_Malo
      @Chief_Malo  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shwetkamalyadav648 I see what you are saying and though it is correct your prices arent, also it is not what I wanted.
      1 - that cpu is going for $550 right now which is $200 more dollars than what I paid for mines
      2 - I said in my video that I wanted to overboard my memory (yes I know that I will never use it fully but this is what I wanted) so buying GOOD DDR5(4x32) rbg sticks are like $50-$100 more.
      3 - I didnt have to go with the 128gb ram but once again as I said in my video, this is what I wanted and I built everything else around this. If I was to go with less ram yes I could of saved $100 in that category but in the grand scheme I would of still been paying well over $100 more total and we havent even gone to the upgraded motherboard
      I am not sure where you are getting these things for cheaper prices but please put me on to your website. I dont think that paying $300 to $400 extra(taxes and shipping) for 10-30% (MAYBE) better performance was worth the price keeping in mind that I spent $2,500 already

    • @ky...
      @ky... ปีที่แล้ว

      1. 7800x3d was recently on sale for $300 and regularly sells for ~$400 , just plug it into PCPartPicker and you'll see the price there.
      2/3. you could fill all 4 DIMM slots without going to 128GB which will NEVER be saturated on a gaming workload (considering you have a separate streaming PC). anyway, AM5 isn't stable on 4 DIMMs anyway so moot point, 2x16 or 2x32 would be the options on that platform to look at. RGB kits for DDR5 are around $100 for 2x16 and around $200 for 2x32, which is pricier than the same in DDR4... but not if looking at 4 DIMM kits which are $80-120 for 4x8 and $180-200 for 4x16.
      your build was just a strange spec for your use case and the cost delta was mostly aesthetic choices, you could've swapped the performance-related bits at or near price parity on AM5 (7800x3d) OR still on AM4 (5800x3d).

    The Samsung 980 pro will overheat the 990 pro is more efficient
    2. Gigabyte cards are terrible quality even more on the 12volt line you may have a short circuit with it
    I’ll recommend you a ASUS GPU for better warranty and reliability

    I woulda gone 4070 ti since it now beats the 7900xt in performance because if driver updates and is cheaper. I woulda gone an am5 mobo with ddr5 ram because of the amount of ram anything above 32gb the rule is go dr5 anything below go ddr4. The Kraken Elite I would have replaced with a deepcool LT720 White for better cooling at less of a cost to allocate towards a better cpu with that gpu too. Rest is lovely. In future builds use the cultists network for tier list of PSU to make sure it's reliable. Overall Looks very nice but you coulda gotten more performance for your buck tho. Keep in mind though pc building is a trial and error hobby and the more experience you get the better you'll get.

      This issue has been fixed a while ago with the 2TB drives. As long as your NVME drive isn’t on version 3, you’re good, and if it is, you can always update it.

      @@freshmoney899 I am not understanding your point?
      sure the 3070 is and upgrade from the 2080 but the 7900xt is as well. This isnt a budget build and I never once mentioned that it was anything close. Also @ZachSNetwork is right, the 2080ti is on par with the 3070 so why would I want to make that kind of build? The first component that I thought about was the graphics card and everything else was built around that. I am just not seeing the point you are trying to make?
