I love all the shots of your little furry helpers lending a paw to your cosplay. :'3

You did an amazing job! I understand that you may not be super happy because of your time constraints, but you were RECOGNIZED! Fern's a character that would be super easy to miss at a ren faire, that alone means the costume worked! The look is absolutely gorgeous! You're absolutely gorgeous!

Ahh thank you so much, this means a lot to me. It’s always hard to recognize your own hard work, especially if you’ve been staring at it for hours and days and weeks and months, but thank you thank you so much 💕💕

i love love love this! we're our own worst critic, and i think you look wonderful :)
i'm about to start my own Fearne cosplay, and i'm super nervous because i have no idea how to make clothing... sewing, using patterns, none of it- and yet i'm doing all of it diy 😅 but your lovely vibes in this video are making me more confident and more relaxed about what's to come! I'm giving myself plenty of time to have it done for the summer cons :) watching different Fearne cosplay videos is giving me a lot of different ideas on how to do things to the best of my very limited ability 🤣
i think the boots are super valid tbh haha i'm leaving the heals on my shoes that i got to be more comfortable, and i'm just gonna paint the heels black and try to cover them a bit with some shaggy faux fur. but if that doesn't work i'm definitely gonna just go with some chunky black or brown boots lol

Thank you so much, you are so kind! Best of luck with your own Fearne cosplay, I’m glad to have made you feel a little more confident in your work, and I’m sure everything will turn out fantastic!
And yeah, as much as my little cosplayer heart values making things to look pretty over making them feel comfortable, boots were a fantastic alternative- but having a nice black heel with some shaggy fur to hide the details also sounds like a really cute way to go about creating the “hoof”!
But as I said- best of luck, and I believe in you!

That turned out so cute and I think you did a great job!
And I really like that you put your own spin on I think that's really cool c:
Also we all know not finishing everything in time is a universal cosplayer thing

The true cosplay curse- there is never as much time as I thought lol, but thank you! I’m hoping to get to update the project a little more for this year, maybe I’ll get the hooves working this time!! 💕

@@LadySplitChin I'd love to see that! I wanted to make some hooves myself for some time now, maybe I'll get around to making a video myself to do so XD
Either way I enjoy watching your videos they're so cozy c:

The orange one is Hawkins and the brown striped one is Grohl-- but honestly most of the time I call the orange one Bean-Jo and the brown one JiJi :))

that is TOO kind of you to say, honestly I have a ton of insecurities, filming and editing this was VERY anxiety-inducing, but people like you have been so kind, and cosplay has done a lot to help me feel more confident. I'm sure you're prettier than you realize!

Thank you so much, I appreciate it! I definitely feel like I have a lot to learn and plenty of room to improve, so it’s sometimes nice to reflect on my work and look back at the pictures and videos and think about what I would do differently the next time around :)

    hi! This cosplay is AMAZING!
I hope you don't mind the question, and you may have answered it and I just missed it, but what sort of fabric did you use for the dress?

    • @LadySplitChin
      @LadySplitChin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hello, and thank you so much, that means a lot to me!
And I don’t mind the question at all, I used mystique satin (sometimes just called matte satin), it’s a little thicker I think and slightly less glossy than regular satin.
I bought mine online from an etsy shop because I was looking for a very specific color, but if you’re not looking for this specific shade of green or to buy online, I think it is sometimes sold in fabric/craft stores as bridal/bridesmaid/wedding fabric. Hope this helps! :)
