What an outstanding demo. we really got to hear the tone qualities of the guitar and not just a metal fest of distortion. Gretsch should pay you well for this..its one awesome ad. Even makes me want one and it aint really my thing ! Stunning looking guitar for the money too.
I purchased a 2008 Electromatic pro last summer, identical to yours, I was told there was something "special" about the pickups in mine. The guy said that this was the last year for these type of pickups do you or anyone else reading this know what he might be referring to? I like the guitar, I would love it if it had independent volume controls for the Bridge and neck pups - I hate not being able to control them individually. Overall it is a very nice guitar,I bought it used for $300 and other than the volume pots I have no complaints. I mainly play Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul's and I saw this in the music store and decided to see how closely the Gretsch version is to my others, pretty darn close I would say! In fact I don't really notice any difference between the feel of it from my most expensive Gibson, I think that's a good thing, someone else might not though lol.
Actually this model is the last one with this kind of pickups. I do not know correctly the difference between the new model and this one, however I already had both models and I like the old gretsch model, the one that is in the video.
Trocando nut e tarraxas, fica melhor ainda!
Opa ! Você me aconselha ?
Flavio Martins opa cara!
Lucas, this is not G5435T, this is G5235T Pro jet... 5235 has mahagny body but 5435 is basswood or maple? I dont now, prefered model is Pro Jet G5235 without T and add Bigsby B3 / B7.
I'm using a Meteoro 15w, it's very simple and cheap, it's no good. My intention is to show that this guitar has a good sound regardless of the amplifier used.
There really is a problem. The ropes are going wrong at Bigsby. I realized when I was recording the video, I did not have time to fix it before. Thank you!
Was it intentional to put the strings over both tremolo roll bars? Normally the strings go under the roll bar closest to the bridge. I made this mistake myself, then once I strung it correctly it made all the difference in tone.
When I recorded the video I realized that the strings were wrong, but I did not have the time to get it right. Putting it right really makes a big difference. Thank you!
That Cool! Thank you. In this video I'm using a 15w Meteoro amplifier and the Landscape Triefx pedal, both are low quality equipment. My intention is to show that it is possible to have a cool sound with this guitar even with simple equipment. In the parts of the video that you mentioned, I just increased the volume of the delay and the number of repetitions, very simple. The drive is the same pedal and I just increased the gain. All very simple! I'm sure you'll achieve great results using simple things.
@@amusicanaigreja thanks for your reply. I thought you were using some overdrive/distortion pedal. I like the raw and chunky crunch tone especially at 8' min on the video. Sounds more like a combination of the amp, some overdrive and obviously the great Gretsch sound! You are right that it doesn't take expensive gears to get good tones, just some patience in tweaking the knobs to find them. I have a similar model, G5435TG but using the blacktop filtertron. Played in church worship mostly. Cheers man. Keep playing. God bless..
How do you know? I have one that is identical to his but I don't see a model number anywhere just the serial number which I looked up and it doesn't say what the model is either. I was told there was something special with the pickups in mine. The seller said the next year or mid year of 2008 Gretsch changed the pups to what they now use and the ones in mine are so much better, do you have any idea what he is talking about?
@@hksigman - cool! thank you! Is mine called a Electromatic Pro jet, Duo jet or just plain Electromatic? What are the pickups in mine called? They are the chrome minihumbuckers. It has a single volume and a single tone control.NO master volume, 3 way like a Les Paul.

Could you tell me if the neck is thin or thick please

From this video I'd say those old style mini-humbuckers are the better electro magic pickup. Sounds great.
Definitely!
I have one of these in double cut. Quality is great on them
Great demo! Just seen one of these used for sale near me and wondered what they were like. You've demonstrated very well! Thank you.
Thank you, Andrew!
Beautiful tone and technique
Beautifull and perfect demo!

What song are you playing at 1:43?!
Most of the songs I played do not exist, they are spontaneous songs for demonstration of the guitar.
