The alarm clock bug is unacceptable. My alarm clock is working but it is a bad feeling knowing that you can’t count on it 100% anymore.
Mine failed a couple of times , now I have a google nest for back up
My phone is my only alarm clock. So I agree with you 100%.
im sorry but these newer ios versions just seem pushed out and so are the problems im happily still using ios 15 on my 10.5 ipad pro still can use apps etc im not missing anything without it

I have legitimately never, ever needed an alarm clock…
I miss the days of iOS 6 when there was never a need for an X.X.1 update. Just stable and reliable software with each new release from Scott Forstall’s team. iOS really took a nosedive in quality control starting with iOS 7.

Indeed the software is way more complex and unfortunately that sometimes causes problems which can be very nasty, in my case in the 17.4 release it caused a lot of problems with the essential Files App, blocking, not saving, and even needing hard reboots. I can only hope this has been solved.

I'm a chronic Samsung user but started using the iPhone 11 Pro Max 4 years ago as my secondary daily phones. This inability of Apple to handle iOS on comparatively few devices has been annoying. This issue with iOS 17 in its FIFTH version is very disappointing.

Aaron Last year I got iPhone 13 as my daily driver and ios 17 was pre installed . The battery is so bad in ios 17 .

In 17.5.0 my 15 Pro was getting very warm, but that seems to be resolved in iOS 17.5.1. it’s now nice and cool again.

I'd feel my 14 Pro Max smoother after this update, it didn't feel like it was running constantly at 120Hz and for now it does feel smooth as new. I had a major temperature issue with the previous update and some battery drained, let's see if it is fixed now.

Thank you. I’m glad that my phone isn’t the only one where I can’t change the color of the clock in nightstand mode. Small thing but annoying.
I finally solved the problem i had with my GPS not working when i updated to version 17.4. GPS was dancing all over the place and it did not even show speed when driving. I first restored the Iphone 13 pro max using a mac to version 17.5. Then loaded backup via Icloud. When it was all done i disabled Icloud+ Private Relay. And right after that, it was working perfect.
So far I don’t think I had any issues with my photos but I hadn’t noticed anything yet ❤😊

Hello Aaron. I've noticed that if I don't wear the watch when going to sleep, the alarm always works. If I wear the watch, the alarm doesn't commence, not on the watch and not on the iphone. Also, horrible battery drain on the iphone 13 pro on 17.5 with 86% battery capacity. watch seems ok.

Great looking wallpaper! I still had the alarm clock bug with 17.5. However, after updating to 17.5.1, I tested it out and it seems to be working even with the volume turned all the way down.

I am able to edit the clock faces in standby mode. I was also able to do that in 17.5. Strange how it only affects some devices.
I can edit my Standby clock. Weird. I do notice Apple Music does not play or connect sometimes in 17.5
Another bug- folders in files app disappear. Had to restart to fix it.. But i was really confused.

Hey Aaron, loaded 17.5.1 on my XE. Though one of the smaller updates, loaded slightly slower this time. (Might have been a Spectrum thing). The main fox that I have experience that the battery is cooler when charging and playing Apple Arcade. Enjoy what you do, thanks.
the wallpaper "desaturating" as you unlock is something i've noticed as far back as iOS 12 on my iPhone 7. Ever since then I always have different image from lock screen to home screen so it's not so noticeable.

Apple Updates to 17.4 and 17.5.1 keep losing my connectivity to an Eve Weather station . I have an IPhone 13 Pro, IPad Air M1 and HomePod Mini.
Had issues on watch timer and not showing count down, rebooted and fixed before this update.
Connectivity issues still remain for me. Every morning have to switch on airplane mode and then switch off just to get my network data working. A bit irritating at this time :(
what about the volume bug? i’ve experienced this ever since i got my iphone 12
Clock app still and only freezes when I attempt to select a song as an alarm tone. I can select a regular/provided sound just can’t select a song I either want or already have. It did it with 17.5 as well.
Let’s hope they get this bug fixed.
iPhone 14 Pro - Rebooted prior to update to 17.5.1 having skipped 17.5. I'm currently outside the U.S. and have two phone numbers active; one local and one U.S. with my Contact's assigned to use the appropriate line depending on the destination. After the update ALL calls were going out on the local non-U.S. line despite the settings for line assignments. After worrying about no longer being able to get a short code confirmation from a bank that refuses to use another method I went back to basics. Rebooted! That put everything back in place.
since the update came up i couldn't use my camera properly. It doesn't focus after 1x zoom

I do not have and never had the standby bug on my 15 pro. I can still adjust the screens when in standby.
Standby mode is working perfect for my on my iPhone 14 Pro Max but my Phone and watch Ultra 2 is having a lot of problems syncing and also a lot of problems with connectivity I’m often on LTE instead of 5+…
I had issues with my bluetooth keyboard before the update constantly wanting to keep pairing. It kept timing out and I got this pairing message on my ipad. After the update that issue went away.
Fantastic update ever released in iOS 17, my iPhone 14PM has really turned so smooth, less thermal and very good battery backup after17.5.1, I experienced the same with iOS 16.6.. I’ll not be updating to another release further without a proper follow up . May be direct jump to iOS 18.
My benchmark results dropped like 400 points for the CPU both Single and Multi Core tests… on iPhone 15 Pro Max

I am still experiencing squared off notification bug. I don’t think if that’s ever gonna be fixed.
I left a comment on the previous video about this photo glitch issue and how my deleted photos reappeared after the update for iOS 17.5.
Battery life using iPhone 15+ is far better than using my iPad mini 6.
Photos bug never showed up for me thankfully.

That’s what I waited for. I never update to iOS XX.X versions, only update when XX.X.1 comes out. There are usually annoying bugs in XX.X updates.

I updated my iPhone 15 pro max to 17.5.1, and now, when I make a video, the audio does not sync with the video . I'm in Toronto Canada.
I had a problem connecting the phone to my car. It wouldn’t allow me control music selection on car screen. Hopefully this fixes the issue.

I got a big in 17.5 that would cause my voice to be muted in a call when speaker was enabled. Would have to toggle speaker on and off multiple time before the otherwise can hear me
My wife's iPhone XR has had battery drain issues, since updating to 17.5, I hope this one helps with that.

So with all the issues with every new update it seems that maybe they should do a better job to listening to the testers. By now they should have a few like yourself that just maybe are doing the work for them and all they got to do is fix the problems. Seems that you have tracked multiple issues over the years like battery, heating issues, and etc. I imagine they have been tracking their common issues through the years as it has got to play a part on having to stop to fix things constantly. Maybe they could just hire you to help. I think you do an excellent job on the videos and content is superb!
Omg I have had issues with navigation for a while now and even though I constantly reported on the feedback, nothing has ever been done to fix it. Fingers crossed this update address is that.

While using air pods pro 2 gen pity I can’t lock it to that device and ignore and machine nearby that it try to auto connect to 🤯
The first thing I noticed in 17.5.1 is a regression on the squared notifications. Unfortunately, they are back. I went the entire week on 17.5 and didn't see it once. I've seen in twice already in just a few hours on 17.5.1.
