i’ve noticed the airpods have gotten crazy louder and higher quality but when the volume is at mid it sounds kinda muffled? like an 8D audio, not sure if it’s a bug
iOS 18 is lacking most of the features advertised in the keynote, but: The quality of the music on my AirPods Pro 2 made a huge leap upward. I had no idea it was possible, I loved the sound quality on iOS 17, too; And that was a step up from before. I think I’m in love.

It’s like it was intended and advertised years ago: You’re part of the “action”, in the midst of the music, the sound. Every little movement of your head is traced ever so slightly. I love music - and with the setup now, my AirPods sound like a $50k Stereo setup. I know how they sound like, because I own one. The only thing missing is a subwoofer. 😇

I noticed in this update it seems Personalised Volume is much faster to respond to sound changes and is much more aggressive, getting a lot louder much quicker

Yes it is.. Adaptive audio is a great feature.. and much improved sound quality.. If you are using an Apple Watch 7 or 8 , it’ll be good for another 1-2 year .. no major difference in functionality!

Hi here is some of the problems I found with car plaay and Ireproduce it: A few when youii ask Siri what my location is, it brings up a map screen overlay with my old location from a hour ago. Also when asking the weather it shows you the current weather but you can't get the 10 day forecast. When I ask Siri to play a song it does not reply with anything. And just plays the song. Also when people call me at home they now get the Siri uk voice mail which is great but when it's connected to my car they get the standard voice message And you can now have the bold font on car play from the settings

I want to be able to arrange the network icons in the control center.. DOES ANYONE know how to rearrange them? IVE NEVER toggled airplay but it comes before network data... wtf? I hope they let yo do that..
The last page right at the bottom of the control centre is only network settings. It’s just one long slide from the top right corner to the bottom right corner. It’s annoying at first but after 2 days it becomes muscle memory

It shows up as a separate option from iOS 17 developer. It will actually be listed ABOVE iOS 17 public beta not below iOS 17 Developer in your settings. It confused me at first too.
This is so unfair. I mean there small diff between AirPods gen 3 and AirPods Pro 2. We need pro features without that damn silicon tip. Head shake features should be given to the 3rd gen it already has head tracking feature.

If you’ve never used the AirPods betas before, you need to use a Mac to get it set up in the first place as the Developer tab in Settings isn’t available by default on iOS betas.
It’s unfortunate that none of these new features (aside from the spatial audio on video games) will go to airpods max, airpods 3 & airpods 2 & even airpods pro 1.
They don’t all have the same hardware, sensors or H2 chip for that faster performance and more stable connection with better BT5.3. It’s sad that the AirPods Max are getting left behind. Bear in mind. Brand new AirPods Max at apple is $549. And they don’t even have all the best features.
Although I think this fall AirPods Max will be updated to stay inline with the EU regulations of all electronics products needing to be charged via USC-C. Then surely they will get the same updates that AirPods Pros 2nd Gen USB-C got

@@ptsmallwood I think the best option is to keep them on public release. Beta software for AirPods are weird. They can unevenly drain battery life and also you can’t downgrade to the previous version. You forced to wait for the next update apple releases. As well you could have connectivity issues…. Like that alone is enough to convince me not to update them to beta software
I don’t have that option. I am using an iPhone 13 Pro Max and after pairing my AirPod Pro two when I scroll down to settings, I don’t have the developer option. I do have iOS 18 developer beta but for whatever reason on the iPhone 13 Pro Max, when you scroll all the way down after the earphones have paired you don’t have that developer option that pops up on the screen screen. I’ve searched through the settings, but I have not yet to find it

Maybe a faulty sensor not picked up by the software how do you intent to unlock that app or even your phone if you only want Face ID as an option. I understand why you would want it and it makes sense but think about the other people that aren’t always able to unlock with Face ID or their sensors stops working. You know? Like apple has to cater for the most likely to occur event. I know their decisions can’t make everyone happy. I suggest just continue changing your passcode in that case 🤷♂️

quality cant change unless they change the algorithms and they only talked about game mode which lowers quality

You can. You have to have windows with iTunes or a Mac using the Finder. There is no other way without bringing it to Apple.

Where do you enable developer mode? The Apple website says Settings > Privacy > Developer Mode. I don't have that on my 14 PM upgraded to iOS 18.

My iphone xs max gives me problems with my 2nd gen airpods pro while answering calls any other airpods work normally
