That wheel set was made for Sagan and from what I heard, they made two sets but he only took one. Mike's & Specialized are pals and yada yada yada, Chris ended up with them.
@@ruffrydazz2032 Chris worked for Specialized when he got them a few years ago. Rumor has it Sagan didn't want them because they were too gaudy, so they went back into the company parts bin.
Impressive leadout...that was fun to watch...you guys will be tough to beat......It would be fun to see you guys come down to a SoCal race and go head to head with Legion...you have the team to do it now...they're just toying with people at CBR
Congratulations on the new team, tactics, and first win of 2020!!! Looking forward to more Amazing videos. The Leadout was very encouraging for understanding of having a teams representation in any race. Thx as always for sharing!!! Good luck to you and TMB!!! 😎🤙🏽
I'm sorry, I don't follow... Maybe I am getting it wrong but the other guys with a similar kit to trainer road are called Terun, NorCal cycling is not theirs, and I don't think is accurate to refer to them with that name
@@hugoyoung4890 Yes, good to see Pete Morris from Cliff Bar/trainer road, Nate from trainer road , I didn;t immeadiately pick Johnathon Lee from trainer road, but hes in POC/Trainerroad bblackshort light blue sleeve.
What a great result, you seem very happy with the new team and all seem to gel well together which is a great sign. Wish you nothing but success this year!
Jeff such a bummer you left Terún. They got a great racer and person. People watching should know you’re a really good guy. You ended my reign on the Fire Station sprint on the Spectrum ride years ago. Best of luck see you at Alviso and maybe a P,1,2 crit if it’s flat!
Scott Mauller I know from a local Cube shop that Cube has a program which gets you like 40-60% off in exchange for using exclusively their bikes and equipment for a year. So the discounts are pretty big if you get sponsored.
"Winter"... LOL. I'm in Rocklin, and stopped dressing in compete thermal, when it's 40-50° so that UK cyclists don't laugh at how much of puss I am. Also, anyone interested in MikesBikes... highly recommend the team in Downtown Sac or San Rafael. I've dropped some pretty hefty coin at Mikes Bikes, and have found the service at these two stores to be more comprehensive than the others.
Hi I've been watching your races for quite a while now and I really enjoy the new perspective it gives me. I was wandering if you could make a bike check on what your riding. I've been now working on getting myself a road bike and now I'm only looking for what to get. You seem very capable and I'm really curious. Your a great guy thank you for the effort on the videos!
Hey Jeff, can you talk about how you keep your motivation to ride up in the winter? When its cold and I should be logging big miles I too often slack off and skip days
Can you do race analyse of longer race ? I’m competing for the first time here in France, and our race are like 70/90k with 8/11k per lap. Any race vids of this kind sharing tips ? Congratz for the win and the channel !
Please don't take this as a smart-ass question. Help out a European here. I love watching your videos. Do these courses ever involve long climbs? It just occurred to me that the races I've watched on the channel are always flat-course drag races.
What kind of bike do you ride now and can you achieve these speeds with a hybrid ? My average is 18mph and making out at 32mph on my Sirrus x 5.0 . Do I have to buy a road bike to achieve those crazy speeds?
I see you guys doing like 40 kph no problem for super long periods of time, is that something you can do normally when just riding by yourself? So whattya gotta do to get the S-Works and gold wheels like Chris?
Marry an arabian sheikh
I think Sagan is the only other person who's rolled the Gold Rovals
I'm having trouble keeping track of the Trainerroad Guys and Norcal cycling haha.
The other guys are Terun actually, Norcal cycling is the name of the channel because of the area Jeff is from
@@MegaCasper04 If you hadn't noticed i'm referring to them by their youtube presence not cycling team.

Excellent video Jeff. Great to get an insight into the team work!

Great lead out awesome race - congrats Jeff! MB looks like good choice

my boys gunna have a purple venge soon.
Really nice descriptions / illustration of team tactics in this one. Great tips.
so many 10k Venges out there!!! What the hell, are they 1/2 price in cali or what???
I'd still rather buy two or three other bikes for five thousand quid.
The Mike's bikes guys are sponsored by said shop so they get much lower prices.
how much lower could they possibly go on a bike that's 8k!?

You also have to factor in cost of living. $10k in California is not the same as $10k in rural Pennsylvania for instance.
You guys even gapped Emon(?) at the last 400 meters!
Another bike check?😍
EEEMONS freaking legs are beautiful
get a room you guys lol
He fistbumped me at the race and my calves grew an inch.
Damn! Great work. I'm still not used to these thicc tires we're all running now
26mm
To be honest, watching you getting a "free" ride to the finish line is less exciting to watch than your last year's fights for position. :-)
Beautiful execution! Summer's looking up so far.
We love to hear all those things in the title
You guys could wear down a giant with your tactics. Loved it.
That was a legion style leadout. Very well controlled.

6:00 steel bike?
C-money on the Ritchey Road Logic
Shows that even at the highest level, you don't really need an expensive bike to compete. If you suck, it is you, not the bike
in group riding, the aero frame makes hardly any difference, unless you're a breakaway guy or sprinter. Also you can get super light steel frames now.
