    Damn I was yearning to see you sprinting the whole time and boom, the guy wipes out 🤦‍♂️
    Not sure he had a flat tire, looks more like he hit the brakes too hard as he thought you were closing the inside space.
    That was a close one Jeff, pheeeew!

      Re-checked the footage and now I clearly see the flat tire when moving frame by frame. Shit happens but man, he was so unlucky he realized it right before the turn

    Of all the cycling disciplines crits have always been my least favorite... probably because I've never been any good at them. That being said, I love your videos. Very insightful and interesting and lets the viewer see what it's like to be at the pointy end of a race like this for a change. Thanks !

    You were pretty lucky there. :) I tried the same thing at my last race, although at lower speed (in rainy conditions). It's not until some time after you realize how close you were to going down with him ... For me it meant slower turns - in fact, I think I've been slower in the turns ever since then.

    You can see in the rear shot by the guys shadow he threw his hand up right before the wreck. Not sure if he thought you took his line or he was warning others due to the mentioned tire issue.

    • @NorCalCycling
      @NorCalCycling  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think he had a front flat and learned about it too late, was trying to warn others. Just my guess, maybe he'll chime in.
